NAME OF CLASS: Arts and Crafts 101
PROFESSOR NAME: Professor Zixil Braxton

General information:
The Arts and Crafts room is tucked away in the corner - one way in and out, which is just how the teacher likes it. The classroom looks normal enough from the outside, with its standard door and numberplate (with an added addendum by the teacher, his name and the class title added on a piece of Muck Tape). The inside, however, looks like someone found all of the weird, eclectic stuff within a five mile radius, ate it, and then vomited it all up. The teacher has either completely lost his mind, or is trying way, way too hard. The cabinets that line the walls are partially filled with beginner art supplies: slime-based paints, earwax crayons, and...glitter, a thing so evil that it can be known by no other name.

Mechanics:
Your Most Excellent Professor isn't going to fill your head with crazy ideas. That's all up to you!

Upon entering the class, roll 1d100 to determine your Muse Level (ML).

Muse Level 1-20

Woah, you can't make art with a Muse Level this low! Go stare longingly at your first crush, or listen to emotional music, or cry it out! We can't have you making anything that's worth less than 20 silver seeds beneath your actual capabilities.

Muse Level 21-50

Did you dip yourself in paint and roll your face over the canvas? That's not going to be acceptable. Nobody will want to buy this. Or look at it. Not even kind of.

Muse Level 51-80

Looks like you might have the right idea. Go ahead and give it a shot. I guess the worst thing that could happen is you ruin everything, but that's okay.

Muse Level 81-100

Got a real overachiever here! Creativity is oozing from your pores (seriously clean that stuff up please)!

If you roll 1-50, you will need to make another attempt. A roll of 51-100 allows you to proceed. The above information correlating to your ML gives you a good idea of how your student will be approaching this assignment.

If you succeeded in developing a passable Muse Level, you will then need to roll a 1d10 to determine to overall success of your drawing/painting/sculpture etc. Feel free to pick whatever medium you'd like!

1-3 You really poured yourself into this one, but the Professor isn't quite feeling it. Take it home and pin it on your wall, because that's all you're getting. (Fail. You'll have to make another attempt!)
4-9 You paid careful attention to details, color schemes, and - most importantly - marketability. Professor Braxton smashes a sickly note to your body with a sloppy "A" written on it, because ruining the art would be a travesty. As far as you can tell, you've done a good thing. (Pass!)
10 You are a prodigy! This thing belongs in a museum! Or the home of the highest bidder! Your artwork will be displayed in front of the entire class. Hope you're not shy. (SUPER-PASS!)

You must RP your student creating their...well, whatever they make.

Bonus Mechanics:
•If you include a DRAWN representation of the piece of art that your student creates, you can automatically add 2 to your success roll, ultimately bringing up their final score. These drawings do not have to be anything fantastic, and can be as detailed or non-detailed as you want.

•Any student who is able to use magic to create illusions can roll 1d4 to determine how amazing their artwork appears. Which is what matters. If you roll even, you can add 1 point. If you roll odd, no points can be added. This can not be combined with the 2 points you can add when including an image.

•Any student who lacks dexterity (lookin' at you, claw-handed monsters) can roll 1d4 to determine their ability to talk Professor Braxton into believing that the piece of art's concept is going over his head and is, in fact, a true masterpiece. If you roll even, you can add 1 point. If you roll odd, no points can be added. This can not be combined with the 2 points you can add when including an image.

Each visit to the classroom has the potential to span multiple posts due to the amount of dice rolls. You can interact with other students, try to steal their concepts - whatever you'd like to play out!

YOU COMPLETE THE CLASS WHEN

You pass the class!

It was morning, start of a new week and he was already annoyed slightly. Class, just the word made him sick. On a groan the monster boil rolled from bed and tussled his hair to make it look fixed, a brush of teeth and pull of a shirt later and he was out the door. Jory had said they had this class together, the last he let the other monster look over his schedule so for once he bothered to show up.

Though still not thrilled, even if Jory would be there.

Entering the room his tail swept the ground and knocked over one of the professors pieces of trash. Because that's all the monster considered the useless piles of electric things to be, however he did pick it back up if only for the look he was shot. One low growl later and he was depositing himself into an empty chair, their assignment was on the board but instead of looking there he glanced around for Jory first.

Zaire might have rolled out of bed already in a grouchy mood, but his boil friend had woken up early, as he usually did, and took his time getting ready for class. White hair had been pulled back and tied into a high tail. he'd brushed his teeth, washed up, gotten dressed, and left his room with plenty of time to spar.

He was actually already in the classroom when Zaire showed up, and the automatic smile that graced blue lips slipped as the taller boil's tail knocked over what was probably meant to be a sculpture, but looked like e-waste. A wince followed the crash, toes curling against the tile, and he waited until the mahamba had picked the thing back up before getting up from where he'd sat to claim the chair beside him.

Had that been a growl?

Oh dear. His boilfriend was not a morning person. The afanc very quietly sat down, folding his hands on the tablet top.

Feeling someone approaching he glanced over and noticed Jory. On a deep inhale Zaire looked away, then got up on a mutter, "going to get some supplies.." And that was it, moving to the shelving he reached in and collected some paper and some slime-based paints. Painting was easy, it seemed you could just flop paint onto the paper and people thought it was art.

An arm full of supplies later and he was back at Jory's side. A touch of a smile given to him before the supplies were laid out on the table, some spilling over into Jory's work space as well. A clawed hand reached for the brush then the tip dipped into a blue that matched the boil next to him's color. Zaire didn't have a plan so the brush just started with lazy awkward strokes to color the paper.

Nope, definitely not a morning person.

Jory watched on as Zaire gave him a look before dragging himself out of his chair and heading to get some supplies. It left the smaller boil sitting there, legs curled beneath himself, baby blues tracking the mahamba's movements.

When he came back to spill the painting supplies across the table Jory caught that little smile before it had slipped away to concentration. It had him smiling as well, and his tail swayed, bumping Zaire's much larger one before looping around it.

While his boilfriend picked blue, Jory picked green. He poured a little of the bright paint into a small cup, then helped himself to a small paint brush. Where Zaire was using awkward, long strokes, the afanc was hunched over his paper, painting small, careful loops and lines.

After a few moments he straightened up again to look at his work from a proper distance. It was a knot, a Celtic knot. Nothing terribly impressive, but not half bad either. Smiling proudly, he helped himself to a bit of black paint, and used the darker pigment to outline the brighter green. A white border was added at the very end.

It surprised him when their teacher informed him he had passed, but that startled expression lasted only a handful of seconds before he was sliding his painting across the table to show the boil beside him.

Jory enjoyed crafts.

Feeling the bump of tails a low snort was given, one much less threatening than the previous growl but still grumpy sounding. His thicker tail swayed impatiently before stilling as the smaller tail looped around it. For a moment Zaire debated shaking it off but instead concentrated on his project, knowing if he just powered through the sooner he would be done and out of here. Then he could pull Jory off for an afternoon nap. A few more strokes of paint and the paper was covered in various shades of blue that made up a mosaic looking eye in the center.

Zaire debated leaving it like it was but with a frown he cleaned his brush and poured some white paint into a cup for him to use. Just a few final touches and then he would be done. For a moment a pink tip of tongue peeked past his lips and Zaire bent and slowly started again.

Each shaded square was carefully lined in white before he turned the semi-soggy paper around for their teacher. When the professor gave him a passing grade another snort came, this one a little easier. Zaire couldn't help but be a little proud of himself honestly, which put him in a slightly better mood for when Jory turned to him. A glance to the near matching blue eyes and he looked down to the present project. For a moment the monster boil silent admire the careful lines in the artwork, then a faint and fleeing smile passed thin lips.

"...Cool.." Zaire finally spoke while looking into his boilfriends eyes, the Celtic knot was cool and it looked like Jory was pretty pleased with it so compliments where they were due were given. Picking up his own paper he pushed it towards the other boil and raised up, stretching out on a loud yawn. "Lets...get out of here.."

"Oh, that's really nice!" Despite the obvious grumpiness radiating off his boilfriend, Jory was enjoying himself. He liked this sort of thing, though usually it was models he was painting, rather than paper. Still, he found it enjoyable, as evidence by the lazy little smile he was wearing as he dabbed the tip of a finger into the blue paint and brought it up to leave a colorful smudge on his boilfriend's nose.

It didn't show often, but the afanc had a small mischievous side, one that didn't come out until he was incredibly comfortable with someone one. "You've got a little..." He gestured, smile growing into an all out grin before he leaned in to steal a quick kiss as he got to his feet.

Both the paintings were grabbed off the table, held gingerly by the edge so he would smear the paint on them. He intended to keep Zaire's, and would hold onto his own as well unless the mahamba wanted it. "Come on Mr. Grumpyface, let's go take a nap.

Startled into a growl, though admittingly a soft one due to it being his boilfriend, Zaire frowned for the paint smudge. Brat, generally he enjoyed this side of Jory but at the moment he couldn't help but get slightly annoyed. A cold look coming to life but for mere seconds before a kiss melted it.

Jack Damn it, how could he stay mad after that.

A hiss and he was bringing Jory closer, coiling an arm around his waist and nipping at his ear in minor annoyance. He didn't really care if Jory wanted to keep his work, though didn't really see a point in it either. "Brat.." A small tug at the corner of his lips came though it was masked as he slouched to drape over the back of the other boil, cuddling into him at the mention of nap. "Lead the way.." Smirking he put a little more of his weight on Jory to urge him forward, hips pressing alittle against his backside.
