Andy replied, "A saiyan is, well, a weremonkey. Like the werewolf, a saiyan will change into his or her animal form during a full moon as long as they possess a monkey's tail."

Unwrapping his own tail, Andy waved it behind him. Then he said, "There are two ways to become a saiyan. One, you must be born into the saiyan race and two, you must mate with a saiyan and develop your own tail. I am mated to a saiyan, so during a full moon, I will change into a wolf monkey. Since I am part wolf also thanks to me being raised by wolves. When I change, I will become the size of King Kong, I will have the snout of a wolf, two tails and...most importantly, do not be around me when I do change or, due to my animal nature, I will end up killing you. Once a month this lounge closes because of that reason. Vegeta here changes too, but he just becomes a giant monkey and will be sent to a planet that needs to be remodeled. My husband Raditz too will change into a giant monkey."

Leading Jinxi to a beybattling arena, Andy pointed to a very large dish in the center of an auditorium. "This here dish is just one of many entertaining things to this lounge."

Dee Bogard was in the arena practicing her bey-blading skills. Hearing Andy's voice, Dee retracted the blade back into her hand, then said with a smile, "Good morning, Andy. Oh? I see you are on tour duty today. Lose another bet with Raditz did we?"

"No!" Andy replied, knowing the bombshell of a news report Dee wanted, "I did not lose another bet to Raditz. This woman here, her name is Jinxi and she fell down the stairs of the lounge. Maybe instead of blading, you should be escorting Vegeta to his room. He fell asleep at the bar counter again."

Dee giggled because of what Vegeta did again, then she said to Andy, "I suppose that is best."

Turning to Jinxi, Dee said, "Welcome to the Bogard Mansion, Bar, and hotel resort. I do hope you enjoy it here."

She searches her pockets, big deep ones on the front of her frock, and frowns slightly. "I don't seem to have any money, though. That will probably be a problem." She peers at the sleeping Vegeta, then shrugs philosophically. She smiles at Dee. "So do you work here?"

Dee giggled, "No worries about money, Jinxi. This place, its all free for our guests. I am one of the co-owners of the building. Andy's older brother Terry built this mansion when he was 10 and finished when he was about 22. Give or take a year. He finished shortly after having defeated Godomous for round 1."

The young empress lifted Vegeta without much of an effort, then said, "If you want to see what type of room Vegeta has, follow me. This is just one of the perks to renting a room at this hotel besides it being free."

Pressing the elevator button for up, Dee then said, "Also, everyone here isn't exactly human. We look human sure enough, but we all have our powers."

She calmed down as she used a key with her monkey tail to open Vegeta's own room. Then she said, "Powers are fun to have, but they are also a big responsibility. I bet even you have powers that you weren't even aware of Jinxi."

Dee set Vegeta on a bed that looked like it was made from some exotic animal for the posts, one could clearly tell were polished and carefully cared for bones. She added, "As you can clearly see, this room looks both primitive and advanced. Vegeta is a saiyan prince. In his culture, the commoners like Andy's mate Raditz, are used to the most basic of laws. The survival of the fittest being one of em. This bed does have different animal hides and actual genuine Iron mined for its creation. The posts are made from Tyranno and Saber Tooth tiger teeth. Don't worry, these materials have been thoroughly cleaned and is on a constant inspection basis so not to attract unwanted pests. And heaven forbid that these posts get cavities, so we brush them and polish them and they get checked by my son Jason Hoshi every 3 months to make sure that this bed stays the way that Vegeta likes it. A lot of work for just a bed, but its well worth it afterward."

Allowing Jinxi a nice long look inside the room, Dee then added, "The modern conveniences include a water slide escape route to the beach in case of emergencies, air conditioning for in the summer time, and a decent vent system so that it doesn't get too stuffy. And of course, there is a bathroom in every suite. Its a way to make a room feel like home without being at home. This floor that we are on in fact is the Dragon Ball Z floor so that guests who starred on Dragon Ball Z or its related series can stay here. Of course, Raditz's room is always vacant because Raditz and Andy share a room where Andy claimed to have found you. Seriously, one of your powers must be your bone structure on the inside because according to my just in report, you were found in one fatal position had it not been for your body's natural bones. They are not human, but they appear like it except in normally fatal positions. I mean, you could literally rotate your head all the way around, well nearly, then your head would merely bounce back to proper position so to speak. Rubber bones, my dear made out of a substance that is a combination of rubber and actual bone. They simply cannot break."

(This is to add to Jinxi's character a bit, and to make things a bit more interesting. It also proves the longer you stay in the Renaissance Galaxy, the more adapt you become to its environments. My character will explain further about these reports she gets, but the questions have got to be asked too if you get what I mean. I am not exactly god-modding, just showing another one of my powers, which I don't wanna spoil until I get the question.)

She gazed with interest around the room. "I'm fairly sure I've never seen anything quite like this before. So why is the bed worth so much trouble - other than it's distinctive appearance?"

"Imagine having bed bugs that mutate into giant insect-like monsters that feed off of blood devouring you like it was a vampire, but without the classic good looks whether old-fashioned or sparkly. You do NOT want those things anywhere, so the reason we clean it daily is so that its monster free. Some people claim that Vegeta can be a real monster at times, but seriously, he's nothing when it comes to bed bugs here in the Renaissance Galaxy."

so do the bed bugs show up in all beds of just Vegeta's or just this unusual one?

"Bed bugs are like a plague. They spread very quickly and they grow just as fast. They may start in a bed, a book, within wood, on a dirty floor, basically anywhere that isn't plastic. Their diet is blood, but they can hide just about anywhere."

Without even looking behind her, Dee used her kiryuken energy beam to destroy an already mutated bug that was going after Jinxi. Andy had to dodge the blast in order to prevent his hair being singed. The splatting sound was all anyone needed to know what had just happened.

"Well, looks like Andy was right. Time to put the monitors in the rooms for more bed bug eggs and find out the source."

Turning to Jinxi, Dee said, "On earth, these things are impossible to detect early enough, but because we are in the Renaissance Galaxy on the Planet Hamster and because the tech here is so much more advanced, we can use something like infrared to literally scan for the eggs before they are hatched and we burn them. The trouble is getting all the rooms in this mansion in time. And it only takes one infestation for it to become a real nightmare."

If you don't mind running an errand for me...see, these scanners are available only at Southtown University Hospital and Dr. Ken Masters knows where they are at the hospital and I don't. Now, while I have one scanner and I need at least 5, you could go down there on my behalf. Plus, you might find the hospital even more interesting than here. Its not your average hospital considering we hold an annual fighters tournament in this town. It might be worth checking out. Andy could go with you just to be sure you get there okay. After all, you haven't exactly proven yourself a fighter and well...there is a law in this town for safety regulations that if you aren't a fighter you gotta have a fighter escort. Oh, don't worry. You have a good fighter's skill, you just haven't learned how to use it yet, Jinxi. Andy laughed at this, more to remind Jinxi that he was still in the room, then he said, "The skills you develop will not make you more violent Jinxi. If anything, it will prevent you from losing the life you have in this dangerous town. Long ago when Dee first came to Southtown, there was no such thing as escorts. It was a time of horror beyond words, beyond what can be properly said, a time filled with nightmares one cannot wake up from. Terry and I had to be separated when we were kids just to throw our scent from a wild mad-man who gives Thanksgiving dinner something to be grateful for. Then when Dee knew that her and Terry were becoming more serious, there had to be some changes that would protect the innocent from having to relive what Terry and I went through, a way for those people to become just another body for the Southtown cemetary. Having rubber bones may protect you from most fatal twists and turns, but even rubber has its weaknesses and it only takes one person to find that weakness and take advantage of it before your tombstone is written. Dee knows that downtown Southtown is where most of those types of people hang out and she wouldn't be asking me to go with you if she felt you could handle it on your own.
