______ Skirting easily through the exam, he would have all but passed with flying colors if the pronunciation and wandwork of his final spell hadn't been a little bit off, making it weak, which knocked him down a score.
✘ Defense Against the Dark Arts - O
______ His random appearances at the dueling club helped to hone his counter and timing reflexes, which he used to his advantage. But it was his quirky sense of humor and hyena cackle of a laugh that allowed him to easily and quickly triumph over the boggart.
✘ Herbology - O
______ Nimble and hardworking, Axel managed to wriggle his away unscathed through the snargaluff. His long, lithe limbs were able to dodge and weave through the vines to swift swipe up a pair of pulsating pods, more than enough to fill up the bowls once he'd successfully cracked them open.
✘ Care of Magical Creatures - O
______ He'd been around creatures all his life, and his step-mother was a magizoologist, which made it easier for him to know what to look for right off the back. He jotted down keen observations of all four animals and approached the hippogriff and phoenix with positive reactions from each.
✘ Ghost and Ghoul Studies - A
______ Catching the ghoul had been easy for him, but finding it was the tricky part. Hundreds of hiding places in the classroom, and the ghoul had camouflaged itself well. All it took was a few repetitive uses of the ghoul finder charm before it attempted to launch itself at Axel until it was quickly subdued.

______ Axel studied long and hard for this exam; he passed everything easily but couldn't successfully cast one of the spells on his first try. He managed it on the second, though.
✘ Wandless Magic Practice - A
______ Having practiced plenty at the dueling club and with his step-sister, Axel was prepared for the wandless duel. He managed to block and counter most of the spells but tripped up when struck with a silencio charm. He managed to recover in the second round but not without taking a second hit first. Minutes later he managed to subdue the tester with a full body bind curse.
