[1v1] Battle of the 'Z' [ Zaire x Zel ]

In his attempts to 'workout' Zaire had found himself prowling around the Gym. He wasn't looking for trouble but more of a spar if he could find a willing body. His glowing blues peered around the area before settling on another boil, a rather large one. Zaire started closer to him, a hand reaching up to rub over the back of his neck sheepishly, how the hell was he suppose to do this, oh well, "...hey..want to spar?" That was good enough right?

Having regained his memories of a very, very painful part of his past recently, Zel had taken it upon himself to do a bit of self improvement. He'd taken to the gym in force, and had been about to start another run around the track when another boil approached him and asked him for a spar.

He looked him over for a minute, sizing him up and thinking about it. To be fair, a spar didn't sound like a bad idea right then - it beat just running around the track and it would let him see how rusty he was.

"Sure," He chuckled, holding a claw out. "Name's Zel."

He might as well try to be polite.

Zaire blinked slowly, then he extended a hand out to the claw tapping it in a bro manner aside from shaking it. He didn't like shakes, they were unpleasant to him no real reason why. "..Cool.." Zaire smiled slowly and backed up, his muscle flexing behind his blue tank top as he took up a more defensive looking stand, fighting wasn't new to him clearly but - 'spars' - were something he wasn't use to.

Zel chuckled, sliding back into an aggressive stance, wings flared a bit to make him look larger and his tail poised ready to move to trip up the other boil - though it could be difficult since he had a pretty hefty tail of his own. He didn't know what type of creature he was, he looked dragonish - but then creeple often mistook him for a dragon so he wasn't going to automatically assume he was a monster.

He dashed toward Zaire, claws extended and ready to strike, He was getting used to fighting without invoking his FEAR - even if it made a good opener it was too easily telegraphed as an opening strike.

His slash was a light one, right across the other boil's chest.

Zaire didn't care what Zel happened to be, right now he was only one thing, his target. Those wings sure were impressive though so he figured he was going to be in some trouble with them. His tail swung restlessly as the other took up a stance that insured an attack.

As Zel dashed forward his weight held him back from getting to far away but he managed to get a step back before the claws connected. On a throaty growl he used the motion of his backstep to bring his heavy tail forward and aim a strike to the others side.

The strike was solid, forcing Zel to stumble sideways, unable to connect on his follow up swipe with his claws. Even as he grunted from the impact he actually managed to let out a small snort of laughter.

This was better than his last spar with Siku - he actually went and hit him pretty square.

Watching Zel stumble sideways brought a sense of pride. It wasn't often he threw his weight around but he was pleased to see it was good for something. Hearing the partial laughter he couldn't help but give a soft snort of his own. At least he wasn't the only one enjoying it.

Trying much the way the other had rushed him he went in for a swipe, not really use to using his 'hands' in battle. Normally he'd be in his natural state and anything besides neck, teeth and tail was pretty much useless. "..Your pretty fast.." He grunted as only a light swipe hit the other.

He managed to bring his arms up in time to help mitigate the swipe that came in, feeling the other boil's claws rake against his arm he chuckled. "You're not so bad yourself."

Zel liked physical contact in fights. Even if he had the ability to sling fear he'd rather be up close and personal or swinging a chain around.

He again raked his claws at the other boil, but he was still off balance, so to a casual observer it would look like they were just having a slap-fight.

"Thanks," The reply as snorted in time with a wince as the others claws hit his chest again. Jumping back, with little ground gained he took up a defensive pose and inhaled sharply. It was strange still fighting in this form but it wasn't half bad. Not when someone seemed to be as new to it as you, he liked it.

Zaire wasn't much in the way of plans so he went with what he knew, shoulder down and a pick up of speed in hopes to catch the other boil with his shoulder and knock him to the ground like a bruteball player.

With a grunt, Zel tried his best to keep on his feet, moving his claws to dig into the other boil's scalp, hoping to get some purchase on his long hair so he could stop him from bowling him over. Maybe this boil should go out for the bruteball team if he was going to do this shorta thing.

He also made a mental note to get his number and invite him the next time he went paintbrawling - he'd make a good meat shield if nothing else.

As the claws met his scalp he grunted, tail swinging up and arms going to try and push himself back from the others grip. He'd never been grabbed there before and just learned it was a rather sensitive area, as such his tails aim was way off.

Even though the tail swings weren't finding their mark, they were still making it super hard for him to keep his grip, eventually he couldn't get his claws to sink in like he wanted to, so instead he just let go, letting the other boil do as he would as he side stepped and prepared himself for another round.

Admittingly he was getting winded, even though he had passed thunder road and was doing exercise now, he was still out of shape. Not as badly as he use to be but enough to have him slightly panting and sweaty. On a crack of his tail against the ground he narrowed his eyes, "... you here alot?" Small talk likely wasn't the best, but he'd like to know given he could use another spar like this one.

A few steps to the side and a jump had him in the air and coming for Zel on a spin, tail hammering out like a whip towards the others chest.

He chuckled, "Lately y-" before he could finish he took a large, thick tail to the chest, grunting as the wind was knocked pretty thoroughly out of his sails. He tried to grab a hold of the tail and keep it under his control, but his body was still spasming a bit from the impact so he was forced to let it drop without much to do but try and gather himself for the other boil's next hit.
