INTERMEDIATE LEVEL CLASS:

NAME OF CLASS: Intermediate First Aid (must have passed beginner)
PROFESSOR NAME: Professor Cricket

Prerequisites:
- Must complete beginner first aid successfully
- Must be Y2 or higher!

General information: This goes into using another individuals FEAR to heal them – thus promoting their own system to fix it.

The healing dummies have returned! However, this time it seems like Nurse Cricket has done a little bit worse to them than she did before, some of them being cut into rather deeply, and others bearing strange discolorations. The only explanation she really gives is that she put her ‘touch’ on them.

Which you really don’t want to know much more about.

“There is FEAR in those dummies. What I’d like you to do with them is draw their FEAR to the surface to pull away the injury that has been given them. This is an effective way to heal without tiring yourself out.” From the way Cricket explained it, it sounded like this was what a lot of her job consisted of.

“What you need to do,” she begins to go into more detail on what she expects, “is clean the area of contact. Once you’ve done that, use your FEAR to pull at the FEAR of the dummy. If you’ve ever been healed by me, hold onto that feeling from when I make contact. They feel quite similar and you’ll find your balance from that.”

For those who hadn’t been healed by Cricket before…? WHELP. She wasn’t about to demo any further than that.

Mechanics:

Roll 1d4
This is your accuracy.

Now Roll 1d10 and match your result below - subtract your accuracy roll from your result. If your roll will take you underneath ‘1’, go to 10 and continue down from there.

Match your rolls

1. Perfect! You’ve forced the condition to remove itself!
2. Uh oh! You’ve gone a little bit too far and your ‘patient’ gets really ill!
3. You do OK. It takes a little while longer to fix, but your work is passable.
4. Your work is poor. Cricket won’t pass it.
5. You do OK. It takes a little while longer to fix, but your work is passable.
6. Your work is poor. Cricket won’t pass it.
7. You do OK. It takes a little while longer to fix, but your work is passable.
8. Your work is poor. Cricket won’t pass it.
9. Uh oh! You’ve gone a little bit too far and your ‘patient’ gets really ill!
10. Perfect! You’ve forced the condition to remove itself!

TO PASS: You must either get a ‘Perfect’ or an ‘OK’.

Bonus Mechanics:
None!

Another class to pass the time and what better class than one that would actually benefit him. Instead of one that involved hitting rats out of a cave on a stupid skateboard? Spinar, or Siku, rather as he was known in school slid into the first aid course and took a seat next to a rather bored looking slime ghoul. Tickled a little as his natural cold chill started to harder the goo nearest to him, even more so when she decided to move seats after a glare at him. A chuckle and he stretched out in the seat waiting for Nurse Cricket to explain exactly what they had to do.

Another fine reason he preferred in class, classes, the teacher actually bothered to tell them what the jack was going on. At least this was what he expected what he got however well....it left the demon sighing loudly in frustration which gained a rather harsh eye from the nurse.

While 'her touch' didn't tell the demon what he wanted it left the boil all the more curious about what exactly the Nurse was. The healing dummies were given a long look over, blue eyes noticing the ones that had been cut into rather deeply, and the others that had strange discolorations going on. He of course wanted to know more but wasn't about to ask and risk anything since the Academy didn't exactly seem to care about injuring students as he had noticed.

“There is FEAR in those dummies. What I’d like you to do with them is draw their FEAR to the surface to pull away the injury that has been given them. This is an effective way to heal without tiring yourself out.”
Spinar hand a chilly hand over his chin, listening as the Nurse went on. Curiosity further growing since this sounded like basically what he had seen of Cricket's own work. The demon having been a visitor of the Nurse a few times after spars. Mainly after being on the wrong side of a ghost and an ink dragon.

However focused he had been ended when a rather cute ghoul dropped into a spot next to him. Bringing more of the demons attention to flirting than listening. When they were instructed to get the dummies Spinar looked a little lost at the one with discoloration, trying to find the point of entrance or whatever he had barely caught from instruction. After a moment the demon tried to do as he saw the others doing, touching the dummy but failing miserably and well really not doing much of anything.

A sigh and failing grade later and he was ducking out before his failure became publicly known. Making note then to do less flirting next go around.

A few classes passed, one meeting with a rather feisty colorful ghoul later and Spinar was back at the door of the first aid class. A class he didn't particularly need but wanted. Class in questions more of a failure the demon didn't want looming over head, which meant today Spinar had every intention to pass. One way or another the determined frost demon wasn't about to leave without a pass and hopefully a new skill to use on the the battlefield. Not that fighting nor spars had ever really been his thing, but ToTing required him to be in the human world which meant being able to take care of himself and any unlucky partners along for the ride.

That in mind the demon strutted into the room, beaming with a pride that shined from sharp white teeth to sharply spiked white hair. When Cricket took notice of the strut into room via a snort and eye roll it made things all the more sweeter. Once more placing himself at a desk only this time bothering to listen as the nurse started to explain the dummies. When a ghoul sat next to him a sharp eye was given and Spinar grinned wider, tickled the nurse seemed to be warning him.

A gesture of surrender given and Spinar kept his gaze, will a flex of will, straight ahead. Listening and waiting for the moment when they could actually get something done. Again as Cricket spoke his curiosity grew to what exactly she was and had done to the dummies. He wanted to know damn it. Maybe there was someone else he could ask that would know? Since asking Cricket herself wasn't exactly looking like the best idea, or at least until after he passed this Jacking class. Then, then he might chance a question or two...or three.

Because damn those dummies looked terrible and why not? Was it really so bad to know...

When the time came to pick out dummies Spinar picked up the one with a rather deep cut, not about to go for discoloration again. A sit of the think on his table and he focused, inhaling deeply before beginning. A moment to recall what had been said and the demon started to clean the area of contact, which was obviously the large cut across the dummies chest. A run to get supplies and Spinar started to clean carefully paying close attention to the dummy and not those around him for once.

As soon as the cut was cleaned he made quick work of putting the supplies back and throwing those used away. A slow walk back to the table he was working at and the demon looked over the dummy. Trying to recall how it felt when Cricket had healed him as she had said. Trying to get that feeling back and hold it before moving to place his hands over the cut. The so called balance she spoke of hadn't been felt yet but as soon as he started to release some FEAR out trying to coax the FEAR in dummy out. When he did something sparked.

While 'balance' might not have been the word he would have used for the feeling something was familiar and helping him. The determination for finishing the stupid class, getting his passing grade and being one step closer to ToTing helped the demon. A few moments into the pull and it was nearly all out. The dummy seemed to start to heal itself as what FEAR had been implanted into it started to come out via Spinar's own FEARS pull. The feeling was much less tiring than the few times Spinar had actually tried to use his healing abilities. As the FEAR came to the very surface the demon grinned widely and peered up for a split second to the nurse, annoyed she wasn't watching how fantastic he was in the moment.

A slide back and Spinar watched as the dummy started to heal more, the FEAR now gone and his own cut off from coaxing. He had done it and just as he was about to look up and inform the Nurse she was there. On him and looking over the dummy with a critical eye. Moments of silence, nods, hums and clicks of tongue came before finally the announcement that he had passed. And whats more with a perfect grade. Spinar chuckled and stretched his hands above his head to bask for a moment in the praise. Then he ran, ran like the wind to get the Jack out of the class. And maybe to post on a few social sites about just how cool he was now, and a text a few friends to gloat because come on they were never going to be as amazing as him.

None of them even stood a chance. (486 words)
