General Information:

Professor Selene has chosen you to come to the human world and help her make a few things right. There seems to be an epidemic of missing Halloween candy, and the human children are in need of your help! It's time to try and make some Halloween magic!

Mechanics:

Part One: Costumes

You might have already made a costume in Selene's Costume class, but even if you didn't, you can find something! How great your costume is will affect your rolls in part three. If you did not do the open class, you may simply choose what they end up wearing! As long as it is not too frightening.

  • 1-2: Scary! Too scary! No one is going to let you near their house wearing that! (1d cool
    
  • 3-5: Three children nearby are already wearing the costume you are. At least you'll fit in.. (1d10)
    
  • 6: What an original, fantastic costume! You have a real knack for creativity! (1d12)
    
• In brackets you will notice a dice value - this will be how much candy you manage to place in bowls, in part three!
  
• Once you have your costume, you may go ahead to part two!
  

PART TWO
You have your costume. You're safely in the human world with Selene, in a town whose name you did not bother to pay attention to. The streets are lined with charming little houses, all lit up and bearing candy buckets just outside of the door. The children will be here soon to find them empty - their little hearts will be broken! We have to fill these buckets without being noticed! It's time to make some magic!

  • 1: How sad, this giant cauldron's completely empty, it's going to take a lot of work filling it back up again! (Candy: 0/100)
    
  • 2: This brick house has a small goblin shaped bowl with two Werther's in it. Pathetic. (Candy: 2/20)
    
  • 3: A Typical glass bowl with a few pieces still remaining. (Candy: 4/40)
    
  • 4: Instead of a bucket, a little child is holding their basket up to you. It seems they've figured out what you're doing... (Candy:8/20)
    
  • 5: There's a party going on inside this house! They probably had candy inside, but the bucket looks empty. Maybe if you start them off? (Candy: 0/80 - every time you put 20 candy in, someone comes from inside to match your 20 candy with 20 of their own.)
    
  • 6: A Typical plastic bowl with a few pieces still remaining. (Candy: 5/40)
    
  • 7: The lights are off in front of this house, but the bucket is still there, and still empty! (Candy: 0/40)
    
  • 8: A gorgeous house with a giant bucket filled with candy - apparently, this one has a good security system. No one's been stealing too much here. (Candy: 95/100)
    
• Each house has a Candy Value. Your job will be to fill those buckets, but careful not to be noticed, someone might think you're stealing from them!
  
• Once you have your house, you may go ahead to part three!
  

PART THREE
You have chosen the household to help. Now it's time to do your best!

• Your 'attack dice' - meaning how much candy you manage to grab in one handful - depends on your roll in part one.
  
• Part three acts like the opposite of a battle. You're adding, not subtracting to the total!
  
• Example: I rolled a 5 in part one, and a 6 in part 2. This means my house's bucket has room for 35 more pieces of candy. I have to roll a 1d10 until I score a total of 35 or more.
  
• You can only roll one dice per post. Don't forget to RP your student trying to stay out of sight!
  
• If you fill the bucket, get out of there quickly and return to Selene! Congratulations, you helped save Halloween!

So, apparently, somehow, Danirate was now part-taking in another field trip. And it entailed wearing a costume. He found it a bit interesting that humans took the time to mimic what they unfortunately are not. But being that part of the assignment at present was to dress to blend in during this human occasion, he decidedly opted to be nothing else because he already was a vampire and gladly so. He looked around the current gathering he was amidst and saw others who opted to be vampires despite not being authentic like he was. But he would give them some credit for having good taste in what sort of wishful thinking they wanted to indulge in.

It was perhaps the easy grin Danirate steadily wore with nearly always minimal faltering that could be credited with why he seldom had altercations with professors, fellow students, and so forth. It did fairly well at masking more accurate states of the vampire boil such as boredom, irritation, and so on.

So, they were supposed to fill bowls with candy. His thoughts did not delve deeper into considerations of rationale past this point and simply looked around before his gaze settled on a chosen house.

Then he was addressed by a fellow student who had also received the same assignment. "I'm Danirate. Happy Halloween, Keen," with a nod he gave his reply and greeting in mimicking the ecstatic cries around him of human children at each other, He copied the two-word salutation in a minuscule attempt to blend in as instructed, yet there was the possible question of whether how deadpan he went about its delivery compared to the screams of it by other festive individuals zooming about the area might have given away how out of place he was even in the slightest.

Danirate had his gaze fixed forward at the house he was going to tackle as he spoke the first word of his response to Keen before then looking at the surroundings as he continued to speak. "Yeah," Danirate kept the words of his reply calmly said as though conversationally to Keen vague and added extra phrases so perhaps if anyone else was listening in then they would think what is spoken was not uncommon to the circumstances given the exclamations and excited chatter going on every which way at this place, "there is a lot of energy and activity all around as I expected."

In the event that he finishes filling the candy bowl of the house before him early, he would save any spare candy he ends up with in case it may speed their mission up later to see if Keen may be aided with them if she might be in the process of filling the candy bowl of the house she is soon to be tackling at the time he has a look at how she is faring while on this mission they currently were dealing with.

Now the question was how he will choose to go about filling that candy bowl stealthily. Then an idea went through his mind. While another group of kids ran by, he tossed some pieces of candy at the target while amidst the bustling group of zealous humans. He hit his target as intended and none of the humans had noticed according to his observations of them and any possible reactions from his peripheral vision. If anyone interpreted his actions of being in front of the house as gathering his wits and shaking off nervousness to ask for candy like others were, he was unperturbed by any such interpretations which further serve his intentions to remain out of any suspicions or accusations. He was of the mind that there was no need to change his present bearing. The crowds passing this way and that can be his cover to fulfill his purpose and he thought it may even be quite amusing if any unsuspecting human was questioned mistakenly for sending candy projectiles flying instead of him being troubled with pointless complications.

Danirate repeated the same strategic play of using a crowd of passersby in front of the house as cover as he tossed a few more pieces of candy at the rest of them in a bowl. With them landing successfully where his aim directed, he deemed one more would suffice and then he could have a look at the state of the candy bowl Keen had gone to focus on.

It didn't take long before another group of humans went by and Danirate utilized this opportunity to use this set of people as cover as well as he sent another toss of candy at his target. Then he made his way towards the house keen was working on as though he was just passing through.

Keen had nearly finished adding candy to the house's candy bowl according to Danirate's use of his peripheral vision again. As he was walking by, what appeared to be a stampede of humans of various heights was headed his way in the opposite direction he was walking. He divided his attention between the candy bowl and the oncoming humans. Then as he was dodging between said humans, he sent candy flying at the bowl Keen had been adding to with an aimed subtle toss.

"It is somewhat interesting to be here where there is so much hype about candy," Danirate's grin widened a fraction as he began to give his response. "You had your hands full but managed well throughout, Keen," the vampire boil went on as he replied. Admittedly, it hadn't crossed his mind if she remembered that he introduced himself earlier.

"I assume she's waiting for us," Danirate gave a nod again.
