Feeling rejected

Well, I'm dating over the internet. and its been about a year...
Anyway, I remember when me and my bf would talk for hours and hours.
(on IM for google, now we moved to gaia again)
But now when I try to talk to him, it seems like he doesn't want to talk anymore...I don't know. if we've run out of things to talk about
(which is almost impossible, with me)
or maybe if something is going on with his life
(he rarely tells me anything about himself, life/emotions. or he doesn't give me the whole picture)

Sometimes I even think he's cheating, either with another girl over the web, or maybe in realife...*sigh* or maybe he thinks i'm annoying...I just don't know.

But the more he doesn't talk or tell me anything, I feel so rejected, and useless.

*this was also kinda me just venting some feelings, and worries I've had

Either way, you shouldn't worry about being annoying or useless. You're not. You're someone who cares, and that's beautiful. <3

you should always try to communicate in a relationship. even more important when it's long distant.

You really need to communicate. If your instincts are telling you something
is changing between you two then it probably is. It's not to say that he's
necessarily cheating on you. He could be losing interest but he could also
be dealing with some problems or insecurities that are holding him back...

I had an online exclusive boyfriend in high school (we lived in different states).
He and I were very close and would talk for hours on the phone. We pretty
much met up online daily, and spent hours together there as well. About a
year or so down the road, I noticed he was acting different but knew he had
some home drama causing depression. I didn't investigate and we wound up
breaking up. Turns out his insecurity and stress led him into believing I had
CHEATED ON HIM! He couldn't believe I'd be interested in him for that long.
If I'd made more of an effort to communicate, things might've been different.

I was devastated and swore to myself that in my next relationship I would
be very open. I'd address things when I felt there was an issue and make
sure he knew who I was and what I stood for. I'm happy to say that I did
meet another wonderful man whom I'm now engaged to. heart I'm not saying
we never hit bumps, but we know we can always talk openly and honestly.
