It's so high up here~.
These "streets" are grassy and not well maintained. Though the grass itself is a
bright and vibrant green, there aren't the typical designated street lines. The only
possible way to find out if you're going the right way is to follow along the
walking paths made by past travelers moving along the same route. Your shoes
might get a little green!

Lillian's Outfit: Move In Day ║ Sela's Outfit: Sweet Girl

▇▇▇▇▇▇ ❤ ▇▇▇▇▇▇ ❤ ▇▇▇ ❤ ▇▇▇ ❤ ▇▇▇▇▇▇ ❤ ▇▇▇▇▇▇

Lillian set Sela on her feet as they walked along the grassy pathways created by others walking constantly through the long grass. The breeze was nice as it ruffled her shirt and brushed her bangs along her face. The blood made bangle on her wrist jingled against the ones made of metal as she held the grocery bags in her hands. It was such a nice day out that she hadn't felt the need to drive to the store. What a waste of gas that would have been. Sela skipped merrily beside her, occasionally picking a flower or examining a bug. She was curious, but she was still young. Everything was new and exciting to her. "Little Rock, what movie should we watch first when we get home?" she asked, calling over to the tiny girl running through the grass. "The Lion King!" her voice called out from the tall grass. "What? But we've already watched that movie hundreds of times," Lillian replied with a playful groan as if she didn't want to watch it again.

Sela came bursting out of the tall grass, holding her hands up like claws, "Rah!" she growled cutely as she made a swiping motion towards her mother. Lillian acted scared a moment before narrowing her gaze as a smirk tugged at her lips. "You better watch yourself baby girl," she warned, "You never know when the wolves might getcha." "Not the wolves!" Sela cried out, covering her face and running to her mother. Burying her face into Lillian's thigh, the blond looked down at her in mild confusion. "What's wrong?" she asked, her tone gentle and concerned. Sela spoke, her soft tone muffled by her jeans. "What?" Lillian asked, not quite hearing her. "The wolves scare me..." Sela mumbled as she brought her head up.

He'd almost lost them, doubt almost making him play it off as delusion. But if her brother was really here, there was a real chance she was too. So how had he lost her? She'd gotten far ahead to make out for sure, he hadn't been able to yell for her...his bloody throat! He don't even know where he was, but he knew it was her. It was. It was. He slowed down as he tripped and stumbled in the grass, catching himself against a flat vertical surface as he breathed slowly. Why was he feeling so desperate? No, of course he was feeling desperate. Five years, he hadn't seen her in five years. His woman, the one he made his, the one who was awe inspiring and so tantalizing, just thinking about her was making him run around like a chicken with it's head cut off.

Her voice! That was it, hers and another. Someone was with her, he hadn't paid attanetion to who so much and hearing 'mommy' several times didn't sink in past his near hysterics. All he could think was he found her, and if he had been wrong all this time he was going to be crushed. And what he expected if it was her? An instant reconnection after five years? He shouldn't have expectations, he would make it so just seeing her was enough. As if it could be. He didn't even know anymore. His heart was beating triple time as he came around the corner saw and it was her, no trick or games, it was Lil.

The words didn't want to come again as he stared at her face, standing on green overgrown sidewalk less than four yards away. He blinked, praying in the back of his mind it wasn't a mirage. His eyes didn't flicker to the small person hiding against the woman's body, he walked closer as his gaze remained captivated. "Lillian..." He wasn't sure what to say, how to say it. If he should apologize first or just tell her how unfairly happy he was to see her even though he had been the one to leave. "It's me, Ty. It's been...forever."

Lillian's Outfit: Move In Day ║ Sela's Outfit: Sweet Girl

▇▇▇▇▇▇ ❤ ▇▇▇▇▇▇ ❤ ▇▇▇ ❤ ▇▇▇ ❤ ▇▇▇▇▇▇ ❤ ▇▇▇▇▇▇

"Oh baby doll, why do they scare you?" she asked getting down to her level and setting their groceries down. Sela kicked at the dirt, her eyes shimmering with fear, "They...They want to hurt me..." she mumbled, not looking up into her mother's matching red eyes. Lillian stared at her a moment, not sure she understood. They wanted to hurt her? That didn't make sense. "What do you mean? Sela, you know the wolves protect you," she tried to reassure the girl, placing a gentle hand on her shoulder. Lillian had always tried to tell her any stories she could about wolves. Even went out of her way to research everything she could about them when she realized just how much Sela took after her father. If she had known she was pregnant before graduation she would have kept in touch with at least Hakem. That way at least someone could help Sela understand what was happening to her.

Navy blue hair swished as she shook her head and once again buried herself within the confines of her mother's arms. Lillian wrapped her arms around her baby, holding her for a long moment before releasing her and standing. "How about this, instead of The Lion King, we go home and wat-" her words were cut off by the sound of that oh so familiar voice. It was older, but she would know it anywhere. Her heart skipped a beat as he told her who it was before she even turned around. When she finally did she felt like she wanted to faint. After five years, he was standing right before her. She had finally found him. She couldn't believe he was here, standing right in front of her. She had had this dream so many times over the past years. It maybe not have been in this setting, but it was always the same. Her legs made a move to run to him but she forced herself to stop.

Sela looked up at her mother and towards the man that had called her name. Did he know her? Lillian stared at him, garnet eyes wide. The only thing about her that moved was her hair and shirt to the occasional sea breeze. Finally Lillian's legs moved. Once she had started moving, she couldn't stop. Full of joy at seeing him again, she would have loved nothing more then to be in his arms again. To feel his warmth. But as she drew closer to him all the despair she felt when he disappeared and left her alone, when he abandoned his child, came surging to the surface. Reaching out, she slapped him across the face.

Tyrese wasnt sure what to do or say next, there was no script between the two people staring in stunned realization that they had found one another. Ty knew in some inner deep down place that these last five years were supposed to be spent with Lillian, he'd vowed time and time again to her and himself that he would be with her once they graduated. He had wanted to be inseparable from her, but those things hadn't happened. He'd left to watch his mother die and get caught up in a two year soap opera featuring his own life, and after that, sometime within that, his connection to Lillian had been lost and he couldn't find her. He looked of course, but after two years he needed to be in a better place than what he came out of. And three years later: this.

It was tragic, he hadn't seen this life for himself and of course Lillian hadn't seen it. He acknowledged this, he had disappeared into thin air. But maybe she would understand that none of it had been intentional, he didn't know this would be the end result. The wind fluttered his hair and looser pieces of clothing, it wasn't noticed as he tried to grasp one solid emotion as Lillian approached him. He didn't know what five years had been for her, not like he did with Finn. His gaze studied the amazement kn her face that shifted into anger before she stopped infront of him as his head snapped to the side as he was slapped.

You never wanted to be slapped by any person who could bench press four hundred pounds, especially if that person was an angry ex. Ty stiffened, eyes watering before he grunted when the pain passed several long seconds later. He eased slowly, turing his head to look down at her again. He deserved that, he acknowledged that fact fully. He expected at least that in retaliation. "I'm sorry. I know it isn't enough-" He stopped with a sigh as he rubbed his cheek. Hellcat was Hellcat. "I'm not claiming I can make up for it." But he had left the relationship on a bad foot and wanted to correct it enough to make Lillian understand.

Lillian's Outfit: Move In Day ║ Sela's Outfit: Sweet Girl

▇▇▇▇▇▇ ❤ ▇▇▇▇▇▇ ❤ ▇▇▇ ❤ ▇▇▇ ❤ ▇▇▇▇▇▇ ❤ ▇▇▇▇▇▇

"You're-" she began and ended, glaring at him. He was sorry?! That was all he had to say? After all these years that was all he had to say? She knew he was a man of few words and he was just plain dumb when it came to expressing himself, but 'I'm sorry' was all he had. No amount of sorry's could make up for what he did! He had no idea what he did to her. She understood the going to be with his mother as she died but to flat out disappear. To ignore the rest of the world. To ignore her! Lillian raised her hand again, wanting to slap him once again. She didn't want to just slap him, she wanted to beat the hell out of him. To release all her anger on his face. With a frustrated screech, she dropped her hand. Sela was with her, she couldn't let her daughter see something like that either. "You're sorry..." her voice was quivering with anger and hurt.

Her hands balled into fists, the bangle around her wrist beginning to lose shape in response to her emotions. She had avoided all of her emotions this long and suddenly she was thrust back into them in one instant. She had always imagined how this conversation would go. How she would act. But once you're dealing with it for real, you really don't know how you'd react to the sudden appearance of the man you dated for two years. The one who took your virginity. The father of your child. Sela. Lillian calmed herself down gradually, pointing a finger at him. "If that's all you've got, stay away from me," she hissed as she turned her back on him. It hurt her to do such a thing when all she wanted was for things to return to how they used to be. She wanted them to be a family and spend their lives together like they always talked about. She wanted him back in her life more than anything.

Spinning on her heel, she walked past Sela who continued to stare between them and picked up the groceries she had set down. She needed to get home. To relax. Her heart was beating wildly and she felt short of breath. If she stayed here she might have an anxiety attack. Sela watched her mother begin to walk away, turning her attention to the man that seemed to upset her. She didn't say anything even as Lillian beckoned her to follow. She stood there staring at him intently. He looked kind of...familiar somehow. "Sela!" Lillian shouted as she continued to walk away from him. The tiny navy haired girl stood there a little while longer, before turning and running after her. "Coming mommy," she replied.

Tyrese inwardly winced. Was there another word for that? Not really. Nothing that was stronger or that sounded better than 'I'm sorry' right now. He knew what it sounded like. Like a murderer saying sorry to his victim. Pure, unadulterated sh*t. He inconciously held his breath seeing her hand raise again, but held his ground. "Not just that, it's..." He edged on quietly. As much as he hated to be on Hellcat's bad side when she was angry, hearing her voice quiver was a thousand times worse. Please, not that. There was something about being the person to make a loved one cry that was devastating deep down. He wasn't just sorry, for five years, there were a lot more words he needed to say to sum up how sorry he was, more than what he could say right here and now.

She wasn't being unreasonable, he'd hung himself a long time ago and it was simply coming to fruition. He waited until he saw her calming, albeit slowly, knowing it didn't mean he avoided the sh*t storm with his name in it. He blinked when her finger was thrust as him. "It's not, Lillian." A dull ache seemed to petrify his heart as she turned away from him. "Lillian. Please hear me out." He didn't assume they'd jump right back into how things were. You couldn't fake five years no matter how hard you tried. But he was sorry, not just one single sorry and that was it. Not a thousand times. Sorry wasn't a word anymore. "The way I handled things, I regret that." He pushed if only to stop her from potentially walking away. They called this karma right, and karma was a b*tch.

"And leaving you behind..." She wasn't Finn, not just a best friend. She was his lover, had been, anyway. For someone who hated being touched, to share his body with her meant everything. And they shared so much more than that, he bore his soul to her and that was his all of all alls. "Leaving you was the worst decision I ever made. If I had known what was going to happen, I would have done things differently. If I had known anything, this would be a different story right now." But it wasn't. Just, just please don't leave!

His gaze fell to the little girl who hadn't moved along with Lillian, his mind taking a moment to actually see her. Who was that anyway? Lillian called her Sela. She was a tiny thing, couldn't be older than...a few years old. Why did she have a kid with her? His brows furrowed as he looked at the little blue-ette. Her crimson eyes...that particular shade of navy hair. No, wait a minute. Dammit, wait a minute. His eyes dilated in shock to hear the girl call Lillian...Mommy?! Had Lillian moved on?! But no, if this girl was four or five years old like she looked to be...Tyrese felt numbed all over. That was too soon after he left, Lillian wouldn't have been with someone else that soon. Right? It was that or- "LILLIAN!" Realizing the little girl was tottering off out of sight, he couldn't let hat happen.

He began coughing into the back of his hand, closing some distance as he hoped Lillian would stop. The little girl smelled like snow, pure and innocent. And she smelled like wolf, integrated with a scent that held familiar elements from her mother. And something was so familiar. Pine. Some unidentifiable part inside himself felt some...some something, a connection, no, a vague tie with her. His mind refued to let the thought fully form and now there was nothing but pure panic coursing through his veins. Lillian, just STOP WALKING!!!

Lillian's Outfit: Move In Day ║ Sela's Outfit: Sweet Girl

▇▇▇▇▇▇ ❤ ▇▇▇▇▇▇ ❤ ▇▇▇ ❤ ▇▇▇ ❤ ▇▇▇▇▇▇ ❤ ▇▇▇▇▇▇

"Mommy, you're shaking..." Sela said slowly, watching the older woman's body shake. Shifting her ruby red eyes up at her her face contorted in concern, "Are you okay?" Lillian let out a breath she didn't even realize she was holding, looking down at her. "I'm fine baby girl," she smiled to her weakly. There wasn't much she could do about it. Sela was still too young to understand everything that was wrong but she could tell that her mother wasn't fine. Maybe she could do something for her when they got home. Something to cheer her up. She had see her mother mad before, but she had never seen her this upset. It was all that man's fault. Lillian sniffled as she tried to hold herself together. There was no way she could let herself break down in front of Sela. The shaking was from everything she was feeling and trying to push away.

She stopped. Had he shouted? It was near impossible for him to do and the accompanying coughing fit only reiterated that. Even when they fought he never raised his voice, even if he wanted too. But hearing her name from his lips caused her heart to skip a beat. She loved the sound of it even when they were fighting. It just always sounded so natural when he would say it. Even after all this time she loved him and that was fact. No matter how angry she was with him, she still loved him. The fact that he was trying to explain and apologize made things slightly better, even if it didn't show. She knew it was hard to reason with her when she was angry. There were a lot of things she had to change right after graduation, her issue with anger was a big one on her list. Her immense depression and anxiety came after and she just tried to avoid it by occupying herself with anything she could.

What did he want anyways? She turned slowly to face him. All that she wanted to do right now was curl up in a ball and cry. Sela would come cuddle with her in bed if she did that, which was fine with her. Lillian would readily cuddle her daughter, knowing that a few minutes of that was enough to calm her down. No matter the negative emotions she felt she had something so amazing in her life now. She felt the girl come up to her leg and hide herself and peeking out to look at the man. "What?! What do you want Ty?" she asked forcefully. "After five years you're suddenly so damn talkative? You don't even understand how infuriated I am with just looking at you right now," she added, obvious anger still in her voice.

Tyrese was relieved she stopped but it wouldn't last long. He didn't know what to say or ask, if even he knew what he wanted he was sure that wasn't plausible either. More than likely, it wasn't. Unable to speak, he stopped a few yards from her and glanced down to the back of his hand. A few speckles of blood, but that didn't matter. One of his vocal cords was useless, that just made it that much easier to damage the other. However, if he spared a little time it would heal over thanks to his regenerative ability. His throat would still hurt, but after a few seconds he tried to form words again.

"I know you're angry, more than angry and I deserve all of that. I was the one who screwed us up when I left, So I don't deny that all of this falls on me full circle. But...I want to fix it." He cleared his throat where he felt the sensation to cough. "Seeing my mother wasn't worth the cost of losing you. Seeing her tore away my humanity and there was no going back after that, even when I wished I could. It took two years from what could have been us and after all of that everything was gone, so It's in all fairness if you want to walk away, but I really am sorry. I want you to know that."

He wanted to ask who the girl was, but he had to deal with one thing at a time. He still felt numb, but the look on Lillian's face burned through all of that. None of it was intentional, that all he was trying to say. He never walked away wanting this to happen. He wasn't his father. He'd turned out to be his mother, but he wasn't his father. He wasn't, because he didn't toss people away after using them. He didn't disregard what affects his actions had on others. This was just...a misunderstanding, an accident never meant to happen but did anyway. "That was selfish of me." He grumbled mostly to himself.

Whether it had been intentional or not, he'd inadvertently decided he got to run off to deal with his own problems. Even if he had returned after a week when his mother died, he still would have been wrong for leaving without a word to Lillian. What a bloody mess he was. But Lillian was here and he wanted them back. He was willing to do whatever it took. "-And, I do want to fix it. Can we start over?"

"Start over?" she questioned. Was he serious? Did he just expect them to see each other and everything would be alright? She knew he didn't understand the full extent of why she was so furious with him, but even disregarding that she was still mad. There was no way they could just 'start over' like the end of a game. This was their life and he had screwed up. Badly. At least he was able to see that much. When they were younger and nothing was holding them down, it was so much easier to forgive him. She could never stay mad at him this long. Now she held a five year grudge and if Sela wasn't here, she would have released it all on him. "Do you know how comical that sounds?" she asked asked with a strained laugh. Even though she said it, she wanted nothing more. She thought she would be angry for the rest of time, but just being able to see him, the real him, she couldn't be angry forever.

She looked down at Sela, who looked up at her. Lillian took a deep breath and looked back at him. Before she said anything more she took a good look at him. He did look sincere, even desperate. That wouldn't change anything for them but seeing him like that brought a sense of pride in her. To know that he felt so terrible about leaving her, especially all the plans they made together, that he was trying to make her listen. They couldn't stay out here and talk about this, not when Sela needed lunch. "...Come on. We can talk about this at my house," she sighed as she motioned for him to follow them. Once again turning her back on him, she continued walking with Sela following close behind.

Tyrese nodded as he coughed into the back of his hand again. Everything he said sounded like the movie tropes he so disliked, but this was real life and he wasn't sure what to say anymore; those had been the only words he could manage. He knew this didn't clear almost anything up at all, besides the fact the he was repentant of his mistakes. But that was better than noting, it was a start. However, now he was silent as he momentarily followed Lillian's line of sight down to Sela. Shutting his eyes for several unnerved heart beats, his gaze flicked back to the woman. With a singular nod, he followed Lillian back to her home.

Bree, she only got to see the stupid f*cking drunks that stumbled around... Or the loving group that came in together. She missed Skylar. She missed Lucas. She missed high school.

Where she didn't have to worry about bills. She didn't have to worry about keeping the bar open. She didn't have to worry about working long nights. Everything was fun and stupid. She had given him everything. She quit her job - a job she loved oh so much - so she could move him out of her depression. But this... THIS TOOK THE CAKE. THIS TOOK THE F*CKING- Pace picked up, the purple practically swirling in her eyes now. Her dress trailed behind her, not hearing a word around them. Tyrese cared about her- BULL s**t. Straight towards the beach. She'd hide deep under the water if she had to. The tears stung hotly now. Everything was said through FINN. He hadn't even been there for their wedding and Jacob - someone who was about to be a clan leader - had taken time out of his life for the BOTH of them. He spent as much time as he could with Finn. Not for Bree, because he wanted to get to know Finn better. But.. But...

Pain. Pain was all Finn felt as he ran after her. Both physical and emotional pain. It always hurt him to see his wife so upset. It hardly ever happened, but when it did, it hurt him. It caused that depression he held at bay to well inside him again and again. Ever since the accident with his knee he has been nothing but a burden to her. She gave up a job he knew she loved, so that he wouldn't be upset anymore. Did she now think that ate away at him? He was the reason she was so unhappy. It was all his fault because he couldn't pull himself up for once in his life. "Gargh!" he hissed as he stopped a moment because of the pain. Bending at the hips and placing his hands on his thighs, he took in a sharp breath from between his teeth. His face contorted in pain for a moment before he straightened himself. He had to keep going. He had to get to Bree and calm her down somehow. With a gruff groan, he went back to running after her, following the small figure of her dress and curls.

Silence. Only gusts of air and flaps of Jacob's wings covered the efforts of snaps coming out of Finn to him. He swallowed. They had picked up quite a speed, though he wasn't appreciating Finn's outbursts. "Word of mouth isn't going to reach her. You know that." He voiced sternly, still not glancing down to him. He slowed towards Bree and Finn's home, having only been there hours before. Wings flapped and hovered towards the ground at a slow speed, letting any breeze make his wings curve and move back, as if trying to cup the air. "You know that." He repeated, now looking down at him.

They hadn't touched the ground yet, around 30 feet or so in the air. One leg came out to direct the landing, descending about 5 feet per 10 seconds or so. Now that they would reach their destination soon, Jacob's arms gripped Finn a little tighter to make the their landing not feel like a jolt. Eyes glinted from sunlight. "The way she feels isn't always your fault. Things you do and regret are your only faults." It was more of a wise tone now. "What would make you think this is your fault for her believing a certain way your friend feels." Another more demanding way of questioning.

Of course he knew of Tyrese. It wasn't often she talked about him, but he had longed for her own attention from him. She loved the book he wrote for them - but not showing up to a wedding and not bothering to make contact with her was a different thing. His eyes fell off of Finn's and they neared the ground, the tip of his toe touching before he stepped forward, though his grip remained tight.

His heart sank. Jacob didn't understand. He didn't have someone that when they looked at you, all you could see was disappointment. He didn't know what it was like to be the reason that someone you loved more than anything had to give up on their dreams. If he had never gotten hurt, taken things a little slower...Bree gave up everything for him and what has he done? Nothing. He hasn't done one single thing for her. He couldn't even pretend to be happy about having Ty be the Godfather of their child. He couldn't make Bree happy. He wasn't qualified for that. He didn't deserve someone as bright, loving and just all around wonderful like Bree. What qualities did he have that made him her soul mate? He was nothing but a screw up. Their life had been perfect before and now...now it was shattered. All because she felt sorry for him as he spiraled through depression.

Seeing the ground only feet from him, he tore himself away from Jacob with all the force he had, dropping to his feet, knees bending the moment he hit the ground. "Just, go home Jacob," Finn sighed as he turned away from the man. He just wanted to be alone right now. He didn't want to hear anything anyone had to say. This was between him and his wife.
