General Information: Break believes that both agility and endurance is the best asset for a to trick or treater to have, so with the interest of looking for potential among the students he invites you all to try his course.

The Course: Thunder Road
A rocky, uneven road built to test the students and see how they handle themselves across rough terrain. Your student must run through the entire course, up hill, and keep running without stopping. If they slow their pace or come to a complete stop, they'll be struck by lightning and it will be the end of the line for them!

Course can be ran solo or in groups.

Win - You've survived five rounds of dice rolls and crossed the finish line!
Lose - If your HP has reached zero, there is a narrow path on each side of the course. Hop off onto it and exit the room. If insta-killed, you dissipate and wake-up in Nurse Cricket's Office.

Mechanics: Roll a one 8-sided die to determine the results your student will get and make sure to adjust your HP accordingly
Each time you survive a round, repeat the above until you complete the course.

Bonus Mechanics:
If you get a lousy roll, a Y2 or Y3 student may roll a one 6-sided die ( ONE TIME ONLY ) and attempt to evade the hit.

Y2 students must roll a 5 or 6 to evade the lightning.
Y3 students must roll an even number to evade the lightning.

YOU LOSE/FINISH THIS CLASS WHEN...

- You hit 0 HP!That means you have to START OVER to try again! You may do so in the same thread or a new one if you decide to attempt again at a later date.

Wally squinted at the course. He's seen other students come and try to climb it, but never got much of a chance to ask them what they were doing.

There were only so many times he could watch multiple people attempt something before he got curious and tried it himself.

He was hesitant, though. Looking at it, now, the course was scary looking. Clouds overhead rumbled ominously and he was beginning to wonder why he never saw any of the students that left the course. He gulped.

He needed to be heroic. He was already here. He should just do it.

Round 1

He started at a light jog. The path was treacherous and Wally had to concentrate not to trip. The clouds overhead continued to rumble threateningly, but he hadn't seen any lightning yet, which was probably good. He was kind of a big target on this course.

Still, it wasn't so bad, yet. Why had he been nervous? He might actually make it through this without any issues!

Round 2

To be honest, Wally wasn't very good at running. He was round, for one, and that made it hard to move his legs right. But mostly he was used to being in the water. Swimming was much easier for someone of his size.

The point was, he didn't really like moving on land. Maybe he should have considered that before he started the course.

The sky lit up in agreement.

Round 3

All this running left time to think. He thought about his moms, and maybe going home for a bit to see them. He thought about the cool waters back at home, and all the free space to swim in them. There wasn't any space like that here at the school.

He really wanted to turn back to normal and just swim for hours. Maybe with his moms. Maybe with some of the other mermaids back home. There was always someone willing to be company. He missed it.

He wondered idly if there were any mermaids in the school like that. He'd like to find them and maybe make friends. See if they were as pretty as the mermaids back home.

He almost forgot he was running the course, until he had to hop over a large rock.

Round 4

He was getting tired, which made him slow down. He tripped slightly, though he barely managed to stay on his feet. Suddenly, the sky crackled and lit up, and he was struck with a seering, burning pain. He cried out and nearly fell down.

It took a second to realize he'd just been hit by lightning. Beluga, that had hurt! He rubbed at his arms as he continued to run, trying to get rid of the remaining sparks of pain.

Round 5

The clouds didn't give him any chance to recover from the first hit. They crackled again and lightning struck him with a clap of thunder that sounded unreal from up close.

He cried out and barely managed not to collapse. By some miracle he managed to find a path off the course, and took it before he could be struck again.

Round 1

He returned the course a few days later, because it bugged him. He'd failed, and his gut told him part of being a hero was trying to succeed where you failed.

He was scared, though. The lightning had hurt.

He took a deep breath and started to run.

It didn't take long for the sky to decide that wasn't good enough. It struck him so hard all he saw was a flash of light before he was out. He woke up in Nurse Cricket's office after that, a glass of water as his side and tingling in his arms.

Round 1

Let it not be said that Wally had given up.

He gave himself a few days to recover, but after that he was back at the start of the course. He was afraid of ended up at Nurse Cricket's again, but he wouldn't let that stop him. He was going to beat this.

He started to run, and was relieved when nothing happened immediately.

Round 2

He was tense the entire time he ran, but he didn't let himself be slow. He kept up a decent speed and just prayed it would be enough.

For now, it was. The clouds didn't so much as flash. He was very thankful for that.

Round 3

His luck could only last for so long. The sky rumbled, and just as he winced he was struck again.

He couldn't ever really be prepared for the pain, though. It still made him cry out and falter. But he kept going.

Round 4

Just like the last time, the lightning was unrelenting. Where it had struck him once, it struck again. Wally yelped as tears sprang to his eyes. His ears rang from the sound and his knees shook.

He couldn't keep going. He had to get off the course.

This time when he left down the little path, he didn't come back in a few days, or even a few weeks. He was done with this for now, tired of the pain and the failure. Maybe in the future he'd be strong enough to do it, but not now.
