Sayael, for once, was in an entirely good mood. She'd found a fair bit of information about her brother and meeting him again was definitely on her to do list, but she was stuck on the how and the where. One had to plan these things of course, and it wasn't likely that she would just run across him randomly in the middle of the school.

The school, unfortunately, was too big for that.

Twisting her mouth in thought, the sugar faerie gave a large yawn as she stretched her muscles and slowed her pace, happy with just wandering outside in the grassy area. Her branches were beginning to show the first signs of flower petals, when formerly they'd shown leaves - it meant that she was growing, which was a good sign for both her branches and personal growth. Saya wasn't sure what else her fruits would yield, but given enough time she was certain that they'd do more than just heal creeple.

Granted, that's what her mother had said before, that she would be a healer, but... her mother had never healed, so how did she know? Didn't her mother want her to be just like her?

In her thoughts, Sayael stopped watching where she was going, becoming far too focused on the past.

Being oblivious to one's surroundings seemed to be a common trend today.

Treoris had only just managed to get settled into his new accommodations. It wasn't the where of things so much as the structure of his personal space that mattered to him. He'd spent the past few hours pulling various articles from home out of his trunk and artfully placing them in various places of honor throughout the room until he'd achieved the desired balance and zen that he required to continue with his day. The entire scheme might transition before he laid his head to rest this evening, but for now the compulsion had been sated.

In his rummaging, he discovered that his parents had sent him off with a farewell gift or two. A parcel of books wrapped in parchment and twine, and one of the rather grandiose paintings of one of the household's long-dead ancestors, one of their clan's founders, in full draconic form, wings outspread as fire spewed from his maw. It was a gorgeous piece, valuable and the oil-based paints on the canvas were vivid still, since of course, it had been taken meticulous care of - and it was currently the central focus of his bedroom, hanging directly opposite of the door, just above his bedposts.

It was the books, however, that held the lengthier fascination.

Tomes had to be hoarded in his house, if they were to go unread. There wasn't a single page that his family possessed that Treoris had left unturned...multiple times, if the vast array of bookmarks still tucked into pages (sometimes several within a single volume), were anything to tell by. So even though he was presumably touring the campus grounds, which had seemed a reasonable course of action, his ebon on gold eyes saw little but the words on the page in front of him.

In fact, so engrossed was he that he didn't realize he was about to have a collision until his book came into contact with Saya's shoulder....just a bit of a bump, but enough to jostle his place.

He looked up.

The dragon boil blinked slowly, only mild astonishment flitting across his features as he discovered the nature of his roadblock.

Well he wasn't sure what...there was a quick perusal of her, curiosity there and nothing more, ...ok, so ghoul...was. He had to admit he'd never seen anything quite like her before. Though he rather assumed that there was going to be a fair bit of that in the next few months.

"Oh."

And that was all he currently had to voice about this revelation.

Stopping to a halt with her branches swaying, a few petals fell to the ground as Sayael looked up with an eyebrow raised. Her diet had improved tenfold, making her fruits smell very enticing and ripe for the picking, but it would have been rather rude just to pluck one from her branches, now wouldn't it?

Stepping back, she brushed herself off very briefly before glancing over the dragon that graced her presence, eyeing him over dubiously. "Oh, my." He was quite a looker, with his blonde hair slightly messy, horns growing out of his head, and... oh, those massive wings that had claws on them.

She very much wanted to ask if those claws were prehensile. They would have so many uses.

Her eyes finally settled on his, rather surprising the faerie as she just stared. His eyes were the same as hers, save for the gold in them instead of purple like her own.

"Your eyes..." She breathed, wanting nothing more than to reach up and grasp his face with her gentle fingers, only to bring him closer and study him further.

Her response was a touch unprecedented.

The dragon canted his head to the side, brows furrowing slightly as he very reluctantly put a fingertip inside of his book to keep the place, allowing it to hang at his side instead of holding it in front of him in a position of priority. It looked as though now he was going to be forced to socialize in some fashion, though he did not loathe the idea overmuch. He was, after all, rather baffled by the manner of the lass that he'd just collided with.

Her question as to his claws were answered, as they flexed, curling inwards as though to echo his confusion. "Ah....yes?" The word came out slowly, but calmly, as Treoris was not the most easily flustered of creatures. Politely he met her own gaze, noting as she had that they were dark pools broken only by that splash of vivid color. They merely had a different color scheme.

Tilting his head back in the other direction, his chin lifted as he sniffed delicately, trying to discern if it was the ghoul that smelled so pleasant. "Have you always grown branches like this?"

He had questions. A lot of them.

He wasn't always subtle about it either.

"... yes." She smiled, showing all of her teeth as she turned to the side, letting him look at the branches from the trunk that was growing out of her back. More precisely, her spine. While she let him look, she reached up and adjusted her tiny crown that was so perfectly put in her hair, satisfied with the minor nudge.

"I'm a faerie." Dislodging a few loose petals from her branches, Sayael gave him another winning smile. "Where are you from?" In a polite manner, she walked around him and glanced over him with her curious eyes, tongue running over her teeth as she admired him in his entirety.

"Do they experience seasons?"

His next question followed quite swiftly after the first answer, and it was clear that he was taking mental notes about everything that those bright gold eyes were taking stock of. Suffice to say that she was...an oddity. And he had seen some particularly strange things. He should probably prepare himself for some curious sights at this school. Check. It was what he had come for, after all, knowledge, information, experience...and thus far he was not disappointed.

"Faerie." He repeated the racial designation carefully, knowing of it, but it was the first time he had ever experienced a being from this race up close and personal. Apparently they were exceptionally varied. It was odd that they even identified with one another, considering the scope of their nature. He had always thought so, but who was he to dictate racial ties?

"I'm from the village. You know...the one with the Miasma issue? There was a bit of a stir." He blithely assumed she would remember. Anyone at this school who knew anything would. That was how social structures worked...the 'hot news' tended to spread word of mouth if nothing else. "But a great many of our parents thought that the idea of a school was...beneficial. And I wanted to know what the professors had to teach." Whilst perhaps a touch dubious, a slight bit of enthusiasm bled out at that last...subtle, but definitely apparent.

"Which court do you hail from?" It was calm and understanding. He'd read every book he could get his hands on...and it had at least addressed the fae hierarchy.

She blinked, glancing to her branches. "Aye, but... they're a bit out of flux right now, since Oi came from a different land." At his mention of Miasma Village, she clasped her hands together and exclaimed, "Oh, aye! Oi helped there, and some of the villagers weren't so nice." Some of them had been downright snooty, which the faerie hadn't appreciated at all.

It was a trying time, but Sayael had to admit that she had enjoyed her time on the island, even as brief as it was.

Raising an eyebrow at the question of the court she was from, she forced a toothy smile and drug her traitorous mind away from that dangerous line of thoughts. "My, my... don't ye have to buy a woman dinner first before all the questions?" She coyly asked, placing a hand on her hip and cocking it while holding the other up to make a motion in the air with her finger.

“Most trees are not migratory.” Treo supposed that it made sense that they were confused then, but he was already trying to envision just what they might look like when taken over by the change from summer to fall. Clawed fingers itched, holding back the compulsion to pull up his sketchbook and begin to document the almost wing-like growth of branches that curled in a manner that seemed natural… in the most contradictory of ways.

He was not at all astonished by her impression of the villagers. “A lot of the people there are private. There are clans. And clan boundaries.” An easy shrug of the blond’s lean shoulders bespoke of precisely how little that view of his home bothered him. It had always suited the dragon just fine…until he’d learned most of the basic knowledge that one could accrue in such a small sector of the world.

When she went to tease him, mind, the ghoul’s jibe caused his brows to furrow, the boil’s great claws at the pinnacle of his wings clicking together softly. “I think I’m a bit too unfamiliar with my surroundings for lunch dates.’ That and he didn’t know the slightest bit about her, other than she was fae, and that her plant-based protrusions were a permanent part of her…which had seasons. The gold dragon didn’t, after all, leap at the chance to mingle with others…it was tedious. Creeple were far too difficult to get useful knowledge from in a standard social environment.

The proof was in the pudding so far as Sayael was concerned. Already she was blithely denying him real answers to questions…with that thought in his mind, Treoris sighed ever so softly.

"Then perhaps Oi could choose the location, whilst you buy me food? Do that, and oi'll answer any questions ye like." She was honest in that statement, and pressed a finger to her lips, studying him. He did seem like the type that would ask question after question, and she had to admit that she was a little parched and peckish.

He really intrigued her - no other had intrigued her this much since she'd attended Amityville. And... perhaps.. she could have a little fun with this one, since he was so vastly different than anyone else. He just needed a little push. Not too much, but just enough to keep things interesting. Saya admitted to herself that he was perfect just the way he was, and then quickly chased that thought away.

Realizing with horror that she hadn't even introduced herself, she gave a slight curtsy, bowing her head in apology. "Oi'm Sayael. You may call me Saya, if you please." The sugar faerie usually didn't show much respect to any others except demons, but this monster composed himself much like a demon, which made things rather unique. Mostly... interesting. Yes, she could enjoy this boil's companionship.
