Today's my mom's birthday.
I just really wanted her to have a decent birthday. She's my mom.
She really wanted a desk that's at this thrift store she always goes to; it's $250 and I was trying to get my sisters to help pay for it but to no avail. So that flopped.
I got her a basket with a bunch of snacks in it and some balloons. She's hard to shop for. She seemed to like it but I just wished I could have given her more.
Then we all went to the park and Sub and Alan were having a ton of fun playing. We went for a short walk and listened to some nearby frogs. It was getting late so we decided to head out. We were going to go out to eat at Olive Garden or something. Grandma's treat.
Caitlin and Sub were racing to the car while Alan, my mom and I walked. Sub must have gotten tired because we saw Caitlin put him on her back for a piggy back ride. And they started running again; we weren't too far behind so I picked up Alan and started running too. My mom was laughing.
Then we saw Caitlin fall.
Sub was fine, but Caitlin was holding her head on the ground. She was bleeding and said her head and her leg hurt.
So now I'm home with Sub and Alan.. and my mom, on her birthday, is at the ER with Caitlin getting her head checked out.
What a freakin' day.
BLEH.

So I just posted to get that off my chest and if I could delete this thread I would ;p
Caitlin is fine though she had to be checked on every 2 hours last night to make sure she didn't develop any concussion symptoms.
I'm watching Alan today especially since mom and caitlin were both pretty much up all night I'm sure.
Mom seemed to have enjoyed her birthday despite it all. They were only at the ER for an hour so that was good.
