This was Thorsten’s last class of the week and it was with the fifth years. They had there OWLs to study for this year and he hoped to prepare them for it. Though ghoul and ghost studies, wasn’t exactly a hard subject theory wise it was when you had to deal with ghouls that it became more complex. Not that Thorsten was worried about that. He just hoped that they would continue the class next year.
Sitting at his desk as his students arrived, Thorsten hardly showed any expression as he looked to see theirs. Getting up and going to the front of his desk he leaned up against it before flicking his wand to the board revealing the subject topic on the board. “Good afternoon and welcome back to ghoul and ghost studies. I hope you enjoyed your summers.” Thorsten greeted before reminding them of their upcoming test at the end of the year. “Reminder, you have O.W.L testing this year. So we will be preparing for that through the year.”
“Now, let us review so I know what to focus on later, one topic each please.” Thorsten asked of them before adding. “Once that is done we will continue into new material.”

Getting up and going to the front of his desk he leaned up against it before flicking his wand to the board revealing the subject topic on the board. “Since we ran out of time last class, today we will be discussing ghouls.” Standing up from his leaning option at the front of his desk, the German wizard flicked his wand at the board once more. The board wiping clean and a piece of chalk started writing the notes for the lesson. “I suggest taking notes down from the board.” He gestured before continuing on.
“Ghouls resemble a slimy ogre with buck teeth. They are not so much dangerous but they can be a nuisance. They find their homes in attics or barns of wizarding families. I too had a ghoul at a time, noisy creatures. They mostly groan and throw objects, which makes them rather dimwitted. However, great taking care of pests, as that’s what they eat.” Thorsten told them as he walked around the room. “They resemble a slimy ogre with buck teeth. They have the ghoul task force there in the regulation and control department. Their job is to remove unwanted ghouls from houses.” He finished as he made his way back to the front of the classroom.
Turning back around to face his students, Thorsten decided to mention a different type of ghoul. “There are also varieties of ghouls. One in particular, the Chameleon Ghoul can disguise itself into everyday objects. Thus avoiding detection… Now any questions?” He asked before looking up at the clock. “If not then you are dismissed.”

Faina Patrovna Slytherin Prefect │ Fifth Year │ Fifteen Years Old │ Single Dueling Club Captain
Faina found it rather ironic how her Ghost and Ghouls class was held right before her Healing Arts class, somehow death before life didn't quite make sense, but then that was the way of her sense of humour. "Guten Tag, Professor Eckstein. Hast du deine Sommerpause genossen?" she asked him cheerfully, as she arrived for class. This was one of the classes she genuinely liked, and she enjoyed listening to the professor's lectures.
Once class got underway, and the review of last year's material began, the Fifth Year raised her hand, waited to be acknowledged, and offered, "We discussed the differences between ghosts and poltergeists."

Professor Thorsten Eckstein Pureblood ☨ Professor of Ghoul and Ghost Studies☨Former Durmstrang, Keltainen
"Ja ich tat es, ich hoffe du hast es auch getan." (Yes I did, I hope you did as well.) Thorsten replied to Faina before class began. Listening to his students it looked like they paying attention and at least recalled some information. It was a good base for all the review he was going to do come the end of the year. “Nice to see you remember previous topics, 10 points to each of you.” He said before going on to what the lesson would be. “For the rest of our time we will be discussing ghouls.” Standing up from his leaning option at the front of his desk, the German wizard flicked his wand at the board once more. The board wiping clean and a piece of chalk started writing the notes for the lesson. “I suggest taking notes down from the board.” He gestured before continuing on.

As the class got underway, Faina started taking down her usual careful notes, entering them into her notebook in her neat, precise handwriting. As she worked, she left herself space in her notes to add a sketch at a later time, as now was not the time to try doing what might be seen as a doodle. The fact there were varieties of ghouls was interesting, she made a mental note to herself to try getting additional source material to see what other types there were. When the professor asked for questions, Faina was ready to offer some to get the ball rolling. Raising her hand, she asked, "How do Chameleon Ghouls disguise themselves, professor? Do they physically change their shape and colouration, or do they use some sort of magical effect? Also, what does the Ministry do with the unwanted ghouls after they remove them? Are they adopted out or something?"

New Year 2042 - 2043
Reminders...
* Students must attend a minimum of half the lessons for the year or face losing house points.
Unless reason is given either in the absent thread or through private message. If so it will count as if you were present for that class lesson.

So take a little trip down the road and see What you’re gonna find, who you want to be But you might have to pick between these three
Reviewing for the OWLs was surely a good thing, but Maura didn't really enjoy the reviewing part. Despite seeing the merit behind the actions. So almost begrudgingly the girl began going over previous work to get prepared for the OWLs. "Speech goes here"
Rock, paper, scissors Which one is, it’s your decision And no matter what you choose You’re gonna live it Rock, paper, scissors
