CORE PERSONALITY The Baron is very much a straight-laced, upper crust sort of fellow. He is always very serious, and was willing to die after hurting the girl he admired. He is used to being snubbed, both by the lady of his affection and students alike. The man is usually found in the Astronomy Tower, clanking and moaning. It was one of his favorite places when he was human. When he's not floating about, he's trying to wrangle Peeves into a sort of submission. He is the only one capable of cajoling the hyperactive poltergeist, so he has to prevent Peeves from bringing about the school's destruction. He's also very good at this job.

LIFETIME The Baron was a Slytherin shortly after the school's founding. While there, he fell for a pretty girl named Helena Ravenclaw. A founder's daughter. Lord was she pretty. Several years after school, he was contracted by Rowena Ravenclaw to find Helena. Excited by the thought of seeing his unrequited love once more, he took up the job. He went to Albania, where he found his dear Helena. He did his best to convince her to return with him, but she rejected him once more. Finally enraged by her constant denial, he pulled out his sword and stabbed the woman to death.He was so terribly overcome with grief that he used the very same blade to end his own life.
POSTMORTEM Since the Baron died, he has been floating around the halls of Hogwarts. Somehow, he managed to have responsibility thrust over him and became the Slytherin's house ghost. He wears chains and blood stained clothes, forever to remember his crime against his love. Still to the day, he is denied from her, but he feels it is due punishment. Sometime after his death, the school discovered his ability to make Peeves stop his annoying actions, and thus another responsibility was thrust upon him; Peeves' babysitter. Which was stupid. He was far to old to handle a man-child... particularly one that had never been neither man, nor child.
