______ Dmitri had always been interested in the stars, the alignment of the planets and the stages of the moons. From an early age, he had learned how to use a star chart by his father, and how to identify the constellations in the stars. Already armed with this knowledge and the countless essays he'd written for class, it was no surprise that he passed the test with flying colors.

______ Despite having been enrolled in Hogwarts, the majority of his family had all attended Durmstrang, and during the summers, he often challenged his siblings to dueling matches, picking up on quite a few martial magic techniques taught to Durmstrang students.
✘ Herbology - A
______ Perhaps he was a bit careless as he attempted to collect the snargaluff pods. He forgot to cast the freezing charm at first, and would have been cut by a thorn if he hadn't been wearing his gloves. Everything proceeded smoothly afterwards though, for the most part, he did nearly break a vine when he shoved his arm through the hole to acquire the pods.

✘ Potions - EE
______ Naturally talented, Dmitri easily memorized potions and felt at home behind a cauldron. His nimble hands didn't spill or add an extra drop. When he tested the potion, a single snore had knocked several points off his grade.
✘ Transfigurations - A
______ Dmitri studied and practiced hard for this class, he was never particularly gifted in this subject, but he wasn't dreadful at it, either. He transfigured his lower half into that of a Manticore, four strong legs and torso of a lion, plus the menacing scorpion's stinger. Points were taken off for the slight unnatural green coloration that morphed in from his uniform.

✘ Wandless Magic - EE
______ Dmitri practiced every day for hours, before and after each quidditch practice and during every lunch hour. His wand was loud, by default, there's no such thing as non-verbal magic when it comes to his wand, it won't work, it refuses. So he made every conscious effort to practice his wandless magic because of it. He defended heavily during the tests's practice duel, rarely ever missing a beat.
