NAME OF CLASS: How Not To Be Seen (Introduction)
PROFESSOR ToT NAME: Ninja-san

General information: This seminar is held daily at noon in a small field just outside the Weeping Forest. Ninja-san encourages students interested in learning stealth techniques and techniques for spotting hidden beings and objects to attend one or more sessions.

Mechanics: Roll 1d20 five times, RP out the results.

Section 1 - Arriving at class: 1d20
1-2: You're either stupid or clumsy: you showed up for class ... visibly. Tiny ninja vulpes shuriken sting you in multiple spots until you get out of range. Ow. Fail.
3-9: You found a good hiding spot, and you're pretty sure you weren't spotted getting there. Pass.
10-11: You found a good spot, but some portion of your body is showing. The vulpes put a couple of shuriken into the exposed bit to let you know you're visible. You should probably go before they circle around and find other bits of you to assault. Fail.
12-19: You found a good hiding spot, and you're pretty sure you weren't spotted getting there. Pass.
20: You are a very sneaky person indeed. Nobody even suspects you're here. Pass; you may adjust your section 2 roll by +1 or -1.

Section 2 - Practical application: 1d20 x 3 posts
1-5: You can't for the life of you spot any other students. Are you sure you're not the only one here? Fail.
6-10: You saw someone arriving, but you don't see them now. Still, you scribble down their name/description on your paper. Pass.
11-14: You didn't see the stack of worksheets on your way in. Or you forgot your pen - or the ninja vulpes lifted it silently. Either way, you can't turn in what you don't have ... Fail.
15-19: You spotted someone. You write down their name/description and note their hiding spot. Pass.
20: You spotted someone - AND you spotted the ninja vulpes stealing some small item from them. You write down who, where, and what was stolen. Pass; you may adjust your section 3 roll by +1 or -1. This bonus stacks if you roll it more than once.

Section 3 - Turn in your work: 1d20
1-5: You slip your paper into the box without anyone spotting you. You think. Congratulations, you've passed this session!
6-15: The box is almost impossible to approach unseen. How does Ninja-san expect anyone to manage this? You try anyway - but a rain of shuriken lets you know that the vulpes definitely saw you. Fail.
16-20: Nobody saw you put your worksheet into the box, but it's certainly in there. Congratulations, you've passed this session!

Bonus Mechanics:
Extra Credit - Spot Ninja-san: 1d100, optional
1-98: Nope. You don't see him. Is he even here?
99-100: You see a little flicker of motion over there. Is that a figure? Yes, it is. Ninja-san waves at you, looking pleased. Then you blink. Where'd he go? Later, after class, you find a silver seed in your pocket. (Quote ToT Secretly a Ninja in your post.)

YOU LOSE/FINISH THIS RP WHEN...

- You are finished rolling all 5 dice. That means you have to START OVER to try again! You may do so in the same thread or a new one if you decide to attempt again at a later date.

Hadiyya had been told to attend more classes, so that is what the djinn would do. Hands smoothing along the embroidered front of her halter, she headed towards the designated meeting place at the designated time. Quite on sure if anyone else would be attending today, but not at all bothered by the idea of having company.

There were any number of things that one preferred solitude, but this did not seem like one of them. There was something to be said for competition or shared victory and misery alike.

Seeing as stealth was the spotlight of this class, the ghoul had left all manner of trinkets behind. No soft chime of bangles or bells, she had chosen clothing that was light, and moved easily, silently. She'd also bond all that long long hair up as best she could in intricate knots at the back of her head. Yaya was, to the best of her ability, as prepared as she would be. Now, approaching, she adopted the care and grace needed to move in quiet. She crept on bare feet until she could sink into the shadow of a nearby tree, leaning into the rough bark as she watched and listened.

Open classes usually went unnoticed by Maple. Not for lack of interest, she had taken part in the one that had required reading and books (still unfinished, she would realize. Andrew would need to be hunted down) but mostly because they all required some sort of skill which she definitely didn't think she possessed. Or would try and give her some sort of skill set which she didn't think she would be able to acquire.

Despite this, she found her way to one of them. Oddly enough. Maybe there had been a pep talk somewhere from someone or something. Or well, this one required a certain amount of stealth, which Maple found could be handy with how many times she didn't want to be found by others (and dragged into things). So, Maple showed up in her usual attire as it wasn't too fancy or distracting or anything and nervously made her way to the designated session area. Her fingers were at her chest, intertwining into one another as her brows were furled as usual.

First step was finding a hiding spot. Okay. She simply found the first set of bushes she found find and just crouched down behind them. Maybe she could climb into them and stay there the whole time.

Maple was hiding really really well, because Yaya hadn't spotted her. She was looking, scanning the trees, the bushes, anywhere that someone could potentially hide behind, but she did see anyone. Maybe she was the only one there.

Yaya was also apparently hiding really well to her credit as well. Or Maple probably wasn't even looking very hard, just filled with that usual sort of dread that she was just going to fail this class miserably; that she would be found so easily, especially with her horns sticking out or just her usual brand of failure.

It was hard to tell really. Might have been a bit of both, in the least Maple didn't spot anyone else and for a moment thought she really was the only one actually attending the class today. Of course that would be the case, wouldn't it.

A second attempt was made at locating anyone else that might have been around. This time was better. She happened to catch sight of someone that appeared to be arriving late. With a quiet hum under her breath the djinn jotted down the name of the tardy student before resuming her stealthy bid at hiding.

[Section 2 passed!]

Maple sat there behind the bush, idly playing with the string of the small bow of her blouse, possibilities ran through her head of courses of action (the usual, sit and hope the day gives up so she could go home or even leaving without anyone noticing her, maybe). Most seemed dreadful in some way as they usually did, but there was at least one to keep going. That small lingering hope.

Carefully prying a few of the branches away, Maple attempted to get a clear shot of anywhere really. Of course, looking concerned but at least looking about and even shifting a few more leaves for a better view. Finally - maybe a miracle or something - she noticed someone new coming into their small area of woods. Their name wasn't known, but she was at least able to write down enough of a description that would, well, hopefully work.

[section 2 passed ~]
