NAME OF CLASS: First Aid 101
PROFESSOR NAME: Professor Cricket

General information: A general overview on basic illnesses a student might run into, as well as symptoms and quick fixes to things like breaks and deep cuts while on the go!

Each student is given a dummy to work on, though they may choose to partner up in fixing it.

Mechanics:
Roll 1 20-sided dice, what you roll is what your student gets to work with...

Dice Rolls and What they Mean!
1-4 - Broken Bone
4-8 - Fever
9-12 - Heat Stroke
13-16 - Hypothermia
17-20 - Lack of Bodily Function (such as breathing, pulse, etc) - this is unnaturally so.

After this, please roll 4, 4-sided Dice. Take into account their total and any repeating numbers

Total Results and their Meaning

1-6 - You do a rather poor job patching up your dummy, you might not want to try and heal anybody anytime soon!
7-12 - You do an average job, nothing extraordinary, but passable!
12-16 - Extra good work! Your student can now heal surface wounds!, but not repair HP! This means things like cuts and bleeding that might hinder another character can be patched up!

What Repeating Numbers Mean

No Repeating Numbers - You used just the right amount of supplies, good for you! Not wasteful at all.
Repeating 1s or 2s - You didn't use enough supplies, that's rather lazy and Cricket obviously disapproves of it.
Repeating 3s or 4s - You used too many supplies and that's wasteful! Naughty! Cricket might make you earn your supply rights back in a future class!

If you work as a group, split up the dice between yourselves as evenly as possible. So if you're paired up, each person rolls a 10 sided dice and you add up the results to get your dummy!

Then you split up your 4 sided dice to work on fixing it up!

Bonus Mechanics:
For every 3 times you attempt this course, your student may add +1 to their 4d4 dice roll's total to improve how well they patched up the dummy.

YOU LOSE/FINISH THIS CLASS WHEN...

- You are finished rolling both sets of dice and rping out the results. That means you have to START OVER to try again! You may do so in the same thread or a new one if you decide to attempt again at a later date.

13-16 - Hypothermia

First aid. A very, very important skill that any individual would need. Who knew the next time were to hurt themselves or needed to dress a wound of sorts? It is quite possible. Plus, it was a class. And she was a student. With that logical reasoning, she had attended Cricket's First Aid 101 Class with genuine curiosity and focus. She stood at her table beside the dummy. Some students had others with them, but she was alone. That was fine. She could handle this on her own... right?

Standing before her dummy, she looked at the task ailment that afflicted it.

"Hypothermia." She mouthed. Hypo meant below. Thermia meant heat. Below heat. The dummy's internal heat source was lower than what it should be. If she had recalled correctly, individuals needed to have certain internal core temperatures to operate correctly, otherwise, shut down on itself. This poses risks such as lack of oxygen and bursting of blood. Granted, some individuals didn't have to worry about that. So how was she suppose to deal with this?

The ghoul looked down at her work when the class was called. She didn't do enough. The dummy's temperature was still low. The towel she had used to assist in warming it didn't do much. Perhaps... she may need a second class.

4-8 - Fever

Second attempt, she came in with determination to do her best. Do better than last time. She picked up the card that told her the dummy was stricken with a fever. As such, its head ran hot. Good, that made sense. A fever is a body's auto-immune response to an infection of some sort. It is doing it's work itself, but... she had to help keep the body in working condition. Run too hot, too exhausted, it could end up poorly.

While she may have used not enough, it was fine. Passable even. But not the best she could muster. There is only so much one can do for someone fighting a fever other than make them as comfortable as possible.

[ passable ]

13-16 - Hypothermia

Brenna came back for a third time. Perhaps it is a little masochistic, but she was actually enjoying the class. It made the ghoul think about the patient. It made her think, dive into her knowledge, reason this method and that method and assess the situation. She stood before her dummy and read the ailment. Hypothermia. Good, she knew the symptoms, she knew some of the helpful recovery processes.

She knew the symptoms. She knew what she had needed. She wasn't going to make the same mistake as last time. Brenna had gathered her items and brought them back to the table. She had to warm the body. It was important to warm the core - first and foremost. If she had tried to warm the extremities, it would have lead the cold to rush back toward the core and shock the system. She did not want that. She needed to warm the body. Hot towels after hot towels, she kept the body as hot as she could.

Professor Cricket was quite stern with her afterwards with using so many of her towels... Oops.
