What the ********> Gene screeched as at least a hundred grubby paws grabbed at her, pinching and pulling and generally making the experience of kidnapping even more painful than it really needed to be. "Get your groping, dirty-a** hands off me!" The doppelganger howled, her cries futile and unheard. She was so not in the mood for this s**t - she'd actually been having a good dream.

Gene had stopped fighting after a few minutes, instead crossing her arms and retaining a generally very pissed off expression. Stupid damned gnomes. She couldn't wait to be away from them - away from all the shenanigans of this place. She loved Amity, but the parade of terrible was a little bit too much for her sometimes. Gene would rather have a choice in what she put herself through, thank you very much.

She'd miss it, when she finally graduated. She would miss the gnomes and the stupid pranks and the classes, the threat of detentions never fulfilled and the student council's events. She'd miss her friends, but her old ones had already moved on. Xiu, Danny, Rikki. The Doppelganger wanted to be free to see them again soon, and have the freedom to do so.

She often wondered what would happen with her cafe ideas - was Xiu still up for them? What were Danny and Rikki up to? What in blazes was Hel doing, she wondered. Would she be a commercial success? Or would Gene have to be some sort of temp woman - no, not that. Gene did not want to be stuck in a cubicle.

Her rear hit cement, and the army of gnomes was gone. She gained her bearings after a bit of confusion, unsure as to why she was dragged all the way out here at 3 in the mor-

Oh. Graduation dungeon.

"Well then... this is it." A sad smile haunted the ghoul's face as she grabbed one of the torches and pushed through the door, finality setting in with the slam of wood and iron.

The maze, labyrinth, dungeon - whatever you called it, proved of zero challenge to Gene. In fact, it had really just been one big hallway that led to a large room with a rolled up piece of parchment on the other side, a ribbon of blue and grey tied around it. Was that hers? It seemed so. She took a step forward (levitation locked down for some stupid reason) before a great clattering shook the stone at her feet.

A massive knight appeared before her, his javelin standing between her and an uncertain future. The ghoul's face contorted into a fierce snarl, arms erupting into a set of spiraling granite columns with fists. "I don't know who you think you are, but you are not taking this from me.

Gene instantaneously dropped into a fighting stance, taking a blow from the Guardian and shrugging it off, rushing in to his exposed torso and delivering a solid punch to the abdomen, exhaling as she did so.as Rage had taught her. Focus the anger, harness it, let it explode in a punch.

She blocked the massive weapon from her face, snarling. Like the many battles she'd fought before, she had to stay cool and not start seeing red. Seeing red was bad - taking the path of vengeance was bad. How many times had she had her a** whooped when she'd gone out for revenge? Only when she'd fought for something greater than her selfish goals - waking up the Kings, saving the kidnapped students, protecting Amity from Horseman and Hunter threats alike.

School was much more than classes and homework. She realized that now.
