"Could this be, love?"

What a night it was, what kind of a night was it anyways? She couldn't think, she couldn't remember or even think. Everything was a blur, well, blur was an understatement, considering she seemed reduced to basic carnal instincts. Like an animal, or worse.

After last night, it seemed like she was reduced to a shell of herself, stained with dirt, a hint of black slime and a look in those baby blues that showed no signs of life like they used to, just a few hours ago. She wasn't among the living anymore, no more that Coralyn who could feel, who could love, who could speak. She was now a mindless goon, doing the thing her body was programmed to do.

Dry lips mumbled something incomprehensible, though, with no voice, it was evident one couldn't understand either ways. The burn didn't sting anymore, nor did the few bruises from a possible fall. Was her skin starting to pale? A slight hunch in her posture, her head lulling to the side further emphasized on the lack of life.

She followed a faint smell, the smell of the one he wanted. She came around here, she came around here often and the closer she got, the stronger it seemed. A young woman, human it would seem, but for how long? For how long will she be full of feelings, full of wishes and desires, regrets--full of life?

The lifeless being stood under one of the trees, idly distracted by the falling petals of the few that were still lingering from the bloom, until she caught her scent again. "Here. She's here." she managed to comprehend, following her scent until she spotted her walking towards her. "The one." she'd mouth again, her lips curling into a light smirk as she began visibly salivating. "Mine."

Roots from the trees around her slowly began creeping up from under their feet, reaching out for the girl waiting for the right opportunity to drape around her legs and catch her - if she wasn't careful enough.

She continued to remain distracted and lost in her thoughts. A faint breeze blew as a few stray cheery blossom petals swirled in the air and drifted past her. The movement in the corner of her eye seemed to snap her back from her deep thoughts as she blinked and looked around. She must have been going on autopilot for a short bit. Taking in the sights around her, the streets were empty this time of morning and there was an eerie calm about the place. A shiver went down her spine, perhaps from the chilly air?

Drawing her jacket around her closer she shifted her gym bag on her shoulder and looked at the nearby buildings to determine how close she was to the gym. Perhaps some cardio an d a simply toning workout today since she'd done a fully body circuit the previous day. Once more her thoughts were distracted by another chill down her spine.

Another frown came to her lips as she felt--like she was being watched somehow. Perhaps it was just nerves. It was a common feeling she had growing up in Zion, but it was good to keep her senses on alert anyways. If you weren't always on the look out in Zion you were likely to end up dead. Slowly she turned around but there was no one there. Yet something was triggering her sense of self preservation?

"Hello?" She called out, but her voice was only responded by the soft breeze. After a few moments a sigh escaped her lips, "I must be losing it. I came here to get away from all that--maybe I just haven't adjusted yet. Nothing is going to jump out of the shadows to get me here..." she muttered to herself and happened to look down at her feet. There were root sticking out from a nearby tree. Well, it was a good thing she looked or she may have tripped over them.

"Your mind is getting the better of you, Eli" she said with a light smile and shake of her head. She moved forward again unaware that she was possibly moments from being ensnared. Another tingling down her neck occurred. Her heart skipped a moment as she felt that primal instinct again. Once more she stopped and turned to look about her. Why did she feel so paranoid? Was it because of running into John yesterday?

"Could this be, love?"

The woman started dragging her body over to the other, the roots following closely as they seemed to still creep and reach for the other. She seemed to be getting an air of the situation, but it would seem like the woman missed to detect the little woman heading her way. Well, she barely made a sound, not to mention, she couldn't even speak to her to draw her attention to her.

The closer she was getting, the stronger her scent was getting, the more it made her brim with desire to sink her teeth into that supple- lively flesh. She even reached out, but she was still out of reach. Maybe it was impatience, maybe she just couldn't wait and there was a snap, the roots reached over and carefully draped around her ankles and stopped her from going any further, with the caster falling shortly behind.

The hold wasn't too strong to hurt her, but merely to keep her in place. If she would try to get away from them, maybe even break through, more roots, of different sizes began trying to keep her feet planted in place while the young lady picked up her pace to get to her. "This..one..mine.." she'd mouth, her lips slowly tugging into an eerie smirk, more and more noticeable as she got close, a bit of drool starting to trickle down the corner of her mouth. Her first possible, victim, if the other wasn't too careful.

It seemed that her instincts were still on point. There was a snapping sound and suddenly she felt her ankles being held in place. Gasping she looked down and saw that roots were lifting and wrapping around her ankles. "What's this..." She said finding that she was being firmly held in place. The more she moved the more roots wrapped around her. Soon she saw that a figure was approaching as well.

It was a female with silver hair and pale eyes. However there was something very off about her. This wouldn't do. The woman had a look of murder on her face, hunger, one that Elizota was well familiar with from the past. Reaching into her bag she pulled out what looked like a simple fan. Elizota felt adrenaline pumping through her veins, but was managing to keep a level enough head. Certainly she was scared. It was a fool who didn't accept fear when it was appropriate.

Quickly she open the fan with a quick flick of her wrist to reveal that the fan was bladed. It was one of her tessen fans that she called Cobra. She kept her eyes on the woman who was quickly approaching as she quickly brought her bladed fan across the growing root around her in an attempt to try and free herself. "s**t." She said attempting to quickly hacking away at the vines trying to keep her in place.

If she was successful, Elizota would try to run away, looking for a good place to duck into and hide. If she as unable to escape before the woman was upon her--she would have no choice but to defend herself.

"Could this be, love?"

The woman's mind was numb to anything besides the desire to sink her teeth into the woman's supple flesh. Although part of her senses were heightened in which she could smell the blood rushing along the woman's body, along with the adrenaline giving her the response she was likely trained to. With his lack of capacity to even, she couldn't appreciate any details she would have if she was herself at this point. If she was herself, she wouldn't be chasing down a random stranger in order to bite her.

A pleasant smell of fear made the woman pick up the pace. Maybe even for a mindless foe like this one, the thought of meat tendered by fear seemed as appetizing as it could get. The roots and vines starting to tighten around her with the sheer lack of control. She wanted her and even if she did break free, she was going to get to her. The woman's blades might have hacked down the roots clinging on to her, but more began to sprout, displaying the caster's evident desire to take the woman down what ever means possible.

By the time she could run to hide, Coralyn would try and lunge at her. Though if she missed her, with the lack of proper balance the ash haired woman would plant her face on the floor due to the lack of control or coordination. Barely minding the fall- as pain wasn't something she could feel anymore, she'd shake it off and crawl back on her feet, rushing toward the woman to grab her.

If she did manage to, she would attempt to sink her teeth into her flesh, regardless of her exposed skin, making her best attempt to cling on to her if she'd fight or resist with inaudible groans.

More and more vines were wrapping around her as Elizota worked fast. What the hell was going on with this woman? Was she possessed? This was almost as bad as being back in Zion and having to contend with a darken while she had no abilities of her own! "Damnit!" she cursed and tried to loosen herself. There wasn't going to be enough time to hack through the constantly growing vines. Instead she loosened them enough that she could brute forced her way through the vines. Stumbling forward in the process she managed to catch herself from falling and quickly swiped again to sever any vines reaching up to her.

Starting to run, she wasn't about to wait and see what this crazy woman had in store for her. Eli wasn't dumb and knew that it was probably to kill her. Just as she was starting to move, the woman lunged at her. There was a moment of panic as she felt the grip of the woman on her back. No, this wasn't going to be it for Eli! She was a fighter and would go down fighting back if need be.

Reacting quickly to her apparent capture, she twisted herself feeling the woman's nails dig slightly into her back as she pulled herself free by slipping herself out of her jacket just as she heard the snap of the woman's jaws where her arm had been just seconds ago. She had to drop her bags, but she'd do what was necessary. Items were replaceable, her life was not. She did manage to grab her personal bag, leaving her gym bag behind, as she continued to move. Her back stung and crimson streaks were bleeding through her white shirt where the nails had made their mark. The vines quickly approached, but she used her fan to slice once more at them if they got to close.

"What the actual F***," she cried out as the woman seemed to be trying to grasp toward her again realizing her prey escaped. Time to see if she was still conditioned to get out of dodge from her time in Zion. Hoping to outrun the vines and this psychotic woman she pushed into a sprint to try and get away. If she saw anyone nearby she might call to them, but only to warn them that they should run. She didn't know if she could outrun the vines, but she sure as hell was going to try. Elizota was strong and fit, but she wasn't dumb. This wasn't an opponent she wanted to face when they could control vines in such a manner. Not unless she had backup.

"Could this be, love?"

Mindlessly even, the woman kept her in her hold for until she could, trying to snap her jaws shut into her flesh but with a failed attempt to do so, she realized she had escaped from her grasp. This not only angered the little woman, but the blood left behind on her hands sent her barely present senses to a new height.

The smell of it was intoxicating and would drive anyone, who ached for a bite, into overdrive. The fear that ran through her veins, adrenaline and heavens only knew what else, just drew the undead girl even further.

A black bit of slime escaped past her lips, akin to the beast that got her the previous night, the thing that made her the way she is. Lifeless, yet with a drive to kill, to feed and to bring more people to her.

A smirk played upon her lips as she reached up to wipe off the drool on her sleeve, staining the arm as her vines now reached out and grabbed her escaping prey. She took a few steps closer to her, her pace starting to quicken the closer she got while her vines took the opportunity to grab her wrists and her feet. For a mindless being, she did manage to learn to adapt, it would seem.

Finally, she managed to reach up to her trapped prey. If she did manage to free her wrists, she would lunge at her, yet again, though if she didn't she'd trace her fingers back along the crimson streaks of her back before she would thrust her face forward to take a bite.

Elizota hadn't gotten very far away before the vines were starting to creep up again with a vengeance. She hacked away but there were just too many of them. "s**t!" she said frantic now. This wasn't good. "Help!!" She tried to call out finally, desperate now and out of options. She hated to sound so pathetic but what else could she do? Surely there had to be someone else around besides this possessed woman! "Fire!!" she tried instead but again nothing. Damnit...

She continued to struggle and try to break free, and for a moment she made some headway, but the effort to simply keep herself afloat was too much. One of the vines pulled her hand away that held tightly still to her fan and more wrapped around her arms and legs entangling her and squeezing her firmly to prevent escape.

Trapped now, she was forced to watch her own fate unfold. It was almost pitiful. After all her years on the streets and facing death every day with darken running amuck she was going to be put down by a plant controlling possessed girl. No...not possessed. This was more like a zombie. Still not one to simply give up she tried to push against the vines and did snap her wrists free for a brief moment, but her strength was waning.

Her fate was sealed, it seemed, and the hungry predator approached the weakened prey. Her glasses fell askew on her face slightly as she hung her head a moment. Fight was fading from her. Escape a life to start over only for it to be snuffed out as soon as you get there. Something just seemed funny to Elizota as she stopped struggling and her body suddenly convulsed into fits of laughter.

So this would be the fate of Eilzota Winchester...survive the streets of hell only to be devoured by a crazed cannibal. In her last moments, she managed to get her hands free again as she gave one final swing to punch her assailant as the woman lunged at Elizota. She was slightly knocked back, held in place only by the vines, as her glasses flew from her face and she felt the searing pain of teeth in her flesh.

Her eyes closed into darkness as she quietly accepted her fate....

Each beat giving her motivation to run further down the streets of Uptown Soleil. She quickened her pace, feeling every muscle in her body exert more and more energy to propel her forwards. Zara enjoyed switching up her work out locations, whether it be running down the streets, in a park, in the local gym or at home where she converted one of her bedrooms into a home gym.

It was nice to be outside, might as well kill two birds with one stone by getting exercise and exploring this new city more. When she had moved here, she only knew one person here, a fellow classmate from her Academy days. Thankfully, she met a new acquaintance yesterday, Zayid. He had recommended a few places for her to check out within Soleil and figured she’d cross those off her bucket list this week while managing her small company, Acorazar. An organization of hired body guards assigned to protect all kinds of citizens from the innocent to the underground.

Exercising was a great way to keep her mind off all the paperwork she had to sift through later- - - ”Hmm?” Zara slowed her pace as she noticed a gym bag laying on the ground up ahead. Strange, she didn’t see anyone around. The closer Zara got to the bag, the more curious she got. She drew deep breaths to relax her heart, stabilizing her breathing now that she wasn’t running. Zara crouched down, pulling her headphones off and wrapped it around the back of her neck.

”…Blood?” Zara squinted, touching droplets that trailed away from the bag. Her eyebrows furrowed in deep thought. This didn’t seem like a Halloween prank. An unsettling, ominous wave of worry worked itself up her spine.

What the actual F*** !, a female voice cried out. It was faint but sounded significantly distressed.

Someone was in trouble but - - she didn’t have any weapon on her. Not even her art supplies, not even a pen or pencil, nothing she could use to draw out a weapon with her magic. She’d be going into this mess empty handed... She reached into her pink backpack to pull out her cell phone, she dialed a number, an old friend who moved into this city before her. ”Come on VJ answer your phone- -f*ck to voicemail, fine then. Listen, something weird is going on- -”

                                                                                    ”s**t! - - Help!! - - Fire!!”

”D*mnit.” Zara took off in a sprint, following the trail of blood and source of the frantic screaming that followed. She tucked her phone into her jacket pocket, forgetting to end the voicemail to Vitessa. She'd end up receiving a long voicemail...

By the time Zara arrived at the source, she was shocked at what her eyes were staring at. A pale woman with bruises around her body with what looked like black slime rolling down her chin from her mouth, her teeth sunk into the flesh of another woman. The other woman was entangled in vines, her eyes closed. Without hesitation, Zara flung her headphones like a twirling boomerang in the direction of the cannibal lady’s head. A distraction was needed as she then bolted to the left towards a trash can.

One of the vines reached out for her but she dodged by throwing herself forward then rolled to the side. Her cell phone fell out in the process, still recording the voicemail.

With no time to go after her cell phone, she made a run for the trash can. She popped the lid open to see if there was anything useful inside, a pencil, pen, charcoal, broken glass bottle, anything really- -she didn’t have time to dig through so she’d have to spill it all out. One had to get creative in times like these. WELP WORTH A SHOT, Zara lifted the trash can and tossed it at the vines that seemed to litter the area.

”What are you- -a vampire?! Cannibal?! Leave her alone! If you’re that hungry, I could take you out to a restaurant, uhh - someone gave me recommendations!” She raised her voice, trying to buy time long enough for A. someone to hear the chaos going on or B. enough time for her to find something to fight with...There it was, she spotted a red marker tumble out with the rest of the scattered trash. It was a good distance away. Zara peered back up at the girl wrapped in vines, blood dripping down her body. There was something in her other hand...a bladed fan? Blades were not enough to cut through these vines or- -these vines must be overpowering in strength and number...

                                                                                    M i e r d a, " she cursed under her breath.

Finally, the woman had caught her target, vines wrapped around her arms, tight enough to probably bruise her pale skin, but that was secondary, her main task was achieved the moment she could sink her teeth into her skin and pass on the infection as it was, to a new host with the two now seeded with the same darkness that began with just one.

The vines would slowly ease off of the woman, revealing now the extent at how hard they had to hold the woman down. Quite the fighter she was, quite a lot of life left in her, but all in vain it would seem. The ashy haired one's jaw slowly eased off, blood coating her teeth, mixed with the darkness as she pulled away. Mindless as ever, looking intently at the other. Maybe she figured her job here was done, maybe she found her distasteful after poisoning her, or maybe it was the large metal hitting the back of her head which made her turn around and look at the source. She might have not spotted her right away, but the smell drove her to a new high, much like it did with her target that was now by her feet.

A groan escaped her lips, fluttering as though she was mumbling something. The lack of vocal chords played at a disadvantage for anyone listening, but surely enough, it was certain she wasn't trying to plead her case or explain to her what happened to her. She couldn't remember even if she tried, which would probably be the case with her new friend sitting by her feet. The poor woman had no chance, chosen as she was, as another tribute to the being that did the same to the one who stood. If one looked closely, she could have been saying, "New feed.." or "He will like you." maybe even, "I'll kill you." but she wasted no time, while the being kept still, she tried to use her surroundings as an advantage and draw up more vines, even low hanging branches to try and reach for her, which she seemed to have dodged.

”What are you- -a vampire?! Cannibal?! Leave her alone! If you’re that hungry, I could take you out to a restaurant, uhh - someone gave me recommendations!”

Hungry? Hungry was an understatement, if she was hungry, the flesh on the raven haired woman wouldn't last, they would have been ripped form the bone, but that wasn't it. Her purpose was more than just feasting on flesh - it was to deliver what drove them, what made them part of the living. Without much to say from her end, the vines shot back up, darting now like arrows towards the new target, trying to get a hold of her while the woman made her way to her, in a quickened pace this time. Whether or not the other would join her at her quest now, was secondary, Coralyn wanted this talkative one.

The eyes were never far behind Coralyn’s now soulless body.

The same neon green wisps followed after, leaping, slithering from gutter to gutter, swiveling behind trees, as they cautiously monitored the nymph as she (attempted to) wandered the streets looking for the next prey in case something were to go wrong. If it did, the beast that trailed close behind would need to feed on another more quickly than it intended to; not that it wouldn’t already. But it drew less attention for the average citizen of the city to stagger the streets than a massive, hellish wolf that planned to devour every soul that stepped close by in the near future. And if everything went according to plan…

They stopped. The woman had chosen her prey - one that they had perhaps sent some mental persuasion for; a dark brunette woman with moonlight skin and amethyst colored eyes. Similar to another that roamed the city - one that the master had an eye on for such a fierce personality. But fierceness caused trouble. And this one wouldn’t echo that same fight.

That same smell of fear that drove Coralyn into a frenzied hunger was the same that drew the monster from the previous night closer. Whispers filled the surrounding area - both frantic, angry, worried, and hungry for the new prey’s soul to join them into the abyss. A low, rumbled growl echoed nearby. Just as they had suspected, the woman provided little effort of a fight and didn’t seem to be much of a match for the elemental nymph that was the first to be captured. A slow smell of the air would give way to knowing the woman she held in her grasp was human. They were usually the most innocent to roam the Earthly realm.

The oncoming newcomer wouldn’t pose a threat.
But if it needed to devour the witnesses too, then it would do so.

The verdant tendrils swirled and curved in a circular motion in the middle of the street nearby; unaffected by the cold October day. A haunting was taking residence in Soleil. Threatening the shadows that lingered between empty spaces.

An oily sheen emitted from the concrete near the sidewalks of Uptown Soleil; close to the encountering trio. Anything the stranger would attempt would fail at any cost. It bubbled and boile, thick like tar, and expanded until those same cavernous orange orbs appeared from deep within the pool. With the sunlight striking, smoke emerged from every struggling ray - a rotted, burning stench accompanying the slowly forming wolf-like beast within. The intention had been to stay in the darkness. But a limited amount of time here would hardly have an effect on the horror. Its strength was one of the reasons it was chosen for this task. Its head lifted away from the massive black blob, tar dripping away in excess along the street as it finalized its form. Faint orange fire glowed beneath its underbelly from within.

Riled and ready the beast stood some eight feet hunched over - its eyes focused in on Elizota’s submissive stance. The blood was easy to pick up on and only fed into the demon’s inner desire. Its bared fangs all but glowed eerily beneath the cloudy day. Sauntering closer to the victim, mimicking disgusting black slime began to ooze from the vines nearby that weren’t already, gushing like viscous water onto the cement.

Without much of a hesitation the footsteps picked up into jogs, which transferred into a sprint straight into the victim’s path. The vines would keep her in place for as long as she needed and the bite alone would leave her paralyzed and unaware of the approaching menace out for her soul. Barreling into her direction it leaped high into the air and opened its mouth wide for the attack. The same wide, cavernous mouth would extend until it could fully wrap around the figure’s head and shoulders, diving down face first from above. And on its way down--

                                                      It swallowed Elizota whole.

And just like that the beast was gone, phased into the street and leaving behind nothing but the black tar that followed in its footsteps. The green wisps surrounded and circled around Coralyn’s feet and legs, circling her figure until they surrounded and consumed every inch back into the underworld.

                                                      Somewhere.
                                                      In the depths of Soleil.
                                                      Both bodies would be deposited.
Soulless, battered, and left unconscious. . .

There was something behind the cannibal-lady, glowing eyes? No..she had to be imagining that. Zara turned her focus to the restrained petite one. Green eyes locked onto Amethyst hues. The younger looking girl tangled in the vines stared back Zara. Blood drained down the victim’s clothes from where the cannibal-lady chomped into. Zara’s fists clenched, feeling helpless in this moment. The vines seemed to release their grip over the stranger, visible bruising on her flesh could be spotted from afar. Why was this happening? What kind of supernatural- -f*ck, there simply wasn’t enough time to question reality. Zara’s instincts kicked in as more vines rushed at her, quicker this time. They darted like arrows and Zara was the target.

She jumped forward to where she had thrown the trash can, reaching out for the marker on the ground, ”Got i- - aaAHHHH!” Zara shrieked in pain. One of the vines was covered in thorns, its pointed ends lacerated across her abdomen. It had ripped right through her jacket, Zara used one hand to apply pressure to the open wound. The other hand held a firm grip around the marker. Her magic worked best if she drew on a flat surface like paper but there wasn’t any time to go paper hunting.

”You’re really out here for blood huh,” Zara grumbled at ashy-haired lady who had blood and a darkness that oozed down her jaw. Zara sloppily jumped and ran in an effort to dodge the vines only to be whipped across different parts of her body, her blood splattering around the cement. She was losing stamina second by second, wound by wound. By the time Zara found cover behind the fallen trash can, she took a moment to draw a lit torch into the cement. A silvery glow emitted around the piece of art, Zara reached her hand into the artwork itself, pulling out a lit torch with a wooden handle. She could feel the warmth of the magically drawn flames, the smoothness of the magically drawn wooden handle.

She used the flames in defense of the vines, curious to see if this idea would even work. As she fought off the devious vines, she noticed something in her peripherals, causing her to shoot a glance. The concrete on the sidewalks were covered in an unnatural, oily sheen. It then bubbled and boiled like tar?! There was something manifesting within the substance, something ominous and beat-like. Zara wanted to get a better look but the lethal vines needed more attention. Next thing Zara knew, there was a stench that wafted in the air, putrid, rotten and burnt. Her stomach gurgled, an urge to vomit from the thick smell tested her willpower.

”What the f….” Zara struggled to formulate words as she was caught off guard by the beast that emerged from the substance below. The vines took advantage of her shock and fear, knocking the torch out of her hands and snaked around her body. More and more vines followed, immobilizing Zara in place. The creature stalked over to the petite, amethyst-eyed woman.

”N-no leav—e h-er a-alone,” it was hard to breath, she could barely even speak, the vines were cutting off her circulation. Zara blinked in an effort to stay awake and focus. She noticed black slime oozed from vines around her, cascading onto the ground. Footsteps from the beast thudded closer to the victim, faster and faster until - - -Zara wanted to scream, tears welled in her eyes as she watched the woman get devoured whole.

The monster phased into the ground itself, black tar still covering the ground from where it had walked and sprinted, a trail. The cannibal-lady had gotten quite close to Zara but green wisps suddenly surrounded the other woman. Within seconds the ashy-haired woman was consumed by the green wisps, no where to be found. H-huh?! Zara collapsed on her knees, battered and bloodied. The vines that had woven around Zara instantly dropped in tandem with the cannibal-lady disappearing amongst the green wisps.

                                                                                    She glared at the black tar and rotting vines, ”M i e r d a !"

The eerily quiet streets had their silence broken by the broken squeaky wheel of the luggage trolley the little woman dragged behind her. Her crimson hues were fixed on the little screen in her hand while she grumbled idly to herself. This was the third time someone refused to give her a ride and she wasn't happy. For starters, she flew in last night and the first thing she knew it, she had to check in to the hospital, deal with a staff who refused to cooperate and an ugly outfit she ripped off. Escaping was the only obvious thing she had to do.

It wasn't too hard to escape, all she had to do was wait until she was left alone and sneak out of the window, change her clothes into the all black attire with the blue denim jacket breaking the pattern and boom she was unrecognizable. Not to mention the mask and hat. She had managed to snag an exit slip which saved her from the guards, but the rest of it was simply a tiring long walk. Maybe not that tiring, but a youngling like her still had the liberty to exaggerate - right?

The woman walked a decent distance before she no longer recognized the path she watched through the tinted window on her way to the hospital, but the woman wasn't too pleased to not get a ride to a fairly distant location that would ensure her not being caught anytime soon. She groaned as she slipped her phone into the bag against her chest, slowing down at the familiar scent of iron in the air. Surely, it wasn't plain iron, it was blood and by the minor variations, it wasn't of just one individual. "Well well, it doesn't seem like this place is as boring as I thought it was." she smirked, following the scent until she began to follow the trail of odd other scents. Something inhuman was around.

"Hello!" someone called out, far ahead in the plane of her sight, waving their hand, by the sounds of it, an older woman. "Yes you! Please, call an ambulance!" She'd call out.

Akane looked around, pointing to herself before she started to head toward her, keeping her pace steady which did irk the other. The closer she got, the stronger the smells got and something caught her eye. She wasn't alone, there was another woman, wounded by the looks of it and partly the source of the smell that was lingering in the air. "Looks like a mess." she'd say, pulling her mask off to catch a better whiff, looking around to see the roots and vines lying around, the spots of blood and some black slime.

"By the time I came here, I found her wounded." the woman would say, she had reached before Akane though despite her obvious concern she refused to touch the pink haired woman there herself, though did give her a bottle of water. "Call an ambulance!"

"Why cant you?" Akane stated bluntly, shifting her hues back to the other on the ground. Judging by the bruises on her limbs, it seems like the vines held her, but what about this slime? She only briefly looked back at the other woman when she claimed her phone was dead to respond, "So is mine, scram, get some help." she'd order her, causing her to click her tongue and leave- leaving the two alone, returning the crimson hues back over those pretty emerald ones. "Are you going to die?" she asked, tapping her knee with the tip of her shoe, "If you are, I can't imagine dragging your body around. Especially not to the hospital. Nothing personal." she'd shrug, crouching down to get a better look at her.

Zara couldn’t quite process what happened to her, what in the hell was that creature? How did it swallow the girl whole then disappear into the ground and why did that other woman sink her teeth into the victim’s flesh? What was with all the tar, ooze, darkness and green wisps? Zara slowly unzipped her jacket and peeled the fabric off of her to reveal her previously hidden flesh. It was still cold outside but all the adrenaline gave her body a numbing affect.

She had to inspect her wounds before she made any other decision. ”Ungh..” She flinched from all the movement, the thorns from the vines had cut pretty deep but it didn’t look or feel fatal. Using the marker again, she drew rolls of cloth into the cement. A silvery glow emitted around the piece of art, Zara reached her hand into the artwork itself, pulling out rolls of bandages and flung them over her shoulders for now.

Next she attempted to draw a bottle of alcohol to sterilize her wounds but just as she pressed the marker against the ground she realized it had run out of ink. ”Fantastic - -” She grumbled to herself. Zara would have to work with what she had for now. Carefully she wrapped the bandages around her wounds then topped it off with putting the bloodied jacket back on.

The sound of footsteps approaching the alley caught her attention, Zara shifted her gaze over to a stranger approaching with a frantic look across her face. ”I-I heard screaming and loud noises…Oh no dear, what happened to you?” The kind woman look around the area, eyes wide, equally baffled by the odd scene surrounding them. ”There was a younger woman who was being attacked…I couldn’t save her…” She had to be cautious with what she said, not wanting to sound like a delusional source.

More footsteps approached followed by the rumbling of a luggage trolley. ”Hello!” The older woman waved her hand in the air, directing her focus on the stranger wearing a mask and hat. ”Yes you! Please, call an ambulance!”

”Looks like a mess."  The stranger stated, handing Zara a water bottle.

”T-thankyou…” She smiled gratefully and took the water bottle. She was careful to pour the water into her mouth without her lips touching the bottle. The water rehydrated her parched lips and revitalized her sore muscles. She then made just to wash away remnants of slime that had touched her skin from the battle.

”By the time I came here, I found her wounded. Call an ambulance!

Zara struggled to catch her breath as the older woman ran off to look for help. The other stranger stayed, she had taken off her mask and looked even younger than the victim had. Suddenly her knees were being tapped by the strangers’ shoe.

”Die?” Zara coughed in surprise from the younger woman’s blunt expression.

”I intend to live so don’t worry about dragging my body.” Zara chuckled as she managed to wobble onto her feet and inspect the crime scene. She searched for her cell phone, recalling that it had dropped while she had attempted to escape those vines.

”You shouldn’t linger here too long kid…This place isn’t safe… I don’t even know what had attacked me…some damn slime monster - -” Zara shuddered at the thought of that horrific beast.

*Beeeeeeepppp*~ There it is! The sound alerted her, indicating that the voicemail was completed and sent to Vitessa. Zara reached down and picked up her phone, luckily the case was strong and there didn’t seem to be much damage. Zara bit her bottom lip in contemplation. She wasn’t going to just let an innocent person get taken or killed like that. Zara avoided the slime on the ground, using her phone, she took a video of the scene as well as several photos.

”Oh - -you don’t happen to have a pen and paper in that luggage do you?”

Who am I? Your Queen | I'm feeling Intrigued | I'm speaking to A random lady | Where am I? Streets of Uptown | What am I wearing? Trendy escape wear

Now that the women were alone, Akane could get a better look at her. Now one could have one look at her and see she wasn't necessarily - normal, but this lady on the other hand, she looked very human but wasn't one indeed. She might have missed the little trick she did with the marker and the concrete floor, but she could sense something from her which was much different to the thing that attacked her. Well, seems like her trip here wasn't going to be as boring as she anticipated.

A smirk tugged on those cherry stained lips, stepping back as she watched the other drag herself back to her feet. As much as she should have told her against it, the woman stepped aside and let her do her thing, pulling her mask completely off this time and slipped it into her pocket. "Well, I'm glad, I wasn't planning on taking you back to the hospital either. And I'm sure the old lady wasn't either. It's a crime scene after all." she'd add with a slight smirk and stepped aside once she was certain the other could move. "By the way she scurried out of here, it seemed like she just wanted out." she'd state.

The way the other moved seemed like she was really badly injured, maybe flung from the vines? If they did cause the exposed wound she was sporting now, then it wouldn't be wise for her to let it stay that way, even if she wasn't entirely human. Then again, it wasn't like Akane to show concern, or even if she did, it would be in her own odd fashion. "But you should get that checked, lest it get infected. Pus can be real disgusting." she'd shudder before she'd poke at the vines with her shoe this time, seeing if they'd come back to life anytime soon.

”You shouldn’t linger here too long kid…This place isn’t safe… I don’t even know what had attacked me…some damn slime monster - -”

The woman retracted her foot just about when the other called her a kid. Oof! she wasn't sure how many she had heard something similar. There were times where she could keep her cool but sure enough, there were times where she couldn't. Much like this one. "Well lady, If you didn't notice, I'm not actually human, so...I'm good." she'd state with a confident air to her tone. "What ever that thing was, I could handle it." she'd add with a smirk.

While the other avoided the slime and took pictures and videos of the place, Akane didn't bother stepping out of the scene - at least for a few, and reached down to touch the slime with her bare hands. If it didn't burn the ground, it wasn't toxic but she did have a moment of instant regret when she couldn't get it off and began waving it around, probably even flinging some over to the poor lady there. "Ew, shouldn't have done that." she told herself before looking over at the other, "What are you planning on doing about this? Are you a cop? or a detective? Or that super nosy hero kind who gets 'killed for the greater good'?" she'd ask, "You do seem like the kind to do any of them though....-The heck is this thing?" she'd mutter to herself, using her free hand to unzip the little bag she was carrying to draw some wipes and clean it up.

"Haven't you heard of an application called 'notes'? It works on all phones, which doesn't even need a stylus." she'd state, "But you're lucky, I do." she'd add and walk over to pull out a notepad which looked like it belonged in one of those office conference rooms and a matching pen. "What do you need these for?" she'd ask, standing by her now as she tried to peek at what she was doing, akin to an impatient nosy child.

"Why did that thing attack you though?" she'd ask, looking back at the hand that touched the slime before she took a sniff to check if she managed to clean it or if it still had a lingering smell to it, scrunching her nose before she reverted her attention to the other. "If you do plan on going against that thing, can I watch?" she'd ask, "I won't get in the way." she'd add with a playful flutter to her lashes.
