Louis Farrakhan Urges Crowd to 'Kill Those Who Kill Us,' Calls for Retaliation in Speech at Baptist Church

Well, that was disturbing. wahmbulance

The only true Christian mentioned by name in that article was the guy who posted Romans 12:19-21 on facebook (Joshua Drew Smith).

Quote:
"This man is no man of God. He is a deceiver, a blasphemous false prophet who preaches the lies of Islam which denies the deity and Lordship of Christ. It is a damnable religion. Anything that comes forth out of this man's mouth should be rejected outright. His words are contrary to the word of God (Bible)," wrote Smith, who also included verses from Romans 12:19-21 that state: "Beloved, never avenge yourselves, but leave it to the wrath of God, for it is written, 'Vengeance is mine, I will repay, says the Lord.' … Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good."

Amen to that.

But the reverend mentioned in the article (Rev. Ralph M. Ross) is deceived. Is he suggesting that the sword Jesus told his disciples to carry was there to go seek vengeance if someone killed a fellow believer or a fellow Israelite?! "Self-defense" or "having a weapon to deter people from attacking you" does not mean "seek vengeance on someone else's death". Big difference.

And that Louis Farrakhan guy... sigh. Someone killing a fellow believer isn't even what he's infuriated about. He is making this a skin-color issue... /)_-' ...as if that is any basis to be yoked together at all. Why is he up in a Christian church when he belongs to the Nation of Islam? That tells me he's being dishonest, and is just using them as a means to an end. He doesn't believe Jesus is the Messiah, but that a guy named W.D. Fard 'Muhammad' is—and he's some random dude, not even their prophet Muhammad (lol). That "reverend" has no discernment for allowing Farrakhan to speak in his church.

      • 2 John 9-10 (NIV)

9 Anyone who runs ahead and does not continue in the teaching of Christ does not have God; whoever continues in the teaching has both the Father and the Son. 10 If anyone comes to you and does not bring this teaching, do not take them into your house or welcome them.

We have no business yoking ourselves to non-believers like that. neutral

Their teachings put the believer's life at risk (physically and spiritually) if they're not ousted for the anti-christ they are, but welcomed in as if they were in the truth too.

      • 1 John 2:22 (NIV)

22 Who is the liar? It is whoever denies that Jesus is the Christ. Such a person is the antichrist—denying the Father and the Son.
