Personality: Kusano is a bit of a wild girl, believing that if you skip the little things or are too scared to do things that you'll regret it later in life. She always does things with a grin as this mentality came from her past hearing the regrets of others that were burned away as she could only watch. As she doesn't want to disappoint the dead and not live a full life she is always smiling and a bit mischievous, if an opportunity to fun comes you can bet she'll do it like a bear on honey. Now while she is wild, she is exceptionally kind and loyal, she'll never abandon a friend or her village willingly of her own choice, and hurting innocent is a sure way to really get under her skin. She seems to always be looking forward even when times are rough, like a train going to the next location on all cylinders, sad things may slower her down a bit however they won't stop her. She is a bit simple, and not big in depth philosophical thinker or a genius when it comes to knowledge and tactics but she makes up for that with an excessive amount of hard work to make up for it. While she is a simple fun loving girl her eyes are quite special to her as the only link to her real family that she never met, being a bit special in a way she doesn't fully understand as they are said to grow quicker then most mugen. While she doesn't have much a temper for small things she gets a bit irrited when learning bukijutsu as she learns it slower then most people.

Kusano was born into a branch family of the Mugen clan, however out of her branch family she is currently the only known surviving heir as her father died on a mission and her mother died during labor. So she was sent to an old orphanage and raised that way. The only remote tell of what her life was before was her golden eyes with a single ouroburos ring that was common in her clan, known as the Kinmukugan. However while her late family did have a bloodline they were not ninja and lived away from the village a bit, so she grew up also not really knowing about her eyes. The orphanage was a quiet little place filled with kids like her as she listened to her caretaker like a good little girl, and made friends with other orphans. Due to her young age she would think this was her "true" home for a long time, and got very scared when people adopted other orphans like they were taking away family. As this happened frequently she became a bit of a trouble child for parents wanting to adopt her as she wanted to protect the other kids for the longest time.
When she was old enough to fully understand the caretaker told her about what was going on about adoptions and the like, which kusano didn't accept at first and slowly grew to understand more and more eventually realizing she was wrong to cause so much trouble. However she soon was in her teenage years were she began to lose a bit of hope. As her caretaker and foster mother helped her through the dark times, the orphanage being the only home she had ever known, she began to see the despair and hate of other orphans who had a home and lost it or more. She tried to cheer them up only to fail, a be a bit bullied for her happy personality. She'd get hurt and sad but never gave up hope even when it was bleakest.
As she lived in the orphanage things would just get worse, as the orphanage was taken by bandits claiming the orphanage like they hideout and doing what they willed with the kids and caretaker for awhile as they hide under the nose of kumogakure ninjas. A few kids were beaten to death, and the caretaker seemed to lose hope however Kusano kept her head raised high, and while she was beaten physically, they never broke her spirit. Her eyes like piercing daggers at the bandits always as she kept getting up and doing what they asked. Her eyes spooking the bandits a bit due to the unyielding almost electric spark that kept hope in her heart. The bandits grew a bit wary of her to the point she was treated more like a slave to be thrown away but never once gave in helping the other kids. As the bandits held the orphanage hostage for a few months.
Eventually the bandits were found out by the kumogakure ninja, but not after one last trick to attempt to get away. They were to burn the orphanage in hopes that the ninja would think that they left the hideout leaving the kids to burn in their watch as they slanked off to a new location. At night they started to burn the orphanage as the kids were crying, scared, shouting regrets, some even so hopeless they thought the flames a release from pain. Kusano's mother like caretaker broken by the bandits and the screams of suffering could only hug her children as if accepting punishment for something unknown. The only one kid decided to do something crazy in an attempt to save everyone. Kusano had heard the bandits were running from ninja and it was that hope that she could catch the ninja that held firm in the attempt to save the people she could. There was no escape that didn't lead to pain, this Kusano knew as she began her run. With the sound of burning flames around her eating at her flesh a bit she kept running if she stopped she'd burn more, this was followed by the shatter of glass that cut her but she didn't stop. Cut and Burned she ran, calling out as best she could for help, screaming her situation until her body gave into injury and passed out.
When she woke up she was bandaged head to toe in a hospital in kumogakure looking around as a medical ninja was busy making sure she was comfortable and healing to a point she wouldn't have too much tell of what happened. There were some scarring on her back and feet though. Some of the kids from the orphanage and her caretaker was there safe and mostly uninjured as a ninja walked up to her. The ninja commended her actions in getting their attention but berated her on how reckless she was jumping out of a burning building like she did. He looked into her eyes carefully, the ninja knew her bloodline almost immediately by the ouroburos ring and the color. However at the time he didn't say anything wanting her to get better before asking.
It would be a month before she healed and the ninja would ask if she knew about her bloodline. When she shook her head no she began to explain it to her a bit before asking if she wanted to be a ninja telling her that someone with her talents and loyalty might be able to be a wonderous ninja someday. Kusano smiled and was about to answer as her caretaker walked forward with a bit of a tear in her eye not wanting the girl to go yet. Kusano saw this and looked at the ninja asking if she could be a ninja in a few years instead. The ninja nodded and allowed her wish as she went back with her caretaker. Since the orphanage burned down the other kids were sent to other orphanages however Kusano lived with her former caretaker who apologized for losing hope and cheered kusano on with her goals.
The original cut off age for her old orphanage was sixteen, so when kusano was sixteen she left her home and caretaker with a smile to become a full kumogakure ninja, during her time with her mother they both prepared her a bit working on her strength and reflexes. Her "mother" was sad to see her go but happy she was following a dream and proud that she spent a few years with her. It would be a couple years before she became a genin however she worked her hardest. She found her favorite weapon of use was a giant fan as she continued to work. Now she is 18 and a ninja and will proudly serve kumogakure until her last drop of blood is spilled.
