11/21/2018 - Alohomora!
Whew! Finally! All of the major bugs that Gaia's been experiencing (including the BBC box in guilds as well as an apparent inability to post on Firefox in guilds) have seemed to pass. We're going to go ahead and resume the year from where we left off. Quidditch captains, you have until the end of November to finish up tryouts, so anyone that wants to try out should resume where they left off in the tryouts threads in-guild. The first game will be played on the first of December, and that will be the weekend we do the first two games to try and keep it so we only miss one week of summer roleplaying in MoM.
Please be aware that as a result of all of this, the deadline for student profiles is the 15th of December instead of the 15th of November. Also, all OWLs/NEWTs are automatically extended until the 7th of January, so please get those in on time.
Also, regarding the exams, there have been a few changes to the way they're done. First, you now will reuse the same thread you had for your OWLs for your NEWTs. Second, we are removing the test part of the exams completely, so you are now free to self-grade instead of doing the exams. Third, you can only get all EE's or O's according to grader discretion. This means you are no longer limited to a fraction for what grades you can get on your exams. More information will come as a new thread for both exams is put up.

02/05/2019 - Sorting's Almost Over?Heads up, everybody! All student profiles need to be updated by February 15th to be approved for the current school year. First years should add their houses, and second years and up need to update their age and year, as well as any required information such as honors or test scores. Any student not updated by the 15th will be locked from posting until they are updated. Sorting Is still in progress! If you have not posted your first year there, or you have not finished your first year, you have until 11:59 PM CST on the 7th to do so! Quidditch tryouts are open! The teams are always looking for new members, and yes, first years are allowed to play. Head down to the Quidditch Pitch to get started! If you have not done so, you may need to head over to the Rules thread to sign the rules. Anyone that has failed to do so by the 15th will be removed from the guild. And lastly, if you haven't done so already, please make sure to submit your elective requests! You can use the electives list tab for the previous school year for reference to check what classes your students are taking. |

7/27/19 - All Aboard!Third years and up! If you have not already sent in your Class Electives please do so now! The Class List has been updated; remember, the old elective list will now be saved on a separate page inside of the Official Class List located under the "Last Year's Class List" tab found at the bottom of the page. This way, it can be used as reference by all members at any time. No running now! The train has just arrived at Hogsmeade Station, feel free to post your students if they have been marked Pending/Accepted. First years! You must be marked Pending before you can post! If you don't have a student yet, and wish to be in this school year, they must be created and marked pending before the sorting ends. If you join the guild after the 31st, you will be enrolled in the November - December school year instead. Also, if you have not updated your characters for the new year, please do so now! If you cannot find them, then they are located under the Whomping Willow subforum and you will have to update your characters before PMing the link to Cara MiaKitty. |
