Chasing the Sky [PRP - Cloud Chaser / Sky Chaser]

A pair of yellow eyes blinked in the darkness. She emerged from her den, which she had recently found out was near the border of a tribe. She had a feeling the tribe would grow and would eventually need the space. She didn't mind having to move. She was only one fox, a tribe held many and it would be selfish for her to stay. She stretched her wings and darted into the air. She was searching for the local deer herd and soon found it, killing one of the smaller females of the herd.

Gliding above the tribe borders, with the sun starting to set, the young 'phim kept an eye out for food or foxes. He knew that from the ground he could be a bit hard to spot, so he worried more about those that could fly. The time in the air was peaceful, unless the little kit hitched a ride. Drifting on the drafts, thinking of games to distract kit, a spot of red and white flew into their sky. Curious as to where the form came from, Sky followed behind.

Cloud ate her kill happily. Ever since she knew the of the tribe she was very cautious of what she consumed. She killed the smallest female and left the bucks alone so the herd may continue to breed. She knew of another herd but she killed one from them yesterday. She often ate fish from the rivers and lakes but they weren't her favorite. She was still unaware of the other lurking above her.

He watched the 'phim, for who else would be up here. The deer at least let him know that one was down. Landing somewhat in the shade of forest, Sky walked a bit clumsily. In the air, he was graceful, even if a bit distracted, but on the ground...Well a kit could trip him like none other. "Dratted paws don't know how to work on the ground."

Her ears twitched as she heard a soft thud coming from somewhere. She shrugged it off and continued eating. Another rule of killing is that she made sure that the whole thing was eaten and that nothing was wasted. Since she was just one fox it was rather hard to complete that other rule. She licked her maw then looked around and spotted another Phim. How did she not notice him before? "Uhm... Hello there! Are you hungry?" She stepped aside and nodded to the kill, offering him some.
