Be wary when venturing into the jungle. Be wary of the claw marks lining trees. Be wary of the cries in the distance. Be wary of the Wo-ha-li Pack, the raptors of the jungle.
Long ago, there was a small pack that lingered in the deepest part of the jungle. These creatures were quickly known as killers, as beings of instinct and animal nature. They never were seen as nice creatures; never seen as compassionate or family oriented. But that was because the only thing that people saw of these creatures was their hunting. Very rarely was an outsider allowed near the pack grounds. That being said, not much is known about their history. They keep a tight lid on their life, and kill any who try to disturb them.

The grounds that the Wo-ha-li pack guards is a vast area of the jungle. They have a large hunting area, covering many acres as well as parts of the river that runs into the jungle. The female raptors scratch warning marks into the bark of the outside trees, setting a sort of warning to anyone coming into the territory that they are trespassing. They guard the grounds with vicious methods, hunting as any pack would to ensure that no one steals their food source or gets too close to their home. They usually only hunt game, but if something comes into their hunting grounds, they attack with a pack mentality.
For the raptor family, their home is small, but ever growing. They have a nesting ground, where they lay their "eggs" ( baskets ) and have different raptors, either males or females, care for the offspring. They have a feeding zone, where they take their prey and distribute the food to the raptors to eat. As well as many other different areas to explore. [ In the process of coming up with different things the raptors will do. Ceremonies and rituals and the like. lol. Got an input? Send me a PM! I'm always willing to take suggestions and see if they work in the pack! ]

The Wo-ha-li Pack is a group of creatures resembling ancient beings. They have come to call themselves raptors, similar to the beings that lived long ago. They are purely meat eaters, detesting the taste of plant life. They live in a society where there is a lead female, and she runs the pack with sharp claws and flashing teeth. There is a respect there that none of the other raptors argue with. The only way to switch leaders is to challenge the current leader and win in a fight to the death. They hunt and sleep together, make pack based decisions together, everything. They are a family, and it is important that they always stay together. In terms of communication, they have their own language. Instead of speaking in the native tongue, they talk via chirps, cries, barks, and screeches. Occasionally a purr will be throw in there when being affectionate to one another. They can get in disputes where two will be almost violent to each other, snapping fangs and shouting at each other with high pitch noises, but it always seems to work out when the alpha steps into the fight. Breeding is... odd, in this pack. The alpha often times is harsh in judgement toward her fellow raptors. When a potential mate seems to come into the territory or is run into in the wild, she instantly approves or disapproves. If she approves of the mating, she will go about her way and leave the raptor and their partner to do what they will. If not, she has a tendency to try and run the stallion or mare off her territory, and can often times even try to kill the partner. If she truly disapproves, she may even attack the raptor in question to show who is in charge. If the children are born within the grounds, she looks down upon them unless they can prove their worth. If not, she may run them out of the grounds as well, even if they are young children. Bones are a strong influence in the Wo-ha-li Pack. They often times collect small bones from their prey and hang them in trees around the territory, using them as a warning sign if someone gets close. They have another purpose for the bones. They string them into jewelry or trinkets and wear them as a sign of strength and success. Only the raptor who lands the killing blows gets the bone, meaning if two raptors work together to kill the prey, they both get a bone. With more bones comes more respect from other raptors. But some raptors can't fight to collect their bones. Some have other methods of gaining respect of others. The healers in particular. If a raptor is tended to by a healer, they generally will offer up a bone or a feather of theirs in order to show that this healing raptor has assisted and helped them. In that regard, raptors that are healers can gain respect and work with pride knowing that they too have something to show off. The bones come into play in another part of their lifestyle. A part that most the raptors tend to look out for every month. The Go-la ceremony. The raptors gather in a fenced off area, barking and screeching in excitement. Those with enough bones to fight get paired up and enter the ring. They fight until the alpha or protector call off the fight, usually when one could be seen as getting to critical injury, and declare a winner. The winner then gets to pick a bone to take from the other raptor and wear it themselves. It shows their strength and pride for their culture. It's one of their most prized ceremonies. But that isn't where bones stop. When one of their raptors fall, there is a mourning ceremony. The pack gathers the fallen and takes them to a tree in the center of their pack ground. Many different raptors have died here, and with that, they allow the body to be taken back into the earth to join the ancient ones. But before they allow it, they gather a bone from their fallen comrade, and hang it in the tree so that they can remember their lost friends. They often will spend many hours and up to days around the tree, mourning and comforting everyone. The alpha won't leave the tree until every last raptor has been able to say their good-byes and gotten to a point where they can move on. They call this tree the A-da-nv-do Tree. The advisers tend to look at the sky for omens, be them good or bad. Often times there is no problems, and they don't worry about anything. But during the night, if a shooting star or a meteor shower happens to pass view, they send out warning shrieks. They see the falling stars as a sign of a poor hunt or the possibility of losing one of their pack. When it's called out, they will stay close together in the pack grounds, protecting one another. Only a select few will be allowed to leave the pack grounds to ensure nothing is coming near the pack. When the advisers call the all clear to leave, they will once more be allowed to go about as normal.

Alpha: The leader of the pack; she rules with a vicious tendency and can seem harsh. Though if her raptors are being good and are loyal, she shows her affection with nuzzles and special meats. She's often time wanting to lead the hunting parties, though at times knows she must stay back in order to handle something in the pack grounds. She's protective of her pack, and refuses to let anything happen to them. [ Techabyte ] Protector: The protector of the pack runs the scouts and guards. She is often the right claw of the alpha, and can be seen near her conversing different things. They have a close bond, being the eldest sisters, and work hard to ensure that everyone stays safe. [ Ririka ] Advisers: These raptors are trusted highly by the alpha and protector. They decide if the territory needs to shift because of game moving, or if they need to expand the territory to feed the numbers. They often times go out to try and converse with other packs or herds to ensure peace is kept and the boundaries aren't breached. Scouts/Guards: These raptors are very rarely in the pack grounds. They venture out early in the morning or late at night to runt he borders of the territory, wanting to be the first to know if something is going to happen in which they would need to alert the alpha. Healers: These are not typical healers. They are great herbalist, finding anything they can to mend wounds and heal poisons. They don't like the idea of losing any member of the pack, and will leave territory in order to get the perfect herb to fix something on the raptors. Teachers/Nest Keepers: These are one in the same; they stay primarily in the nests, protecting the young baskets while their mothers and fathers go out and hunt or spar. When the baskets are ready to hatch, they call for the parents via barks and chirps, so that the parents are the first to see them. Once the imprinting is done, they begin to teach the small children how to walk, hunt, and survive until they are old enough to go out on hunting parties. Entertainers: These raptors are often painting with bright colored paint and have accessories forged in bone and beads. They dance and sing, having a cheerful attitude. They often are found staying within the grounds, and help to get the hunting party excited to go out and find more food. Those Without Rank: These can be anything from foals to breeding partners that are just being used to produce strong raptor children, or anyone who doesn't quite know what path they wish to take in the pack.
There are several different types of raptors. Ones that are colored just like lizards ( Jurassic Park Franchise ), ones that have bright colored stripes or markings along their bodies. There are also ones with feathers that run along their bodies or ones without. Anything raptor like can be quested to join the pack! The easiest way to custom one in is to custom a Hippo'suti. The claws and, if you want, feathers can come from the Hippogryph line. And the tail and back claws can be added in easily with the Ulun'Suti lines. They can be any color or designed, based off the movies or other scientific theories of raptors. Below is a few pictures of raptors you could use for inspiration!
