Name of Class: Your Very Own Halloween Costume!
Professor name: Professor Selene Apophis

General Information: This class is open to Amityville students as well as Horsemen!

Professor Selene has collected far too much memorabilia from her trips to the human world, especially during Halloween. She wants to put some of her collection to good use, by helping out anyone who wants to make an appropriate costume for the all too important Trick or Treating that occurs every Halloween in the human world! You get to keep what you put together here - you may even get to use her costume in her Halloween Helpers Field Trip or one of the Horseman's Trick-or-Treating (Treat only) mission, should you want to!

Mechanics:

Part One: Picking outfit pieces

There's boxes lined up all in a row, all of which are filled with colorful pieces of costumes from days gone by. You're allowed to pick out four pieces to make a costume, so make it count!

Roll 4d12. If you don't like the pieces you rolled in this option, you are allowed to try again one time! Matching pieces will give you more points!

As you can see, 1/2/3 is a match, 4/5/6 is a match, as is 7/8, 9/10, and 11/12. If you manage to match two pieces of an outfit, you get +2 to your final total. If you manage 3 pieces, you get +4 to your final total! If NONE of your pieces match, you get +1 added to your total for originality. Remember you are allowed to roll again if you don't like your first find, but you must roleplay both posts out (minimum 100 words each), and you can choose whichever of the two you like best!

Part Two:

Putting together your costume:

It's time to show Selene what you've chosen! Put the costume on and try to explain to her what you are, even if your pieces mismatch. Are you a pirate fairy? A Skeletal Pumpkin? That's horrifying! You must tell her a story (minimum 200 words) about the character you've created. You can even give it a name, a backstory, and a goal in life! Make it interesting, Selene loves to be enchanted with a good story!

Roll 1d6 with your explanation post. Add the total of this dice, to the points you made in part one. Match your total to the fields below!

Totals:
1-2: Selene is so disappointed in your lack of attention to detail. She doesn't even know if she should let you keep the costume you made.. you clearly don't care about it! (Fail)
3-4: Is.. is your professor about to cry? She looks like she's about to cry.. maybe you should have taken your work more seriously.. (Fail)
5-6: Selene says nothing, but puts a green star sticker on your forehead. For Effort! (Pass)
7-8: Well done! Selene is so enchanted by your story, that she's lost track of what she was doing. Oh, that's right! Giving you an A! (Pass)
9-10: Is.. is your professor about to cry? She looks like she's about to cry.. did you do something wrong? Was your costume not good enough? No, she's just.. so.. proud.. *SNIFF* (Pass)

YOU LOSE/FINISH THIS CLASS WHEN…

You complete the class, whether you pass or fail. You get +1 rp point for completing, and another +1 point if you managed to go over 800 words.

Should you pass, you will get a bonus to the Horseman Trick or Treating (TREAT) EM, or Selene's Halloween Helpers Mission! You also get this neat-o special ability:

Visiting home had been nice, but Bren had no intention of staying through the holiday. He had left several experiments half finished back at school, and his sister deserved alone time with their parents anyway. He had always felt like the only person in all of Halloween around this time of year, and a lot of that had to do with the special attention they had bestowed on him as a child. It would be nice for Tana to have the same.

Upon returning to Amityville, the boil had hurried off to his dorm, expecting to find everything just as he had left it, but rarely was the boil's life predictable and this time was no different. His room and everything in it was covered in a fine sheen of ice. Not only that, but when he stepped through the door, his right foot sank into the vat that had been resting peacefully on the bathroom floor when he had left. Bren had been making a deep freeze balm, and he was about to be the first to see if it worked.

After fifteen minutes of uncontrollable shivering, the boil decided he would probably be better off outside, moving around. The chill of winter had yet to hit, and though there was an autumnal bite to the air, it was nothing compared to how cold he was. Brenley circled the campus, finally ending up outside of Professor Selene's class. He normally wouldn't have stopped, but it was the only room that appeared to be occupied at the moment, and he hoped that conversation would distract him from his shivering.

As it turned out, the teacher had no conversation for him, just a number of boxes filled with various bits and pieces of costumes. He was allowed four of them, but at first glance, he could see nothing that matched. Luckily, being warm didn't require him to match. Bren picked out three of the thickest, most cumbersome outfits, his quaking only stopping when he also slapped on a hat.

Although he'd only had minimal contact with Professor Selene, based on the actions of his classmates, Bren could guess what was expected of him next. He was meant to tell a story of the horrible monstrosity he had become, and he doubted she would accept "he was a guy who was really, really cold." He waited for the boil before him to finish his tale of pirate fairies, then hesitantly launched into a disjointed mess of a tale that was only interrupted by the occasional shiver.

"Once upon a time there was a skeleton. Not an alive one, like an undead, but a plastic one that people keep around to study. And that skeleton was very hungry. His name was Tony, and he was one of the only skeletons who craved dustbunny burgers, even though he wasn't alive. Every night, the wizard left Tony alone in his lab while he went home to his wife and scarelings, and Tony was jealous. He was so jealous that he became psychic. Tony would have been the most famous non-living plastic hungry skeleton in all of Halloween, but that night, the night he became psychic, Tony called to the nearest pumpkin and convinced it to get close enough so he could eat it. It was no dustbunny burger, but the pumpkin allowed Tony to get enough FEAR to be able to move. Tony knew what he had to do. The psychic skeleton pumpkin left the lab and roamed the streets that night, terrorizing entire neighborhoods with his pulpy body and plastic limbs. Finally, moments before he was about to give up, Tony found the wizard's house. He slipped down through the chimney, consumed the wizard, and lived happily ever after, posing as his one-time owner for the rest of existence."

Brenley held completely still as Selene affixed a sticker to his forehead, then the reaper ducked out of the room, finally warm.
