It was a long swim, having to be careful not to hit any of the jagged rocks that would potentially hurt anyone. Nonetheless, the potion did work wonders for both of them, as the path had to be slow and steady, and only the outside view of the entrance was the guide. After around an hour or two, Cassie finally surfaced onto the clearing, noticing the stalagmites and stalactites that formed throughout the cave. She heaved herself up slowly, her bare feet touching the cool surface, and she stretched her arms to release the tension. She needed a reprieve from having to use her muscles to work her way through this area.

Her eyes were then set on the gorgeous crystals, shimmering slightly. There were actually lots forming around the cave thanks to scientific reasons, and science did work wonders due to certain cases. Feeling his hand grasping hers, she could feel the warmth of his skin; a slight contrast to her own. "God, this looks amazing. This is no myth after all!" she exclaimed, definitely in awe at the sight. She nodded at the prospect of discovery and approached a bit closer to one section of the crystals. Maybe she could take one chunk off home as a souvenir, as long as it would be small enough to keep it safe into her room.

"Definitely worthy for an article or for social media. Although... it is best that such landmark must be preserved. Don't you agree?" she asked, but also, her hand brushed the surface of the wall as she continued walking, only to notice some carvings. Alarmed, she called out to him. "Hey! Come here! Check this out!"

Lysander couldn't remember most of yesterday. The blonde let go of a few spurts of air, watching the bubbles fade around him as he made his way towards these underwater caves he had heard about. While under the water, his lung capacity just a bit better than the average human, but not by enough to be staggering, allowed him to think on the previous day. He wasn't hurting for air, but he could feel the beginnings of the burn. He had been drunk most of the day and didn't even remember going out...Or he wouldn't have if the vague glimpses of pulsating lights didn't flash through his mind. As he navigated his way through the water towards his destination, he felt as though he was trying to do the same thing in his mind. Of course, he wasn't really up for thinking about it, but he wanted to make sure he hadn't done anything life altering! For a famous business man like him, scandals make or break you. Was he new to the press around such lies? No. Did he want them though, of course not! It was for these simple facts that he enjoyed coming to this coastal city. Plus, no one knew him here anymore. With Lillian gone, the only ones who knew about him were his niece and Tyrese, which he tended to keep his distance from for both of the grown men's sanity.

Lysander broke through the surface of the water with a gasp for air. Blonde hair clung to his face as his lungs began to fill with what air had left them during his swim. It wasn't often he took such a long dive, being so busy, but it had been known to happen. With his ruby eyes shifting around at the caves around him, he casually swam to shore. The glittering of the stones off the waters reflection was mystical! Never in his life had he seen such beauty, and that was saying something! Pulling himself out of the water, the thick muscled man ran his fingers through his hair to push the wet locks out of his face. He was the type, though large and imposing, his rippling muscles were well hidden under his skin. They could be seen, but not as much as someone that worked out to the point of intentionally showing them off. Just enough to know they were there. A balance, healthy but not rock hard. Muscle heads weren't his thing anyways. Plus, he had to make sure he looked damn good in a suit; which he most definitely did.

Taking a few more seconds to look around while he stood on his feet, Lysander huffed out a big breath of air, only to suck in just as much. His lungs were still filling with air. Turning back towards the water, he chose a spot along the embankment to sit and dangle his feet in the water. He hadn't seen any predators on his way in, so he didn't feel uncomfortable letting his fresh meat hang alone. With the light coming from the crystals in the walls, he felt sure he'd be able to see any shadows in the water anyways. This place has such clear water you could practically see everything without diving in gear. Leaning back onto his hands, the blonde stared up at the ceiling with a dazed look, just letting himself forget about his troubles and zone out.

Tyrese had made this place out to be the next wonder of the world, and he wasn’t exactly wrong. While Carmen wished, and waited, for the chance to come here with Felix...well, she had waited long enough. Felix wasnt coming back. What made her sibling not exactly wrong about this place, besides the fact he got to be here with his significant other, was the absence of certain peculiar details. The man had never mentioned formations- of- whatever they were- or had been- and she wasn’t talking about the stalagmites. Tyrese had been very in-depth about how to get to the caves, in-depth about the entire experience, and yet hadnt mentioned those. Reviewing the photos on her phone, this place would have been everything he made it out to be...if she hadnt gotten lost. Yeah, Carmen, THAT’S what you do; go into a complex system of underwater caves and dont mark your way back. Its not as if the scent is so saturated with salt and clams that you can’t smell your way back. Genius. She was angry with herself, kinda angry at the whole world, actually. Her lips pressed forward in a pout, eyes half downcast in preparation to give up. Things didnt look the same coming back as they did going forward. But whatever, she would jump into the first open cavern of water and find her way back up! She had two hours left of her breath of bubbles, that had to be enough. Hopefully.

Carmen slipped her phone into her netted bag, watchung it clink onto the pile of textured shells she’d collected from the sea floor before reaching the drop off. Why pay twenty bucks for a conch shell when you lived right next to the beach? That was the question that sparked Tyrese into blabbing about the caves. These stupid effing-beautiful caves she was going to probably die in. Maybe she could survive on drift wood and unsuspecting crabs. Would it be too dangerous to try climbing one of the waterfalls, seeing where it led? Dry and slightly cold, Carmen sighed. Was there something that could distinguish her cave from the others? Well...Someone had carved their inituals into the floor, along with those of their partner’s; it was one of those cheesy movie cliques, except with rock instead of wood. S.T. & F.C. With a heart. Luckily, she was sure she could eleminate a few of the tunnels, specifically the ones that were dark and barren of the trademark crystals that made this place an attraction in the first place.

”HELLO?! ANYBODY THERE WHO WANTS TO SAVE A DAMSEL IN DISTRESS?!...s**t.” No one would hear her, and if they did, she wasnt well versed in the skill of echo-location. At least, by now, she had narrowed things down to three tunnels. That was basically the same as her being at home on her couch with a hot latte and cookies. One of these would have those stupid inituals, and she could be out of here. Ugh, next time she’s gonna keep her ‘free spirit’ on a leash and stay her a** where she knows where she is.

The blonde brought his head up when he thought he heard something echo off the walls of the caves. That couldn't possibly be, from what he had been told not many people know about this place. Of course, he had been told a long time ago and was just now getting around to seeing this place for himself. Perhaps in the time he had been gone, it had grown in popularity. Shaking the idea from his mind, he leaned forward to rest his arms against his thighs and stare into his reflection as he swirled the water around with his legs. Flashes of the day before came and went causing the man to place a few fingers against his temple. All he could see were pulsating lights and tastes of alcohol. He felt like he had met someone wherever he had gone, but he wasn't sure. "Ugh...This is one hell of a hangover," he mumbled to himself as he closed her eyes, trying to will the headache away. Ruby eyes flashed open when he heard the eerie sounds again. Looking over his shoulder, placing his hand back onto the cave floor to hold himself as he twisted his upper body around, he studied the area around him picking up a tunnel to his left. Huh, he hadn't noticed that when he first popped in. Perhaps he had just missed the real entrance and found another pocket further down? With brows knitting together in confusion, he tried listening one more time to make sure he wasn't going crazy. Not that it would be within the realm of impossibilities. He did tend to hear voices anyways.

It took a few moments, but he definitely heard a voice calling out. Hearing echoes of what they were shouting, one word stuck out to him. Damsel. Damsel meant woman, and often in distress! Jumping to his feet, Lysander almost lost his balance and fell back into the water before catching himself. The voice didn't sound familiar to him, which was a good thing in his mind. The less people know him, the better. Making his way towards the tunnel, Lysander paused as he leaned over and coughed, hard. His lungs felt like they were burning away with how hard he was coughing, the sounds most likely echoing around him just as the stranger's voice did. In fact, he began coughing so hard he felt himself dry heave in the process. Where was this coming from!? Wiping the drool that had started to dribble down from the corner of his mouth, he took note of the blood smeared across the back of his hand. "Sh*t..." he hissed as he walked back to the water to wash it off and rinse out his mouth. Salt water was not the best to taste, but it was better than iron.

When he felt like he was up to par once again, he trekked his way down the tunnel. "Hello!" he called out, hands cupped around his mouth to amplify his voice. He wondered how long it would take him to find this person, and how long the tunnel was. Where there more? If there were, there was no way for him to tell the person which one he was coming from. "Stay put and I'll...find you I guess," he added. Normally he wouldn't care about the stranded stranger, but given that he was trying to distract himself, he let the curiosity get the best of him.

Some of these pillars weren't like the ones around them. They had been carved into, Carmen thought, spindly, machine-like legs. They were intricate, slowly drawing her further in. That same allure did a fine job of keeping their secrets, leaving the wolf to vaguely wonder what other formations existed. These large interconnected caverns, one would not think there was a way to be truely trapped. Afterall, where would the water have gone? Why would it have stopped? Nevertheless, some of these were obviously human-made. Or, certainly not created by natural means. She was lost in a maze of kaleidoscope patterns, gradually recalling details to get her back. Her tunnel should slope downwards, be very wide, go around a long curve. Her entrance had been large and engulfing, this tunnel she was in now was getting uncomfortably narrow and flooded. The end would lead underwater, and she noted as much as he last option of escape. Carmen began to back up, grumbling to herself if only to feel less alone. That would be her way out if worse came to worse. The bluenette ignored the itch to check her phone for how much time she had left.

A sharp sound made Carmen jump, a gasp rushing off her lips as her knees buckled together and she stiffened. Her mind shot to the face of the grudge kid, then a zombie, then a shadowy ghost waiting to be seen so it could drag her into the shadows. Coughing? Was someone else lost and trapped here? Would she find a sickly person crumbled on the floor, nearly dead and prepared to confirm her fate? ”You okay there, sailor? Your lungs in tact?” Called the starlette nervously, hands pressed to her bossom. There were only endless twists and turns down iridescent halls, most of which were identical- the ones that weren’t dark several yards in. The dancer shuttered, pressing one hand to the wall as she inched to the second tunnel in her narrowed search. To her releaf, a human voice did eventually reach her. To an extent, her wearyness melted. Even with a threat, she would have defended herself! Still, this felt better. ”Ah! Im here!” She called back, grateful despite the trauma to her eardrums.

Where was the voice from? She knew to maintain her position, head whipping to pinpoint the sound. Just one voice? A male. In the back of her mind, there was something about it, but in her relief, she obeyed his instructions without question and pressed her body to the juncture between walls. ”Dont come in too far. Thats...kinda how you get yourself in my position. Silly of me, huh?” Silly as she felt, Carmen felt comforted to hear her own voice while she waited, her stomach churning as she hoped he’d say something that would make him sound friendly. Psh! He wasnt some serial killer trying to corner her! No, and she was sure she could hear footsteps. Her large rounded orbs peered down the tunnel, waiting for the form to become clear before daring to move. ”Is it just you?”

"Ah, yeah, I'm fine," Lysander lied easily. Lying was almost second nature to him, this made determining the truth hard when speaking to him. He didn't always lie, but it was just too easy and often got him what he wanted. With the taste of iron and salt now milling about his mouth, he wished he had brought snacks or drinks along with him. Of course, that would be near impossible to swim and carry such things at the same time. Making a face of disgust, he cleared his throat as he listened to this woman talk of how she got stuck. Okay, so he couldn't get to close. Not super difficult. Hopefully.

As he came closer to the mouth of his tunnel, he made sure to watch his footing as it began to narrow. The echoing sounds of water dripping around him made him cautious not to slip. "Okay..." he began, in his normal tone. Not able to fit through the entrance of the tunnel he had been moving down, his build too big; he stuck out his hand towards her as he held onto the wall. "There's kinda a small pool over this little step," he said as he noticed a lip at the end of his tunnel one needed to step over in order to enter it. "Grab my hand and I'll make sure you don't fall."

Even for a man who could barely muster up emotions, the past whatever time period had royally sucked. His baby was dating, but worse the guy was a definite lech and Isa was certain the guy would eventually ditch when he had had his fun and poor sweet baby Emi would be left inconsolable. Seeing her sad was something Isa couldn’t stand, not only did he feel like he had failed to protect her, but he was proven again and again just how ineffectual he was as a parental figure. Though of course the worst part was seeing someone he truly loved upset. Always managed to hit him in the feels. Then to top it off, apparently his girlfriend liked to open portals to the land of the dead on Halloween and invite some ghosts over. And of all the dead people there ever were, who was the one that managed to linger at Val’s house the longest? Why of course it had to be the one person he could genuinely say he missed. That’s right, somehow his fiancée Lena ended up crashing in his girlfriend’s house. And unlike the last few times he had seen her, she was her old rebellious self that he had fallen in love with as a teen. Not only had he fallen for her, but even as young adults they were still madly in love and Lena was the proof. Even as a ghost, her lithe form sported the tell-tale dome of pregnancy. She still had months to go, well, she did when she was alive but no she had to get herself and their child killed while trying to save his life. Maybe she would have died anyway even if she had left him to bleed out, but it was an uncertainty which made him feel like a murderer.

Needless to say he had fallen back into a slump and only barely managed to keep it together for his girls. Wasn’t good enough it seemed for Val was being particularly obliging to him. Maybe she blamed herself, maybe not? There was no way she could have known who Lena was to him, and of course if you have a ghost problem why wouldn’t you call your supportive boyfriend who also happens to be undead? So in her continued efforts to oblige him, she had agreed to a sort of date in the underwater caverns. It wasn’t a scheduled thing, and he really didn’t have any particular ideas about what to do down there, but it was a new location for him and she had mentioned maybe bonfire and alcohol and who knows what other shenanigans. Plus he got to see her in a bathing suit, so win. Supposedly it was a bit of a dive to get down there, but Val seemed convinced she could do it and he was an ok swimmer, and ok was good enough when you didn’t have to worry about drowning ever. After myriad twists and turns, his head popped above the water and he looked about at the crystalline walls, ”wow, now that’s sparkly.”

Baba had always trained her to be a fiery loyal pup. Needless to say that what happened, Val felt totally like a bad dog now. She knows that everything with Lena wasn’t her fault but still. If she never lit the altar on Samhain, then Isa would never…..the pinkette couldn’t bear to sit back and see the anguish in her boyfriend’s eyes. He deemed himself passionless most of the time but truly, he was far from it when it came to something or someone important to him…

SO, Val decided in order to be a good girlfriend and loyal companion that she would take him out on a date to whatever he wanted, to keep his mind away from negative thoughts and vibrations about everything. The bohemian witch didn’t quite expect that the punk would suggest they should travel to the underwater caverns. He really didn’t notice the weather anymore? It was late November. Still whatever would take the pain away from his eyes she would do. Val would pack up a few things and spend time thinking about ideas for them to do before Isa picked her up on his bike today.

Swimming from the top of the seashore to the far reaching depth of the underwater caverns was easy, being that the two of them had unusual abilities to enhance their lungs. Shapeshifting had long since changed her body, and Isa was undead. So it was simply about the journey there. Isa leads them through a series of twists, turns, and one small rocky tunnel before making it to the underwater caverns. Val broke the surface of the water after the long journey to get the long-awaited breath of air. She took a couple of more deep breaths as her trouble-making boyfriend said, "Wow, now that’s sparkly.”

Val looked up from the pool they were bobbing in and onto the shimmering crystal-lined walls of the caverns. Everything was illuminating a brilliant blue. It was all so beautiful and took her mind off the coldness of the water for a moment. “I love this,” she aww in a delightful tone before hefting her way out of the pool to get a closer look. Val crossed the ground from the pool to the cave walls, shivering her a** off all the way there.

» Out of Cigarettes (O.O.C): Val is totally in "my precious" mode. Never take a witch to see crystal. lol.

also she is wearing the shell necklace.

Perhaps he had picked a mutually agreeable spot after all. He had been interested cause he had never seen such a grotto before, but he had heard there were crystals, and witches loved crystals, right? Well, his witch seemed to. He pulled himself out of the water, not caring that he was dripping all over the place. Something out of the corner of his eye caught his attention: was she shivering? Perhaps even though this area had abnormally high temperatures, November might be a little on the chilly side, and getting soaking wet deep underwater didn’t help. He pulled off his leather jacket and draped it over her shoulders. Yes, it was wet, but it was wind resistant anyway. ”Man, can you imagine getting high in here? Definitely the place for some spiritual epiphanies or whatever.” Not that he could, but he could see how someone else might experience such a thing. ”Bet you could whip up some impressive spells in here.” Actually he didn’t really know how all that stuff worked, but he had heard about mystically powerful places, and her spells were mystical, so it seemed like something mystical would do better in a mystical place. He followed her around as she looked. The awe had worn away almost as soon as it had come, so for a while he pondered where the light was coming from which illuminated the crystals who shone their fractured light all about the cave. And once he gave up on figuring that out? Welp, his baser instincts kicked in and he started to mentally undress her in the brilliant blue light. A little sea foam would have been a nice touch to the image, but he could deal without. This was definitely a Val date, not a Lena date. Lena would have preferred something more shocking, somewhere they could have gotten into some mischief. A barely accessible cavern of unnatural beauty? That was neo-hippie through and through. ”I didn’t do too badly, now did I?”
