______ Axel proved himself fairly adequate on his exam; he took his notes and somewhat paid attention during his classes, but the essay portion was rather lacking in details and dotted with several misspelled moons, so he managed to scrape by with a passing grade.

✘ Defense Against the Dark Arts - E
______ Axel had practiced his wandwork and pronunciation, paid attention in class, and crammed for an hour before the test; he was a little caught off guard facing another boggart, and was surprised to find his fear had changed, it took a moment for his emotions to change gears from fear to laughter, but he did belt out a hearty, but short, laugh, and enough snickering to send the boggart away.

______ Unwilling to study, Axel did rather horribly on his exam, mixing up names and dates because he didn't care to remember who was who, and it affected his grades so much he couldn't even pass.
✘ Potions - P
______ It wasn't that Axel hadn't tried, because he did, and he studied rather hard too, but somewhere between getting his ingredients ready and tossing them in the cauldron, he got something mixed up somewhere, or maybe a little too much of something? He couldn't even remember, he hardly paid attention what with that song stuck in his head for the entire hour.
✘ Transfiguration - A
______ Axel had studied hard for this exam, knowing it was his weakest class, aside from healing. He practiced hard on a variety of spells and crammed right before the test, garnering him good results on the question portion of the exam, but when it came to the practical--trying to vanish a kitten-- the spell was unsuccessful the first time, but worked on the second try, except for the small fluff of fur left behind.
