I recieved a messsage on my profile by an random user on this site. If it was some kind of sick joke then I am willing to put it behind me but I know Jesus says that others will come after us for our faith. It sounded like a death threat, so I reported it to one of the site's moderators. Was I wrong for for taking this kind of action?

If someone was threatening you, you should always report it. What did the person say, exactly?

You did the right thing, sis. Threats no matter how little it may seem should always be taken seriously, in my opinion.
Now what's left is to pray for the person. I pray that our Heavenly Father will have mercy on that person and may He help soften that person's heart and reveal His truth in His time. May He also open that person's heart and mind to consider and accept His truth in His Son. In the Name of Jesus Christ we ask these things..Amen. 3nodding
As random as that person may have been to comment on your profile, perhaps it is God's will that we are aware of that person and that we pray for their soul. : )

You definitely did the right thing. Try not to let this get you down-John said we should take delight in trials and persecutions. Sounds to me like you're doing something right. ^^
