Go count it up the smiles, the days, always have faith for a brighter tomorrow. It was just yesterday when they had a small picnic at the park. With his woman on his side, and Desi sitting in the back seat, they were on the way to the Shark. The French vanilla Tesla reflected the elegance of the sun's light beaming bright. In front of the trio beholden a gorgeous view of the ocean shores as the electric car continue its way down on the black pavement. The vibe was just right, Bluetooth connected, Nico's smile on sight, speaker all loud as it played the song Right There. From his rearview mirror, Ronin saw Desi rocking his head to the beat. Contagious enough, Ronin began rocking his own too. It was cute and funny at the same time. Every now and then, the young man would steal a couple glimpse over to his girl. He loves her curves, but not those curves below, he loved those pink lips that played a smile that could be sunshine to a winter's day. "We are almost there guys," He announced out loud with a soft tone as he then laid a hand over Nico's thigh while the other hand was steering the wheel. "Ever had Bluefin tuna before? You two are gonna love it." A thought hit him and paused as Ronin looked at the rear mirror for a quick second, "Well, maybe not you Desi. Don't think you like raw fish, huh?"

They say nothing last forever, for example like how every song has an end, or how the sun is drifting away as time goes by. It was true in some ways, but eventually the ride there did came to the end as the group got near to the designated spot. The world had yet to see the pairing of these two individuals though. Deep in his head, the boxer knew there is something more waiting at the end of the tunnel. Once the Tesla was parked in front, Ronin guided Nico and Desi inside the restaurant. He held the door open for them to head in first like any gentlemen would do. The waiter waved and quickly escorted the party to a table of three. However, during their way there, a man rushing by accident bumps into Desi which caused the little boy to crash against the table. Within that moment, Ronin straight up faced the man with his ego getting the best of him, "Can you watch where you going next time? You need a map? Geez..." Emerald eyes stuck onto the man's orbs like bubblegum, staring him down as he walked away like a prey. There was no point causing a scene anyways over something minor like that. "You okay, bud? You held it up good like a man, heh." He turned his gaze towards Desi with a kinder look while gently patting his shoulder.

Ronin's stomach growled right as the group got together at the table and although it may have gotten some attention, the man ignored it. He was too hungry to not give a damn about that type of s**t. The waiter came back with napkins, plates and chopsticks, quickly setting up the table for them before handing them the menu,"Hello, welcome to Shark Head! I'm Rian and I will be your waiter today. Is there anything you guys wanna start with? Appetizers?" Ronin shook his head, "No, let's get right into it. I want to order eight Bluefin tuna sashimi, three shrimp boat nigiri, one California roll, and a Dragon spider roll, please." The waiter wrote down the info on his pad before he asked, "What about drinks? Feeling thirsty?" When the waiter said drinks, all Ronin could think was alcohol. Sake sounds pretty nice right now. Ronin looked over to his boo and then back to the waiter with a raised brow, " Get me a cheap bottle of Sake, please." He paused a bit, turning his attention to Desi,
"What do you wanna drink, kiddo?"







"Whatever splits it up so there's more for them and there's less for me. They don't know they gotta be faster than me to get to me, no one's done it successfully."

With yesterday's picnic being such a success, it was time for round 2! Ding Ding! As the music blasted and played, Nico periodically looked back to her baby boy, seeing him enjoy the beat. Seeing both her boys bobbing their head to the beat actually made her smile even brighter. Man, she wouldn't have a clue what she would do without them. They were the two light of her life that she would never, ever, replace. Feeling a warm hand resting on her thigh, Nico's hand instinctively went over to intertwine their fingers together. It was a calming habit that she did all the time now. Just simply holding hands gave her all the comfort in the world. As they got closer and closer to the restaurant, Nico's stomach let out an eager growl. "Ugh, I can't wait! I haven't had good sushi in so long!" Just thinking about the food was making her mouth water. Desi, on the other hand, scrunched up his nose. "Is it ALL just raw fish...?" The child wasn't too keen on trying it, but he did promise his mom that he would at least try ONE piece. "Don't worry your head, babyface. They got other options, too."

As the trio exited the Tesla and entered the restaurant, Nico could barely contain her hunger. They were just following the waiter to the table when some rando rushed past and pushed her baby! "Desi! You okay?" The worried mother helped her son back onto his feet. After a brief look over him, Nico instantly went into mother bear mode. Even though Ronin took care of putting some fear into the dude, Nico wasn't finished. She threw her purse over on the table and was taking off her coat to actually try and run after the dude, however, Desi quickly latched onto her leg like an anchor. He knew how fiery she was as a person and had to stop her before she ripped the dude in half. "I'm fine guys~ Let's just eat, okay?" He eyed his mother and pulled her along, the entire time she was staring daggers until the man left. "Mother ******** got lucky..." "No swears, mom."

After letting out an angry huff, Nico skimmed over the menu. Eating would definitely calm her down. As Ronin ordered his, it was time to place her own order. "I'll also get some Bluefin tuna sashimi, with some octopus nigiri, a Bakery roll, a scallop temaki and an order of tamago nigiri for the kid. I'll take a Sapporo beer for a drink." She figured that if Desi wanted to try raw fish, she could let him nibble off of hers. For his drink, though, Desi already knew what he wanted. "Can I get a ramune?" He told the waiter as they gave the kid a warm smile and a nod before they wrapped up and left. Nico smirked and poked at the kid's cheeks. "You collecting ramune marbles again?" She already had him figured out. He could deny it all he wanted, but he knew she was right. "L-Listen, there's no such thing as too many marbles. Besides I told this kid at school that I'd show her how to get em out!"

Curiosity killed the cat, but not in this case after hearing Desi's comment about a girl back at school. Ronin's ear twitched and itched to find out who was this person and what this person meant to the little kiddo. "Ooo. Didn't know Desi has a lady friend, eh? Is she a sweet girl?" He asked with an orotund tone while resting his elbows on the table as he leaned in closer toward the kid. The assumption of them dating was out of the table due to their current age and mentality, however, it's always fun to joke about it. "Aren't you scared of cooties, Desi?" He wiggled a finger before he continued on, "Sushi and cooties are kinda of the same thing, except your mama loves it raw," adding much emphasis on the word "raw". Although the obscene joke came out slightly bad, it still played a wide smirk on the boxer's lips. Plus, it was beyond the boy's understanding. "Right, babe?" Emerald green eyes fixated on her sapphire blues looking for confirmation.

Aside from the humor and all, it was only in matter of time when the waiter eventually came back with all their food they ordered. The waiter placed the plates of sushi in a way where the different colors of meat complemented each other, making the food look way more appealing to the human eye. It was definitely Snapchat worthy except now was a time to spend some quality time with some quality people. Moments like this will live forever through memory, and so the boxer took a quick second to give thanks for everything he has today. "Eat up good, guys. If you two are still hungry, I order more. Don't worry about the bill." He mentioned while clasping his hands together as he looked at them with much delight in his eyes. Starting with the kid first, Desi, Ronin grabbed a piece of the California roll with his chopsticks and set it down on the boy's plate. It wasn't raw so the kid should be alright. After that, the man would do the same for his woman who was sitting beside her kid. He made sure to give her the good stuff. He placed a nice piece of the Bluefin sashimi on her own plate to try before he offered a piece of mind, "Don't soak it in soy sauce. Just lightly dip it so you won't ruin the balance of flavors, babe." Oh wait, Ronin almost forgot that Nico and Desi were Japanese! They probably knew the etiquettes when eating sushi, but who knows! Once everyone got their share, Ronin began munching his own. He tried the Bluefin sashimi first before anything else, chewing it slowly to get a good feel of it. The texture was firm, not mushy. It was fatty and the vinegar flavor on the rice was just about perfect. The boxer gave the high end fish a nine out of ten for sure. Although it seemed like Ronin was quiet and focused on the food, the man was actually smiling deep inside.

"You want a shot of sake, Nico?" He poured her some in a small cup anyways as he scooted it to her direction, "It's calling your name, heh." Ronin then raised his own cup to the sky as he then shoot it straight down through his throat with ease. There was a weird aftertaste, but his face remained straight like an arrow. Grabbing the bottle of sake, the boxer gave a good look of its content before raising a brow when he realized it only had about sixteen percent of alcohol. Wow, its less than soju! Well, Ronin wasn't tryna get ******** up anyways.

Getting questioned about his friend from school, Desi gave a bit of a shrug. "I'm mean, she's cool, I guess. She likes digging stuff up, too, so we'll trade stuff sometimes." The boy was a bit suspicious of all the looks Ronin and Nico were giving him though. His icy eyes looked back and forth between the two until the boxer mentioned cooties. Immediately, the child's face scrunched up in disgust. "COOTIES ARE GROSS!" Desi exclaimed. He was definitely too young at the moment to find girls cute in a romantic kind of way. However, Nico would be sure to quote him on cooties as he got older for sure. She was just about to tease her kid until she heard Ronin mentioning her liking it raw. Her face instantly went to deep red. WHY WOULD HE SAY THAT OUT LOUUUUD!!!? Even though Nico's face was tomato red, she kept her composure and just kicked him in the shin as punishment. Of course, seeing her this way, Desi just HAD to ask. "You like what raw, mommy?" Oh lord, just kill her now. Almost as if it was her saving grace, the waiter came back with all of their food and drinks. "T-The fish, babyface! Somethin' about raw fish just gets me goin', I guess... hahaha...." Lucky for her, Desi took the bait and just cautiously eyed the sushi with the raw fish. "I guess if that floats your boat..."

Doing the same as Ronin, Nico also started passing out some of her sushi. She gave Desi a good amount of the tamago nigiri since it was just cooked egg on rice. It was something simple that he would like, but she did want him to branch out a bit. "Here, try this too, Desi. It just salmon and cream cheese sushi, deep fried with eel sauce and spicy mayo. It's really good, promise~" The mother only placed one on her son's plate just for him to try and placed a few on Ronin's face as well. Afterwards, she went ahead and enjoyed herself a piece, eating the whole thing in one bite before moving on towards the Bluefin sashimi that she was given. "Mmm~ this is so bomb! I haven't had good sushi in so long." Nico definitely ate happily like a hungry little pig, eating good food, and drinking good beer and a shot a sake.

In the midst of eating, a sudden familiar face decided to show up at their table. "Nico? Is that you?" The male stood tall at 6' 4", long jet black hair tied back into a pony tail as he was wearing a chef's uniform. The sleeves were rolled up showing off the plethora of tattoos that he got done over the years. Looking up, it took Nico a few minutes to even register who it was until it all clicked! "Holy s**t, Yuu-Yuu you blew up!" Yuu-Yuu, or Yusuke, was Nico's cousin on her mother's side. He was actually her mother's twin sister's kid. It had actually been a whole decade since she saw him last. Naturally, Desi was thoroughly confused, his large eyes looking at her curiously to explain who this man was. "Desi, baby, this is mommy's cousin. You can call him 'Uncle', though~" The word "uncle" already had Desi's eyes glowing bright with excitement. This was honestly the first time he met other famiy members in his life. "I GOT AN UNCLE?"

Nico and Yusuke snickered from the kid's reaction. "Sup, kiddo. It's nice to meet ya." He greeted as he ruffled the kid's hair. He was honestly surprised his cousin even had a kid considering... well... Oh well, he guessed it didn't matter anymore. His attention soon turned to Ronin, eyeing him a bit before holding out a hand to shake the boxer's hand. "It's also nice to meet ya, too. Name's Yusuke. I'm assuming you're Mr. Husband, right?" He only made assumptions since they were all together. They looked like the typical family to him.
