::Ryuken's Hidden Training Room::

This room was created by Ryuken Ishida as a training room, underneath the Karakura Hospital which he runs. Created with Soul-Synthesized Silver and Soul-Synthesized Glass, this is where Ryuken trained Uryu to regain his Quincy powers. This special room is where Quincy come for intense training to improve themselves and increase the limits of their Quincy Crosses.

Items

Quincy Cross: 250 Ryo - [Limit 1 Per Quincy/Gemisht]:
Allows a Quincy to manifest their basic spirit weapon. The shape and powers vary depending on the cross's shape and the user of the wearer.

Sanrei Glove: RP 500 Words Acquiring it and learning how to utilize it from Ryuken Ishida. - Must be of the appropriate stage to acquire Final Form to acquire.
The Sanrei Glove is a blue and white glove with four toggles which lock it in place on the wearer's hand. It makes it harder to draw in spirit particles, but with enough practice, it actually strengthens the user's ability to manipulate reishi. Upon removal, and in only dire circumstances, a Quincy can access their Final Form, a powerful state in which they can fight and draw in large amounts of reishi, but at the cost of losing their powers for a while after.

Pentacle Glove: RP 1000 Words Acquiring it and learning how to utilize it from Ryuken Ishida. - Must be of the appropriate stage to acquire Volstandeig to acquire.
The Pentacle Glove is not so much a glove as it is an upgrade attachment to the Sanrei Glove. When use the pentacle on the back, one can instead generate a massive surge of reishi, beyond that of the Final Form, putting them on par with a Shinigami's Bankai. This form can be utilized freely without the drawbacks of the previous Final Form, but one rarely uses even this stage unless they mean to kill.

As Sauce approached the entrance of karakura hospital he couldn't help but be a bit nervous. How was he supposed to get into this secret training facility without setting off any bells or knowing where to go? This was going to be a s**t show he just knew it. But as he approached the doors two men were standing there waiting for him dressed in suits. He didn't know they were waiting for him until he tried to walk past and they grabbed him..but they weren't too rough. Sauce didn't struggle, he was ex-military so he knew a "come with us and don't say anything" situation when he saw one. It was no surprise that they knew he was coming, with a place like this they have to have at least one staff member that can sense spiritual pressure. At any rate, Sauce was now in and was being escorted down to the training facility with a slight rush, which is always good for a man with things to do.

When Sauce arrived he expected to see someone he had recognized, but instead just a little old man in a white coat. The two men who escorted Sauce pushed him forward and then walked away, probably off to secure the lunch room. Sauce looked at the old man "I'm Sauce." the old man nodded his head almost as if he was saying Sauce was correct. "Yes I know, please" The man motioned over to a station that looked like something out of a jigsaw movie. "What the!?" the old man shook his head and then motioned again, this time Sauce saw that he was not motioning towards the death machine but to a box over on the table with a cross laying on top of it. "I spoke with Morty; you're alright." the old man said with a slight smile on his face as he allowed Sauce to approach the table. He grabbed the cross and laced it to the side and then opened the box. Inside the box was the Sanrei glove that was waiting for him. He had already talked with his Grandfather about this and was prepared for everything that came with it. Sauce took a deep breath and equipped the glove to his left hand, he officially committed to the Quincy cause. Sauce also placed on his cross so he wouldn't have to use mom's old one anymore and set off to start his journey as a true Quincy. He didn't even say thanks to the old man, he didn't feel he had to. He had an idea the old man had seen many like him come and go, all with something cheesy to say on exit..not this time.

                                    Arrows Fly In Azure, Enemies Bound In Shade, Souls Screech Under The Shaken Destruction

                                    Blanche shows up in the hidden underground facility, just underneath the quincy training grounds. This is where the stronger quincy go to gain one of the unique powers that belongs to them and by every right, should obtain. The very first technique is known as Final Form or Letz Still, the first release a Quincy can achieve but only through the use of a Sanrei Glove. This power gives Quincy a massive boost and is par on Shikai level of a Soul Reaper's Zanpakuto however it can cost a Quincy's powers after use. Though through training, she learns that over the years, Quincy have developed to not lose their powers in the first release which there fore relieves Blanche in such a way that its like rocks were pulled out of her heart. Those rocks were based on the fear of losing her powers and not able to protect all full blood quincy and humans. Under such power, It shouldn't be taken lightly no matter when its used. This power must be very well controlled if not, there is that potential risk of wasting spirit energy that shouldn't be wasted. Which means, any opponent she fights pushes her normal form to the limits without the release of Letz Still, she will have to pull the release trigger off of the Sanrei glove and let full power envelop her. Humans are just like the Quincy in some way but they are also beings that may not have any spirit powers at all. Its why she is training so hard with the glove to get a good grip on it, so it magnify her power beyond normal limits.

                                    Such limits are like a ocean in any spiritual being but each ocean has a different characteristic. For Blanche, her ocean is a black abyss of Ywach's blood in her, it simply reminds her of certain enemies. Though its too cloudy to recognize the faces of those enemies or get a read on their spirit energy. Though the further she dives into this ocean abyss in her mind, the further she feels her power just dwell in this new found power like she is learning it naturally like second nature. Her spirit would only get more stuffed up by this power, building up and pushing as its like hands, reaching to find the surface to Blanche's being. Words speak into her being, body, spirit, along with the entirety of her psyche"Power....Find...It....Use...My....Power...Child..." This only continues to ring in her ears like a bell, a constant reminder of the fact Ywach flows in her. Many Quincy wouldn't know why that is the case but its very clear, learning how to combat their enemies is very important. Specially to someone like Blanche, so motherly to the point where she is extremely protective of her loved ones. This is why she is fighting so hard to master the Sanrei glove and obtain Letz Still so she can use its power to protect and destroy all enemies that dare threaten her loved ones. She never likes to fight unless she is forced to do so. After all, she can't stand to see living creatures snuffed out without experiencing power similar to hers.

                                    With that, she finally reached mastery of her Sanrei glove and plans to reserve this new found power. Keeping it at reserve can prevent her from using it so casually as its not a power to simply use without measure of risk. Though most likely, there will be enemies she has to use Letz Still against despite obligations or reservation. Displaying this power is out of the question as its not for show and tell but to use to stopping a enemy dead in their tracks no matter how brutal or harsh. This power will remind her of the ocean she dived into, the very ocean that helped her find this power. The very depths of a mysterious voice that told her to find the power. Well its now all hers and may use it freely against any enemy.

As much as she would check out the current disturbance, she can feel a lot of presence from the falls. Its such a beautiful place, a place where all Full Blooded Quincy can learn techniques from specially when they are involved with another Quincy. Either way she must head to the Falls, its her next destination to learn further of her heritage and become more disciplined in teaching young Quincy the traditions of their race and its power.

L U C I A L E I T N E R

Due to the unexplained crack in her Quincy Cross, Lucia had to cut her training short and return to the city. Prior to heading to Souken Falls, she had turned her phone off to focus on her training. To her surprise, as she arrived at the bus stop, there were multiple missed calls and text notifications on her phone when she turned it back on. Her eyes lit up at the amount; the girl swiped through them while she waited for the bus. Most of the calls were from her mom, but before she could return any of them, her phone started to ring. It was her mother again… Tapping the button, she put the light blue device up to her ear to answer. "Hel-" "LUCIA?! Lucia, can you hear me?! Are you okay?!" the voice shouted, causing the girl to pull the phone away from her ear for a moment before responding. "Yes, I'm fine. I turned my phone off so I could focus on training" Lucy explained. "How many times-?! I told you..I told you not to do that… Lucia, I thought you were…" Her voice was cracking and the sounds of soft whimpering could be heard. Was she crying? Judging by her tone of voice, this wasn't the usual "I'm worried about you" she usually got. Something was wrong… "I'm sorry... Did something happen?"

Hearing what had transpired was a little hard to swallow, hard to believe. Karakura Town was destroyed by someone? Mass amounts of Hollows attacked the town? What was going on?! “Lucia, hurry back home. The Hollows have all disappeared now and-” “I can’t come home now. Not after this… I have to keep training- I’ll just train closer to the city. And...I’ll keep my phone on too” she offered as a compromise. From the corner of her eye, she could see the bus approaching on the horizon. The voice on the other end had gone silent, Lucia well aware of what was going through her mother’s mind. As the bus came to a halt before her, the woman would sigh, breaking her silence. “I...Just be safe…I love you...” was all she could muster to say. The Quincy took a seat on the bus after saying goodbye, on her way to the hospital with newfound determination. Things had suddenly gone belly up with this incident and from what she read on her cell, these “unexplained accidents” had taken place all over the city. Part of the town was leveled in an explosion and numerous deaths from “aftershocks” occurred shortly after. For something like this to happen, why didn’t the shinigami intervene? Or perhaps they tried but were ineffective… All the more reason for her to continue her training...even if her mother was against it.

This was the only time the young adult would be getting some rest, so she opted to take a nap on the way to her stop. Because once she reached her stop, her training would begin and not cease until she was satisfied. Unfortunately, the stop put the spirit archer some distance away from the hospital due to the carnage that took place. Lucy had to walk the rest of the way and bear witness to the damages around the city. Seeing this only sparked rage; rage for the Hollows responsible and the shinigami who were helpless in the devastation. Fortunately, the Hidden Room beneath the hospital was untouched. This place served as a Quincy Outpost of sorts; where training could be done in secret and new equipment could be acquired. The last time she was here, Lucia left her family heirloom Quincy Cross here to be refurbished and took another out on loan to continue her training. But now that she somehow damaged this cross, she was hoping hers was restored. She sighed as she approached the man who was more or less the Quartermaster of this place. “Excuse me. I’m here to get my Quincy Cross? Also...I may have broken the one I had on loan…” she was embarrassed to admit. Fetching the silver trinket from her pocket, she held it out to the man who looked at it with a raised brow.

The Quartermaster plucked the cross from her hand, holding it up to his eyes to get a good look at it. The crack was minor; however, if it was exacerbated, it would be beyond repair. He was quiet as he studied it and then without a word, shoved it into his pocket. “I should’ve known. The bizarre technique of the Leitner Family puts too much stress on an ordinary cross. It’s why you use these old relics, right?” he smirked, fishing another cross from his pocket to show her. This one was her personal cross that she had refurbished, and what a spectacular job was done with it. Before, it appeared to be a traditional Quincy Zeichen with the old symbol in the center. Now it had a more modern look with a gold ring outline and an ivory polish that made it shine in the light. It did not look so much like an old relic now. She reached out to take it, but was stopped by a rescinded hand. "The payment for your cross has already been handled, but it doesn't cover the damages to the loan…" A blush would warm the girl's cheeks, nodding as she understood. Forking over the cash, she would have her cross returned to her at last. Lucy wasted no time in forming her spirit weapon, taking a good look at its form. It was as she remembered; its long silver and white slender frame with curves leading from the handle.

Along with minor accents here and there, it kept it from being a plain old recurve bow. No, her Taube was as beautiful as when she first laid eyes on it. Despite the cross being modified, the bow remained the same. This zeichen was a family heirloom of the Leitner Family, being used for centuries by her family. Their crosses were made of a mix of metals besides the standard crystalized reishi metal. This alloy was a good conductor of reishi but withstood being broken down by their technique. Yet...Lucy still had no idea what this alloy was; a family secret not even she was privy to. When she was done admiring her weapon, she would return to the Quartermaster with another request. After all, she came here to train and get stronger for the fights ahead. “If it’s not too much trouble...may I ask for a Sanrei Glove?” "You want a Sanrei Glove now? Hmm…” the man paused, staring at her. It was almost as if he wasn’t looking at her but within; trying to determine if she was strong enough to wield the power. Whatever he saw, it evidently satisfied him, noted by his head nod. “Fine, I'll get you one. In the meantime, why don't you familiarize yourself with these?" A couple small silver tubes would be unveiled before her golden hues and placed gently in her hand.

The Quincy recognized these cool metal tubes as Ginto, the containers that stored liquefied reishi to be used in Quincy spells. Her mother was very proficient with them or at least she used to be before losing her powers. It certainly would not hurt to add the craft to her repertoire. While the Quartermaster left to retrieve what she requested, Lucy started focusing her reiryoku. She closed her eyes to block out any outside distractions and visualize the room being empty. It was now a pitch black void with only her in the center and it was so quiet…

~~~
“Every human being on this planet has reiryoku. Some have more than others, granting them superhuman abilities. But we, as Quincy, have the potential for so much more. And we have a duty to protect those who cannot protect themselves from forces beyond their comprehension… Do you understand, young lady?!” The sudden question grasping the distracted child’s attention from the black butterfly just outside the window. Feeling her grandmother’s intimidating gaze, it seemed now would be a good idea to start paying attention. “Y-Yes, ma’am! I, umm…” “...Do you now? ...Very well, show me your reiryoku” the suspecting old woman demanded. Feeling the pressure, Lucy gulped and closed her eyes to concentrate. Her bottom lip trembled as she struggled hard to get her energy to show itself. But the more she focused, she believed she could feel something coming out. Her energy slowly started to form around her, though it flickered on and off like a light. It felt warm and tingly on her skin, but if she could just reach out... Instead, she felt the hard rod of her granny’s baton knocking on her head, causing her to squeak in pain. “I said reiryoku, not reiatsu! This is why you must pay attention, Lucia! Your reiryoku is the spiritual energy within, your latent power! Although...to exert your reiryoku is reiatsu, so you’re not entirely wrong” the elder woman smirked. “Whaaa? Then...why did you hit me? Eep!” Lucy zipped her lip when her granny started staring at her again with that look. “Why?! Because I know you weren’t paying attention! This is important, so listen well. Your reiryoku is your overall power. If you wish to get stronger, improving and mastering your reiatsu is key. Now, go ahead and do it again. Close your eyes and block out everything around you. Focus on your breathing and find your reiryoku deep within. When you find it, concentrate on pulling it to the surface. You’re in control, you can do it…”
~~~

Lucia took a deep breath, listening to her own breathing and finding her reiryoku in her depths. And now, she would pull it to the surface- the archer opening her eyes to find her spirit energy cloaking her in a veil of gold light. Pulling her energy back a little, she would make it as thin as she could get it. “There, that should do. Now for the next part.” With the tiny silver flasks in hand, she would flick the caps off to prepare them. To liquify her reiatsu, she had to condense it until it was literally pouring off of her body. Though she disliked the thought, it was easy to think of it like sweat coming off of her to visualize the process. Having the spirit energy drip from her hand, she would painstakingly fill each one until they were full and then repressing her reiatsu once more. It seemed she could only manage six of them at the moment… It was a little disappointing when she recalled her mother had so many on hand at any given time. She was so good at spellcasting, they called her the Quincy sorceress- Zauberin! Once more, Lucia’s drive to improve would rise; she refused to be seen as weak or to actually be weak, especially when she held the name of the Leitner Family. Well now that she had the Ginto, it was time to test them out and practice some spells. The Quartermaster had yet to return, so she had time to keep going. Wandering the training hall, she would find some old and weathered text on the proper use of the capsules. The scrap of paper felt like it was about to crumble away in her hand; at least it was legible.

First was the Holy Spell - Heizen, which she recalled seeing on a few occasions. There were a couple target boards with which she could practice on and all she needed was a single Ginto for this one. She would study the incantation on the loose leaf, committing it to memory. "Feel the wrath of battle...and accept this sacred chalice?" she read aloud, wondering if these were really the right words. There was a quick and easy way to find out… Choosing her target, Lucia held a single Ginto and took aim. "Feel the wrath of battle and accept this sacred chalice! Heizen!" As she tossed the tube, the liquid within burst from the cap and transformed mid flight. She was shocked to see the giant block take form and demolish the target in a single blow. It did help that it was larger than the ring, but still! If she kept at this pace, she might be okay after all. She continued the exercise two more times until she felt a little confident about doing it. She still found the incantation a little weird and had no idea it would get worse from here on.

"A silver rod strikes the five-fingered stone bed?! This makes no sense, why would-?" The modern age Quincy stopped mid sentence, as it was futile to argue it at this point. It was just...a little embarrassing for her to say aloud and mean it. The Holy Spell - Gritz was one she was not aware of and was curious how this one worked. Just like the other, it only required one Ginto but was not limited to the one. She would have to think strategically with these since she only had so many. Tossing the tube and reciting the spell, this one created some kind of wrap around the bullseye that sealed it some kind of...bubble. According to the text, this one trapped and destroyed the target caught inside. Lucia was skeptical until the Gritz fell open and the target had been completely obliterated. “Huh. It did all that?” she mused with a hand on her hip. She wanted to try another one, but as the man from earlier returned, she put it on hold for the time being.

He approached, holding a small box in his hand that was held out to her. “One Sanrei Glove. Are you prepared?” he asked with a smirk. Lucia nodded, taking the box...but felt he was leading up to something else. “Thank you… Is there anything else?” she quizzed, trying to pry into whatever it was. “...Well actually, there is another tool you might be interested in. Another great tool for every Quincy…” This tool that the Quartermaster would show her next caused her to gasp audibly as she recognized it immediately. “That’s-! A Seele Schneider! My father uses…used. He used those often…” There were some sour memories tied to this particular tool; it being her father’s specialty in life. He was called the sword dancer, Schwerttänzer, not just for his skill with a blade, but his ability to use so many at once. In fact, it was he who taught her to use a sword as well, though she hadn’t used one in quite some time, since… No, Lucy knew she could not avoid this any longer. If she wanted to become a greater Quincy...as well as honor the memory of her father, then she would have to master the Seele Schneider as well. “I’ll take it...please” the aspiring Quincy requested.

Setting the box aside for now, she took up the silver instruments that were oddly shaped in design. This was because they were not simply swords but were designed to be used as high powered arrows. If she could learn to use them properly, they would be an even bigger asset to her arsenal! But that was due in part to them being so hard to use correctly; most didn’t start learning until after attaining Letz Stil. In her case, Lucia didn’t feel worthy of Letz Stil until she could carry this burden. For now, it seemed she could only wield two at her level of power; the gap between her and her parents being quite large. Twirling the metal bar by the ring on its end, the first step was getting a feel for the weight. Then, she would attempt to create the blade, grabbing hold of the handle and focusing her reiryoku to her hand. After a little delay, the razor saw would slowly take form from the “hilt”.

~~~
“Remember Lucy! The basics of swordsmanship is footwork-” “Dad? I thought Quincy’s only used bows and arrows?” the girl interrupted, a little confused. The man paused and laughed, shaking his head. “Well yes and no. The Quincy have many tools at their disposal to slay their enemies and to defend themselves. For instance, the Seele Schneider is an arrow with a dual purpose-” the man started to explain. However, his easily impressed daughter would cut him off yet again. “Your swords are arrows?!” she exclaimed in awe. The hearty man could not help but laugh out loud at his daughter’s reaction. “Yes, yes. But anyway, a sword can make the difference between life and death when the enemy gets too close and running is impossible. That’s why I’m going to teach you…”
~~~

With a sigh, Lucy would begin going through the motions of her training from memory. Her style was a fencing style, not the same as her fathers, but the one he encouraged her to pursue. In his words “You won’t be satisfied copying me. Find something you feel good in and make it your own.” The elegance and grace of fencing complimented her style just well and though she was out of practice, she was very good at it.

Swiping her Seele Schnieder before her, Lucia was beginning to work up a sweat. She wished she had a change of clothes, but she had not anticipated engaging in such a strenuous workout. But that all changed when the Hollow attacked the city. Was she supposed to wait for the shinigami to protect her city from being destroyed? Was she to stand idly by, hoping the shinigami show up to save the people from heinous monsters? “Absolutely...not! Hah! I can...do this. I will do this! Hah!” the woman huffed between each strike. She felt the Quartermaster’s eyes watching her, monitoring her training. It was not as if he had anything else to do, but his presence was of no detriment. In fact, it pushed her to not fail in front of him; the kind of pressure the young Quincy had grown accustomed to and trained with at an early age. Currently, she was practicing her lunges, working to improve her speed. In fencing, the most important attribute was speed: to attack, react and counterattack all in the span of seconds. But the Seele Schneider was a different sword than she was used to.

The blade was fabricated from her own reiatsu and despite not being as thin as a rapier, it was just as light if not lighter. If she looked closer, she could see the blade was vibrating at a high frequency, almost like a chainsaw. Seeing it up close like this, it was no wonder these were considered high grade weapons. Brushing her hair out of her face, Lucia would talk a short breather to get some training dummies set up. Shadow sparring was great, but she wanted to see the effects of the Seele Schnieder on a target. For this, three silicone mannequins were stood up and spread apart in a formation. With the arrow in hand, she inhaled deep and put some distance between her and the dummies. It got silent as the room came to a standstill, not even the man watching had made a move. Then, with a burst of speed, Lucy lunged forward, like a blur of green rushing to meet the three targets. Snapping her wrist, she slashed across from her and cut the side of the left mannequin. Her form kept her body loose and fluid that when she took another step, the flip of her wrist would strike the side of the right mannequin.

Weight was left in her back foot, allowing her to push off and continue her assault, finishing the last training doll with a thrust, piercing its chest in the center. One thing she immediately noticed was how easy it was to cut her targets. The vibrating edge made it impeccably sharp that there was no drag when slicing through. Her previous attacks didn’t slow her down and even now, her arrow had punctured the silicone deep. This was good, but something she would have to get used to. As the Quincy had anticipated the slight drag of her blade and expected to lose some momentum. She almost had difficulty in reading her own movements and reacting properly. In fact, it was more like her body acted on it’s own and she had no control. That would definitely become a problem if left untrained… Now it was time to see how the arrow performed as an arrow. The Quartermaster would step in this time, setting up an array of circular boards for her shoot. Except he lined them all up in a row at one end of the facility and stationed her on the adjacent end.

“Trust me. This will help you understand its power and potential” he assured her. Drawing her spirit weapon, she would lift and nock the Seele Schneider in the bow, taking aim at the line of targets. As she raised it, the arrow would slip a little, revealing it’s awkward design. It was unlike her spirit arrows or even the ordinary arrows she often trained with. The weight was a little uncomfortable to use, yet she took aim and attempted to fire the tool anyway. At the moment of release, the archer knew- she felt that it was going to miss. The Seele Schneider went flying at the targets and ended up falling short, piercing the ground before the board. “It’s a little weird to hold...and I think I did something wrong” she figured. For some reason, it lacked the power or oomph that should have come with the attack. But she wasn’t going to ask her seasoned colleague, she would figure this out on her own. Pulling her other Seele Schneider out, she would line it up in her weapon for the second time, taking aim at the goal. Lucia wound up practicing this for a good half hour, running over to retrieve the only two arrows she had each time they failed.

Even when she hit the board, it was not in the center and it only struck the first. Obviously, it was supposed to hit the ones behind it as well; otherwise, why would the Quartermaster set them up this way? If she recalled, the tool was capable of stealing energy to make itself stronger. Perhaps if she poured more energy into it… This would reveal to her the piece she was missing as the arrow took the appearance of a cross. Now...she could fire it. Her eyes were locked on the bullseye, the energy radiating off her bow and arrow, washing over her in waves. With an exhale, the Seele Schnieder took flight, racing across the room to punch through the first board. But it did not stop there, cutting a path through to the second and third, where it stopped. There were still two boards beyond it, still this was a small victory. Lucia continued her practice for a while longer before feeling the urge to start her Sanrei Glove training. Letzt Stil was a benchmark for every Quincy and her time had come.

L U C I A L E I T N E R

It felt like hours since Lucia's training began, but at the same time, she had accomplished several . With Ginto and Seele Schneiders now under her belt, the Quincy was finishing the last bit of her training in their use. The final technique she practiced was the powerful Sprenger- where she had to set five Seele Schneider in a zeichen formation. Applying just a little bit of her reiryoku from a Ginto set off an immense explosion within its boundaries. Fortunately, the training room was built to handle the size and power of a Sprenger without much damage being done. Such a technique would require time and preparation to use in an actual fight; however, the payoff was absolutely worth it. In the middle of her clean up, the man who oversaw this facility would approach her with the box in hand. Lucia clipped the last of her Seele Schneider to the belt on her waist before reaching out to take the box from him again. She hesitantly stared at the box, steeling herself to undergo the training for her Letzt Stil. “Remember: The Sanrei Glove will not come off until you master it. Once you put it on, there is no going back…” he sternly reminded her.

But the young Leitner heiress had already made up her mind, unveiling the garment within. Taking the glove out, she silently handed the box back to the man; her silence and expression being more than enough to speak for her determination. He would say no more on the matter and respectfully take his leave shortly afterwards. She slipped the velvet white glove over her right hand that stopped just before it reached her elbow. At first it was a loose fit until the two accompanying metal pins were attached. They fit into the small holes on her wrist; with a twist like a key, they locked into place. This caused the glove to shrink and conform to her arm as designed. And while this took place, the woman felt an odd sensation all around her. It was as if all reishi in the immediate area had vanished! No, it was just the opposite- where she could feel things beyond her grasp, now she felt nothing at all. It was her senses that were abruptly cut off by the Sanrei Glove. Such a sudden change made her feel...empty and at a loss. “Is this what’s supposed to happen? It’s almost as if I’ve lost all my powers!” Lucia gasped, feeling a little out of breath.

As if the air had gotten thinner, her breathing became ragged and a wave of fatigue had brought her to a knee. “N-No! I have to...calm down… Breathe. Breathe…” This was unlike anything she had ever experienced before. It was said the training in the gauntlet brought suffering upon the wearer, but this was not what the young Quincy expected. And this...was likely only the beginning. Lucy took a moment to relax and focus her breathing; she needed to get used to this before she could continue. Now that she started the training, it was as the instructor said: there was no turning back. Rising to her feet, the girl huffed and puffed, trying to fight through the strain. Now that she was calm, Lucia could feel that the reishi was not gone, just faint. Looking at her right hand, the glove that tightly constricted it was like a seal. To become stronger, a Quincy had to learn to live with the seal until it was hardly noticeable. For starters, one must learn to summon their weapon while they suffer. At the same time, the glove repelled reishi, which was now hindering Lucy’s attempts to do so now.

It required all of her concentration and then some to draw energy to her hand. In spite of the repulsion, the spirit particles converged in her palm with nothing but her strength of will. Yet the tiny lights struggled to take the form that was asked of them. When she thought of the Quincy who came before her who also endured this and even surpassed it, it gave her strength to keep going. And it did take hours, longer than her training with the Ginto and Seele Schneider. Exhaustion was evident on her face, sweat dripping down her cheeks and even drenching her clothes. Since starting, the archer refused to stop for breaks, perhaps to her own detriment. Though her efforts were beginning to show as the spirit energy was now starting to look like an arc. “I...I won’t lose...I refuse...to lose!” Lucia cried out, mustering her last bit of strength. Reaching deep within, that power would be called out as reiatsu suddenly surged from the archer. Channeling it to the arc, the bow was finally formed as it was grasped in hand. And then, the energy would pewter out and Lucy would lose her last leg of strength. With her fatigue catching up to her, her body would give and she would collapse on the spot.

Had the Quartermaster not been present, things could have potentially ended poorly. The woman awoke a little later in a different place, moderately lit, on a small cot. It was a small room, empty aside from the bed and a small table with a pair of chairs, but well kept. She found herself looking at the spinning fan on the ceiling which kept the damp cloth on her forehead cool. Seeing as she was in the training room, she deduced this might have been a back room of sorts. As Lucia sat up, her head throbbing with a minor headache, she would find she was still clutching her bow in hand. She held her head, trying to discern her whereabouts. That’s when the Quartermaster entered, surprised to see her awake so soon and confirming Lucy’s suspicions. “I figured I would give you space to train… I didn’t think you would try to kill yourself” he scoffed. In his hand he held a bottled water which he handed to the reluctant heiress. “...Thank you. But I’m fine. I need to get back to training...” Gripping the cold bottle, she motioned to get to her feet, but was stopped by another dizzy spell.

Her body refused her wishes and forced her to lie back down. The overseer shook his head, heading over to the nearby table to get something. Lucia didn’t like wasting time like this, yet there was not much of a choice in the matter. Again the man would come to her side and shove something else into her hand- medicine this time. “Take it. It should help with the fatigue. Also...it’s none of my business, but why exactly are you trying to prove? If you die overexerting yourself in your training, you’re no good to the Quincy or anyone else for that matter.” Lucia was quiet as she listened to her senior, knowing he was right. Shoveling the medicine pills in her mouth and chasing it down with the water, she would attempt to get some rest. “...I understand. Thank you again. But with all due respect...it is none of your business…” She had her reasons for her reckless training, not that she wished to share them. All that mattered was getting stronger right now and with her bow in hand, progress had finally been made. The Quartermaster would leave shortly afterwards allowing the ill to get their much needed rest.

Taking herself a short nap, the Quincy would more or less recover from her exhaustion and return to the training chamber. Now that she held her weapon, the next step was drawing arrows. She would need to keep firing arrows without letting her bow dissipate; which, now that she thought about it, had not done as such even after fainting. Was she closer to her goal than she realized? With a sigh, the target practice would begin! Getting her arrows to form was almost as difficult as getting her bow to take shape. Not to mention it was slow- too slow. To add to the arduous endeavor, the arrows felt abrasive to the touch. It was not quite like razor blades, but more like sandpaper. It seemed even the feel of reishi was different now and working against her. After a few minutes of firing arrows, this would begin to take its toll on the fingertips. It was slowly tearing the flesh and eventually caused bleeding that Lucia could not ignore. Taking a moment to bandage her left hand, she would make use of the first aid kit the instructor provided. Her injuries stung when she clenched her hand; however, this would not stop the girl. She was getting some handle on the reishi feel; creating arrows was becoming easier and faster. Perhaps if she could figure out how to shoot with one hand, she could give her hand a break. This thought would suddenly be interrupted as she felt a disturbance outside. Her training was not finished, but this was something Lucia would never be able to ignore and went out to investigate.

User ImageTyrael rarely found need to come back to the training areas for the quincy. He had learned all he could from the debased people of his youth, and god’s path had taken him far away from his spiritual brethren. However, it was often that his mind still wandered to the places he so frequented in his youth. His path had taken him here for a reason, and that reason had been in accordance with god’s will. Through the quincy, he had learned how to slay demons, in his holy name. For his time among them, he was thankful.

When he was but a child, probably 10 or so, was when the voices of god first began to whisper, telling him of his purpose, guiding him on his path. These whispers were his only companion in a lonely world, a comforting voice in a world fraught with cruelty. At first, Tyrael was ashamed to admit, the voices scared him, their coarse whispers bringing a shiver to his young spine. The voice of angels was enough to make humble any man, much less a boy of only 10. These voices told him where to go, and guided him to prominence in his clan. In those days, his name was Gabriel. Indeed, Tyrael thought it ironic that his given name, the one he had used in his youth, meant “Messenger of god”. If only his parents had known how true that would become.

Gabriel, as he was called then, trained harder than most of his peers, at the insistence of the voice, who he came to know as Tyrael. This was before he took the name of the Angel as his own name. As a young teenager, devout young Gabriel was as powerful as mnay of his adult peers, his command of spiritual energy rivalling that of the elders. He was merely 16 when he mastered the quincy cross. 17 when he mastered the senrei glove. The Pentacle glove had tested his faith, it’s unwholesome imagery enough to stir discomfot in Tyrael for even using such a tool. However, within a few short months, he had mastered that too. The teachers of his clan were baffled; none had mastered the tools of the quincy in such a short time, or at such a young age. Gabriel soon forewent the use of teachers, and allowed the voice of Tyrael to guide him. It was then that Gabriel left his village, and changed his name.

Gabriels first few months as the living embodiment of god’s wrath were fraught with sorrow. In his heart, Gabriel still lurked, like a black cancer that had to be carefully cut out. Gabriel was ashamed of himself often, and questioned his path, in those days. He had yet to give himself over completely to his path.

It was a few years before Gabriel fell away to the will of Gid, as spoken to him through his messenger, Tyrael. When this last pretense of falsehood fell away, and Tyrael finally was able to enact God’s will on this plane, life became easier for the still-young vessel. Giving himself completely over to his path, he found his faith was unshakable. His path always led him to victory, to salvation. His host of enemies, the enemies of the true god, assembled before him, and fell upon his sword like bags of leaves. Tyrael was unstoppable. With God’s guidance, his arrows struck true, and his sword was whetted by God’s will, Tempered in the fires of Elohim’s wrath.

Tyrael found he was unstoppable, and the demons that came to assault this small town, the town he had grown up in (but had been a foreignor to) fell before his sword wherever he found them. His skills that he had learned as a child had become invaluable in his quest to cleanse the world. With bow and sword, Tyrael was a blunt instrument enacting God’s will wrathfully upon all those who would stand apart from his holy plan. His sword was guided by gods hand, his bow an instrument of god’s will. Tyrael was armored in his faith.

Such unbending faith in god is a glorious thing, and Tyrael soon began to attract followers, if one could consider them followers of Tyrael more than followers of the will of God. Tyrael was loathe to call himself their leader, but such a title was placed upon him. It was for this reason that Tyrael was here, in the training ground of the quincy, to begin with. His followers were largely quincy, those who knew the word of god and would bend to it. He had come to train them, as he had been trained.

                                    Arrows Fly In Azure, Enemies Bound In Shade, Souls Screech Under The Shaken Destruction

                                    Blanche focuses on other techniques as well besides learning Volstandeig which are various pieces of equipment. For example, she walks over to see a unique type of shaped weapon, it has a hilt of a sort but its weirdly shaped, a sword. She picks up the weapon, with her delicate fingers tracing over the hilt as she would grip it. Though what was the purpose of this? Why is it called a Seele Schneider? Is it because of its shape as a sword or Its function? Blanche takes a deep breathe focusing on gathering the reishi to her which form the blade as it comes pouring out with a vibrating sound. Blanche examines the blade very closely such as tracing from the hilt up close to the blade trying to understand its structure. The way it feels in her hand, it just doesn't feel like a weapon she would use very often but would still want to carry it because it may prove useful in her arrow attacks formed from her book like quincy weapon.

                                    She would further then check out sliver tubes that are in the storage room here. The boxes or containers they are in, they are specifically designed to show they are Quincy equipment and is entirely up to anyone to chose if they want to carry them or not. Much to the dismay or the thought of falling back on these weapons, she takes the ginto, it will prove useful down the road when she wants to produce spells. Between the Ginto and Seele, she would prefer to use the Ginto more then the Seele as the sword is more about melee if used in that way but proves more useful as a arrow. Arrows are the best thing Quincy are very familiar with but with the Seele, she would need a lot of practice so she can use it in both melee and ranged when needed. Back in the school she did read many fantasy books that there are spell casters in these stories, perhaps that is her fascination and motivation to what to shape her Quincy weapon into a book that fires arrows or special arrows like the Seele.

                                    She then focuses on two spells that are very connected to the Ginto, Heizen and Gritz. Gritz can be used for escaping or having a enemy left helpless against her attacks for a little while. Though such a spell will only be stronger as long as she gets stronger which is why learning Volstandeig is very important and critical to have advantage over hollows. Those hollows make her feel disgusted, attacking humans left and right, this spell may help her stop them temporary and get the humans moving on like fleas. Though she doesn't think humans in that way but for them, they better move like they are fleas. Even someone with her power can't hold hollows off forever but she will sure try though. Its her duty as a Quincy to defend the humans, men, women, and children. She can't stand it if a small child died, at that point she would be very angry.

"Hmm.. A Hospital.. Not a place I would expect to go for any kind of training. Especially that of what I was told was basically.. Weapons training.." A black hooded man says to himself, as he slowly walks up the side walk path towards the large hospital building in front of him. Karakura Hospital, it was called although he only knew this information from the sign he had read on the way up the path. His single gray eye passing back and forth over the people that were walking in an out of the hospital as he made his way towards it. He was not entirely sure where he was expected to head to, after all he was simply told that it would be a secret room somewhere underneath the hospital itself. Keeping his attention on those that he walked by, he did not innately feel anything out of the ordinary from any of them. Which on it's own was a good sign. It would have been a real shame, if he needed to exorcise a civilian on the way to his new training route. He was not fully capable of such a thing yet, his temple not having made the necessary time to fully train him. 'You need to be stronger' they would say, 'Your connection to the spiritual realm needs strengthening first!' they would announce as well. These apparent excuses always leading to a feeling of both inadequacy and resentment towards those that were teaching him. As he made his way through the door and into the building of the hospital, his single gray eye snapped back and forth with the hopes of spotting whatever it was that he was looking for. Secret door? Large flashy sign? Secret message or symbol? He wasn't told exactly how he would find this special training room, so he simply began walking forwards and ignoring the woman at the counter he soon passed by. She gave him a look and tried to ask him some questions, yet he simply held his hands together before him, and bowed respectively even while he continued to walk. He did not say a word, even as she confusedly continued to ask her questions, up until the point that he turned a corner and vanished from her sight. He would continue to walk down the hall way that he had chosen, up until he reached a stairwell that gave the option of going up stairs or down stairs. He looked around carefully, before choosing the obvious choice, down the stairs. Heading down, he continued until he reached the bottom floor and what he presumed to be a basement or similar room. Reaching for the door handle, he grasped and attempted to open it. Only to immediately realize that it was locked tight. He would sigh out loud, before shifting a hand into the folds of his black cloak and drawing out a blank sheet of paper, a single black pot of ink, and a brush. Opening and dipping the brush into the ink, he quickly draws a design of symbols onto the paper before holding it still for the ink to dry. It appeared to dry rather quickly and as soon as it was done, he slaps the talisman onto the door next to the handle and takes a few steps back. His hand raising up with two fingers pointed upwards towards the sky, before he drops his arm and points with those same fingers towards the talisman. A sudden gleam of red seeming to glow out from his normally gray eye as reiatsu forms both around himself, and then condenses to his finger tip before shooting out to strike the talisman like a beam. A sudden crack and a small fireball would shoot from either side of the door, before the door itself swings open as if it was moving on it's own. Of course that was more due to the now missing handle that had apparently been forcibly removed from the door itself. He softly chuckles as he walks forwards and pushes the door fully open ahead of him. These little tricks were always something he found entirely too handy. Locked door? Blow it open. Treasure chest? Boom. Opening things was never more fun! He smiles smugly as he walks through the door, of course all that was ahead of him was a normal boiler room and small storage space. He immediately frowns slightly, as his now gray eye shifts over the area looking for any other doors that may be down here. Of course he did not see anything. "Are you kidding? Is there another basement or something?" He says out loud as he slowly walks forwards through the room. "No actually, this is the only room down here. You also happen to be trespassing." A voice says from directly behind him. Turning around immediately, he assumes a defensive posture even as the first arrow of light is launched at him, striking him clean in the left shoulder and sending him spinning to the ground within the middle of the room. "Now.. I do not know why you are breaking into the boiler room in my hospital, but I can tell that you are not completely normal.. So speak up, what are you doing down here?" The white haired man demands as he draws back another arrow on the glowing spiritual bow in his hand. "Ugh.. My name is.. Abe no Joka. Joker, for simplicities sake.. I was told by another.." Joker begins, as he slowly begins to rise back to his feet. His single gray eye keeping held steadfast on the arrow being pointed in his direction. "..Quincy. They said that if I wanted to gain access to my real power, I would need to get a cross?" He says with the last bit of his sentence being more of a question then anything else. The white haired man slowly begins to lower his hand, and look Joker over. "Okay.. I'll show you.."

The white haired man walks forward slowly, drawing a ring of keys from inside of the light gray suit he was wearing as he steps passed Joker and places the key into the lock of the door. A soft glow of reiatsu would emerge from the keyhole, as the entire door seems to open as a sliding motion along with a good portion of the wall. Revealing a stark white room with a multitude of different shaped boxes lining one side of the wall, and what appeared to be a shooting range against the other. A few standard wooden chairs were scattered throughout, as well as a desk against the wall beside the door. The white haired man simply steps inside and walks over to the desk before taking a seat. His narrow blue eyes looking upon Joker as he awaits them to walk into the room, all the while the door based wall would slowly begin to slide itself back into place. Joker immediately hurried inside as he looked around at the room that he had just been allowed into. His single gray eye glancing this way and that as he takes in all the oddities. Glass and silver tubes, boxes of crosses and pentacles just thrown together. His gaze soon fixed onto the man that had allowed his entry to this place, and yet before he could speak the white haired man says. "You are looking to become a Quincy you said. If you are indeed one, then you should have no problem utilizing the power of a Quincy cross. Head over to those boxes, choose the first one that appeals to you. That will become your primary tool for combat." He says as he gestures a hand over towards the box of crosses and pentacles that was set on the floor against the wall to his right. His blue eyes immediately snapping to the watch on his wrist as if he had somewhere to be and did not want to wait all day for Joker's choice. Joker immediately headed over to the box, looking down at the multitude of different options at his disposal without any real idea of what he was supposed to be looking for. He simply began to dig through the box, lifting and dropping ones that he thought looked interesting but then realized they did not seem to appeal to him after being picked up. Joker sighs quietly as he continues to rummage through before eventually coming to a strange almost christian themed cross, with an additional X across it's crucifix shape and other spines lining the longest part of the cross. With this particular one in his hand, he looked it over carefully. It appeared to be made of some sort of black metal, with a silver lining as an accent. Although not necessarily something that would be found in his own religious views, it was more appealing then the other ones that he had rummaged through. Joker nods approvingly to himself, before turning and beginning to walk back over to the white haired man that had been directing him. "Before you go.. Grab a glove from the box to your right. May as well just start you off with a bit of difficulty. The foundational aspects will assist you in your growth for the future." He says as he gestures once again, taking note of the Quincy Cross that Joker had just selected. Joker soon rummages through this new box until he comes across a glove that had a similar aesthetic styling to the Quincy Cross he had chosen, taking both he begins to walk back towards the white haired man and stops, as he sees the man standing up and heading to the other side of the room where the targets were. "My name is Ryuken Ishida.. I both run this Hospital, and train the new generation of Quincy as they come to learn about their abilities. In your hand is a Quincy Cross.. The basic tool that will become a focus point for the generation of your basic spirit weapon. As well as a Sanrei Glove, although normally they had been the standard blue and white. I can see that some other colors of them have been mixed in over time. That glove causes you to have a more difficult time drawing in spirit particles which is normally a bad way to start for a beginner. But should you learn how, you will be able to strengthen your abilities and greatly improve your strength. So put that on and attach this to the cross. Then we will get started." He says finally, throwing a simple silver chain Joker's way and then turning to face the targets before them. Joker listens carefully to what Ryuken was saying before immediately throwing the glove on his hand and attacking the chain to his new Quincy Cross. His single gray eye looking to where Ryuken held his cross before repeating the same concept for himself. Wrapping the chain around the glove on his right hand and then then grabbing hold of the entire cross in his hand as he walked forwards to stand beside Ryuken. The white haired man looks at him with his narrow blue eyes, taking note of how he held the cross and the glove's position as he raises an eyebrow slightly. He then brings his arm upwards, a silver glowing bow forming from either side of his palm and extending out in front of him. His other hand raising up and grabbing onto a string that was first invisible, before the arrow formed and he drew the entire thing back and then released the bow to launch the arrow at the target before them. Joker watched carefully at all the actions that Ryuken took before launching the arrow, his eye widening slightly as he observes the man shoot his spiritual arrow and hit almost a perfect bullseye on the target. Ryuken soon steps back, and then makes a motion for Joker to do his own attempt.
Joker soon takes a step forward as he raises his own Quincy Cross up before him and then begins to focus on forming a bow around his palm. The more he focuses, the more it appeared that nothing was going to happen though. He simply stood there, with his arm extended before him and a look of frustration creeping across his face. "I do not get it.. I know the glove is supposed to make it harder, but I don't seem to have even the slightest bit of anything happening. Did I choose the wrong cross or something?" He asks, as he drops his arm to his side and causes the cross to dangle from his wrist. His gray eye snapping to look at Ryuken as a defeated expression begins to come across his facial features. The white haired man chuckles as he adjusts the sleeve of his gray suit and looks at Joker through the thin frames of the glasses he wore. "You simply need to try harder. Do not focus on creating a bow, simply push your spiritual power into the Quincy Cross, and allow the cross to take the shape that it is meant to be. Not every weapon comes out identical to the one before it." He says as he chuckles calmly and makes a motion for Joker to try once again. Joker nods slowly as he raises his arm back up and begins this new approach that his teacher had recommended for him. Closing his eyes for a moment, Joker focuses on simply pushing his spiritual power into the cross itself, not trying to make it form a shape or anything of the like. With his eyes closed, he was not even sure if he was going to be able to pull this concept off or not. Yet he was willing to give it a try and hope for the best result. The man beside him nods slowly as he speaks once again. "Good. It looks like you have gotten the hang of that pretty easily. Which is surprising. Perhaps you have a gift, or some untold potential. Especially with a weapon appearing in that sort of form..." Ryuken says, as Joker opens his eyes in order to view the bow that hard formed in his hands. "Wait. What? This is not a bow!" Joker exclaims as he looks at the strange silver gun in his hand. It appeared to be similar to a fifty caliber hand gun, with an ivory hilt that had the same cross he had chosen embedded in the sides. Under the barrel was a curved section that appeared to be a blade, but without the needed edge that one would normally have. Joker looked at this new weapon almost fondly. He did not really want to have to use a bow, so this sort of scenario seemed better for him in the long run anyway. After gazing at the weapon for a while, he straightened his arm once again and slowly squeezed the trigger that his finger seemed to rest almost naturally on. The gun itself immediately firing and sending his forearm shooting backwards as the bullet of energy shot out and barely nicked the side of the target he was aiming at. Joker sighed slightly, and then took aim with his new spiritual weapon once again before pulling the trigger. This time his shot hit the target spot on, although not directly in the middle like Ryuken had managed earlier. Even so, Joker nodded to himself with satisfaction before lowering his weapon and looking over at his new trainer to see what they thought. "So.. I get the glove and the cross now. What is the rest of this stuff all over the place?" He soon asks, as he gestures at the boxes of tubes and other such things that were laying around the room. "They are tools that the quincy use. Silver tubes and seele schneiders. They are used to conjure spells and magic specific to the the Quincy clans. Hopefully they can be suited to your weapon as well.. That would lead to a great advantage for you in any future conflicts with your enemies." Ryuken says as he walks back over to his desk and pulls two books out from a drawer before setting them on the desk. "If you wish to learn more, the information is here for you to learn. But for now, practice your aim and I would also recommend learning to more accurately draw and vanish your spiritual weapon." He says before taking a seat back down at the desk. Joker nods and then raises his weapon before him once again in order to take aim. He soon begins shooting at whatever speed felt most comfortable. Slowly walking at first, and then attempting to sprint back and forth as he took aim at all the targets in the room and attempted to hit them at varying movement speeds. This was both helping with his accuracy as well as allowing him to get used to generating spiritual power into the chamber of the gun in order to better assist in firing. After around about an hour of running back and forth, Joker sat down in a chair and began the act of conjuring his weapon over and over again until he could do it smoothly and without much thought. Eventually he did not have any trouble with this either as a grin formed across his lips. He stood up and walked over to take a look at the two books that were pointed out to him. Shifting through each page carefully and attempting to gather as much information as possible about the functions of these two objects. After a few more hours of reading in the room by himself, since Ryuken had exited for a little while due to an emergency in the hospital. Joker had come to understand the workings of quite a bit about these two objects. Especially to such a point as to allow him to possibly use them. He grabbed a Seele Schnieder from one of the boxes, summoned his gun into his hand, and placed the bayonet at the base of his weapon where the clip would normally be. The seele schnieder vanished immediately. He then whipped around, pointed the gun, and fired at one of the targets. The resulting explosion of spiritual pressure actually ripping a chunk of the target off as the chainsaw like bullet he fired struck the targets round surface. Joker grinned, he had basically learned anything he needed to here for the time being, so it was time for him to move on and head back to his temple. He could feel that something may be coming, that an Onmiyoji was needed for. Making his spiritual weapon vanish back into the cross hung on his wrist, Joker turns and begins heading out the doorway back into the actual hospital building once again. His single gray eye looking around a bit as the door behind him closed to become the plain old locked door once again. He rolls his shoulders and cracks his neck for a minute in order to get himself used to the motions of actually moving around once again since all he had been doing was shooting, before Joker heads up the staircase and off on his way out of the hospital and to his next destination. It was certainly an interesting turn of events that he had undergone by following the advice from that quincy that he had run in to. But now that all this was over for the time being, he needed to progress with his own strength once again and gain more power. After all, if he did not gain strength, how was he going to rid the evils of the world from those spiritual beings that were invading so constantly in the past. If any of them decided to return, he needed to be ready to purify and destroy them before they could spread any more harm to the world itself.

Homura enters the training area under the hospital. He thinks back to the earlier times he had been here.

Homura had sat down in front of the Quincy teacher. He was young, just starting out as a Quincy really. The Quincy held out a blue and white glove that Homura took from him.
“This is your Sanrei Glove. You have reached the point where we believe you are ready to learn to utilize this.”He had then spent a few hours drawing in and gathering energy, getting used to the restrictions the glove caused.

Homura comes out of the memory and looks around more. He continues to wait for the Quincy he had been told was coming to help before eventually returning to another memory.

Homura once again visited the same Quincy teacher. He was a few years older this time, but still fairly young. He had joined the Vandenreich now, and had returned to acquire the upgrade of his Sanrei Glove. He takes and attaches the pentacle on the back that turned it into a Pentacle Glove. He then spends a few hours getting used to the increase of power the new attachment granted.

Homura once again comes out of the memory and still doesn’t see the other Quincy. Perhaps he headed to the Falls instead of the Hospital. Homura heads out to see.
