All in all, it seemed to be a typical school evening. For some, it was time to study and do homework. For others, perhaps time to catch up on some much needed rest. Or maybe to do that all night marathon of gaming or watching their favorite show on threatflix.
Something was stirring by the gymnasium, however. There may be those who might notice a couple of strangers lurking around the area. They were fussing around behind the building, uprooting a thorny bush and tossing it aside. Shortly, they began to dig away the earth, leaving a nice hole right next to the side of the gym. There, on the now-exposed foundation, appeared to be a few runes or symbols carved into the stone.
"Here it is."
"What are those symbols?"
"Doesn't matter. We got work to do."
"Don'cha think Battista would..."
"Trust me. He'd want us to get in as quick as possible. And you know what that means."
They yammered to one another, squabbling over their next course of action. Five of them in total. A goblin. A zombie. A naga. A witch. And a ghast (not to be confused with a ghost).
For those just passing by, this little scene might be enough to incite interest. The five didn't look like students (plus they had no pin!), and there definitely were some symbols on the foundation. Who were these people? And why were they here? What were the doing digging up holes on school grounds?
For the few who had been taken in by Jamila, they would feel lured to the spot. It was time.

Hollandaise supposed it was a good thing there were so many trees around. It wasn't like home, of course, but it was nice. She'd gotten up to wander from her dorm, restless legs and an even more restless mind. The shadows lengthened and she moved from one to the other, feet silent on the grass. Although, she had no destination, somehow, instead of deep within the woods, she ended up by the gym. She'd hoped to find the ring and had looked, but to no avail.
But now, there were creeple there. Utterly strange creeple. Hollandaise frowned and wound herself around a nearby tree. And when they uprooted a bush and tossed it aside, heaving it unintentionally near her, she snarled - a horrible, feral noise - only barely resisting the urge to lash out at them. The only thing that kept her silent was the knowledge that these were not students and probably stronger than her. What good would come of that? Instead, she reached out a long fingered hand and stroked the leaves that would soon die, eyes glowing as she spoke to it through her hands. Plants were plants, and she could promise retribution, but a plant accepted his death. The bush was solely uninterested in revenge or anything but enjoying the small breeze around his leaves. Hollandaise wondered if that was what made her not Warder-like enough.
She kept still and memorized their faces, their clothes. Later, she told herself, lip curling. Hollandaise watched as another approached them. Maybe if enough creeple came (even if there were undead, ugh), they could band together and do something. Something violent, she thought darkly. Plants were not meant to be torn before their time.

Mathias always spent his evenings outdoors, and this was no exception. However, much like another time before, he found himself wandering in not his usual haunts, compelled instead to make his way to the gym. He walked along quietly, his boots only thudding softly against the ground, red eyes shining dimly in the slowly darkening light.
There seemed to be a bit of a commotion as he approached. At least one ghoul from the school that he recognized from a previous excursion was there, and apparently rather eager to please. After a moment, he realized he recognized the other ghoul, Sammy, as well, from when Jove had introduced him to her.
The rest he did not recognize, and they all appeared older, anyways. Frowning, he approached further, when he caught a slight movement out of the corner of his eye.
Turning that way, and with near perfect vision in the dark, it was fairly easy for him to catch sight of Holly. He did not know why she lurked in the shadow of a tree, simply watching, but, with a small scowl, he whistled between his teeth in her direction, and then held up a hand, gesturing for her to come out.
And then he turned back to those that were digging along the side of the building, gaze taking in the runes even from a distance.
"Hello." He stated, as he closed the gap between himself and them. "What is all this, then?" He gestured.

"They killed a plant, Mathias," she hissed. But she came forward slightly, leaving the be-splintered, busy corpse behind her. She didn't wonder why he saw her, merely assumed excellent vision - after all, she was noticeably not the most interesting thing going on right now. Hollandaise trailed somewhat behind him, eyes narrowing as she stared at the runes. She hadn't seen the like around the school, although she also had not seen fit to dig at the bases of buildings for any other purpose than to plant thralling ivy so that it would climb and insert itself into the small cracks of a building.
She waited until Mathias spoke, and inserted softly into the small silence that followed: "What are those on the building?"

Last time, he pried some good information about the mysterious amp bracelet. Attention was his favourite, especially when you had a almost perfect sister that outshone you in all aspects and your parents only paid attention on her. They left you alone at home to attend your elder sister's performance on school's grad show, not knowing you had a bad fever and curled up painfully, the cold sweats damped your clothes. You were a young boil only, before you gave up, you tried your best to score great on academics and sports, but they only talked about your sister.
Then you became a rebel teenager, you allowed yourself to create troubles and you fought with people on street, bloods and sweats, until you met with her. She taught you skills and tactics while she stressed your manners. You changed, still enjoyed fighting but shadowed by the violence, you developed into a gentleman that treated every lady nicely. That was your story.
The serpent dragon not sure what he was doing in the gym while the evening should be a time for testing out new dessert recipes. In an apron, he found himself still holding an aluminum container of tie-dye sugar spookies mixed with mini lemon curd tarts in flower shape. He smelt sweet and nice, like something newly baked from kitchen.
The noise of eating had waken him up earlier, as he scanned around and saw the suspicious group. The white hair boil smiled, holding the container and walked towards the group, he baked too much again that even Dwa, the tail head found it hard to empty the plate.
First, he approached a girl who seemed to be eager and about to join the digging fun. "Hello Miss, are you hungry, would you like to try some treats for me?" He smiled amiably and bent down for her, pretty much like the waiter on a ball event.
Next, he went to the group with lesser treats in his tray. "Be careful of tummyache, Bro." He warned and also teased the Head so busily devoured as much as he could. "Good evening ladies and gentlemen. Are you enjoying a little digging game in this beautiful nice evening?" His crimson eyes, though smiling, took a quick glance at the stone when they were distracted by how impressive the munching of the Head was.

Dirge was, as always, up late and knees deep in a game of Super Crash Monsters, playing online, equally getting wailed on and doling out punishment. It wasn't satisfying, though, like it usually was. The Kasha could actually sense the other things going on in his room, the jibber jabber that came from other student's minipets that had crept outside their respective owner's dorms, the dim fractals of green light cast by his alarm clock.
He closed his GameBoil after the last match, fed up and bored. This wasn't right. Perhaps a walk?
His legs moved on their own, right to the gym - and who else would be there but Matty, Tree Girl, and Ana. Also more weird and slightly creepy adults.
Dirge approached Matty first, Anna obviously too enthused about digging to have a conversation with. "Uh, hey bro. What...who?"

The white hair boil in apron chuckled delightfully, "Andrew, I'm always ready for taking an adventure." Since AJ moved along with the demon, he asked, "How does it taste?" Seeing the grumpy boil recalled many memories, when they were freshmen to Amityvile. When they went to a place for a dangerous treasure hunt, when they talked at the House Cup, when he teased him and Olivia with a photo. He was year two now, and besides the stronger liking in baking, he didn't change much.
