Core Classes:

Astronomy Dani really enjoyed her Astronomy classes, even with the late night start times, and enjoyed the subject since being introduced to it during her Earth Sciences classes at her old Primary school. Although she didn't put as big an emphasis on studying for the OWL as, perhaps, she ought to have, Dani managed to get a very nice grade on her OWL.

Charms Understandably, this was one OWL which concerned Dani, as her wandwork is not her strong suit. When it comes down to it, Dani's biggest issue is she doesn't necessarily trust her magic to do what she wants it to do, even though her spells have not been surging with the frequency they did when she first started at Hogwarts. Encouraged by her friends, Dani practiced her wandwork all summer, and during odd hours while at school in order to build up the 'muscle memory' to perform her castings with greater accuracy, without fumbling her spells. Dani was happy to escape with a good enough grade not to be embarrassed.

Defense Against Dark Arts This was one OWL Dani hadn't looked forward to, not so much because of the written portion of the exam so much as what she might be called upon to do for the practical part. Sure enough, she was called upon to deal with a boggart in the cupboard, and forced to confront again the real fear that she would hurt somebody horribly with her magic were it to get the better of her. Again it took the form of her brother, and when it failed to break her spirit by portraying him as a cripple, as before, it became what she knew him to be, and then attempted to throttle the life out of her. Though she got her spell off, the experience certainly rattled Dani.

Herbology This is definitely not her favourite class at school, as Dani never really gardened at home, and after dealing with Professors Watson and Hill, she never was all that fond of the class. Still, she managed to do well in the written exam, and managed not to get pus all over herself on the practical exam.

History of Magic Definitely one of her favourite classes, and Dani was determined not to disappoint her favourite teacher with a poor performance. Dani put in long hours in the library in preparation for her History OWL, and it hopefully showed in the results.

Potions As far as Dani was concerned, Potions is rather like cooking, just with stuff one would never find in a normal kitchen, and it was this perspective which carried her through her Potion OWL. While this analogy likely wouldn't sit well with actual potioneers, it works for Dani, and for her that's good enough.

Transfigurations Honestly, Dani fully expected to blow this exam. Not because she didn't bust tail and study (she put in long hours pouring over formulas, and reading outside sources in the library), but because she wasn't all that confident she could pass the practical exam. Though the rote memory work she did well in, finding out she had to Vanish a kitten almost broke her. It was only because the tiny kitten curled up in her hand and took a nap, proving he trusted in her, was she able to rise to the occasion. She also summoned the kitten back a moment later, when the examiner was satisfied with her attempt. It remains to be seen if the Ministry examiner got his kitten returned to him or not.

Elective Classes:

Cursebreaking As wandwork and Charms in general weren't Dani's best subjects, she was a bit shaky when it came to this OWL. It was difficult work for her when she was in class, and so she was pretty nervous when it came to the exam itself. While her 'muscle memory' stuff saw her through the casting of the spells, it was a bit harder to keep straight in her mind what exactly she was supposed to do. She could only hope she was able to pass the OWL well enough for her to continue on in the class.

Healing Arts It really didn't help that Professor Dechering threatened any student whom failed her OWL with being fed to her vulture, or that the acceptable margin of error she would allow any of her potential NEWT students was so slim. Dani poured a considerable amount of effort into studying for this OWL, as she didn't want to disappoint the Professor or her grandparents.

Wizard Law Dani always found this to be an interesting class, even if there was a lot of memorization, reading and research. She wasn't sure if she had the wherewithall to cut it as a lawyer, but she promised her grandparents she would do the best as she could when taking the class, and she studied for long hours on end to prepare for the OWL. The hardest part of the OWL was the hardest part she experienced in all her OWLs, preparing to state her case to defend a client in open court. After facing a boggart, confronting the Wizengamut shouldn't have been so bad, but ...
