In the bedroom, Layla was sweating heavily and twitching in the bed as she drifted from fever-dream to fever-dream. Some of them were memories and some were fantasy. She had no control over them. She also didn't know which ones she spoke of. There were plenty that she stayed silent through.

Still, the ones she spoke of showed a very traumatic past. She spoke of the deaths of Darin and Borias, she spoke in horror and fear of someone called Zuko, she spoke of alot of death and torture and pain.

There was very little positive in her long life, to be honest. They really only included the centaur village in the dark forest and her time with Borias. That was really it.

She was going to be dealing with this nastiness for a while...

A few hours later, one of the villagers arrived to relieve Za'Vira and watch over Layla. It allowed Za'Vira to go to the marketplace for supplies and get some rest as well.

Meanwhile, Layla was still asleep, drifting through different fever-dreams as her system worked out the iron and copper in her system. Only when that was past would she fully heal.

Of course, if her adoptive father heard about this, he'd come to watch over her himself... Thankfully, he didn't know... Yet...
