She moved quick as a flutter could possibly flitter, taking her large jar of water to refill the main party bowl before filling the occasional glass. Everyone who grew looked positively gorgeous, part of her genuinely wanted to stay and converse with them. Idalusia, Marigold, Xiu, OH XIU WAS BEAUTIFUL!
She wanted so badly go give her a hug. But that probably wouldn't be reciprocated, and more than that she wanted to return to the lost seeds. The flutter quickly finished before darting back inside to refill her vessel with honeyed water. Quickly now, quick quick quick. She was no doubt missing so much! Quick as a flash she was back into the room, slightly panting, her hair in tumbled curls from her dashing about. She missed a hug-fest?! Her jaw dropped a little when her Queen all but tackled Elias.
Shaylee, fetch the jar. W-w-wha? But. But she just got back! Her jaw was slack now, not from the glomp, but for being sent away again. "Y-yes ma'am." She set the vase of honeyed water on a table and zipped away again.

Calanthe couldn't help but smile as the feather sensation tickled her skin where all those cuts, scrapes, and bruises used to be. She hadn't realized there were so many. She supposed that her traveler's lifestyle wasn't the most comfortable, and that after a while you just stopped noticing.
When Mazarine took his hand away she looked at the now-healthy spot with wide eyes. "Woah," she said, looking at both sides of her hand, and all over her body. "Thanks," she said, looking back up at him. That's when she noticed a cut that hadn't been there before. But it had just been on her. She felt the side of her face, right by her hairline, and it was gone. Had he....had he taken her wounds away? Was that how his magic worked? She learned forward in her seat slightly to look at him better. "That is so gross and so cool," she said with a wide smile.
Calanthe wanted to ask him how he did that, but Queen Belwen was still talking. "Thanks," she whispered again, then turned back to face the Queen. She was asking if they wanted to join the party. The color drained slightly from her face and she shook her head. She was...barely getting used to the two adults there with them. She couldn't handle suddenly throwing herself into everything at once. True, she did want to learn everything there was to know about this place, especially if it was the place of her birth, but a little bit at a time. She wanted to take her time and study every detail, talk to every Pae, and have time to process what she learned. A party? That just sounded overwhelming.
She stole a glance at Siofra and Elias. If they wanted to go to the party would Queen Belwen make her go too? Maybe she could stay with the other adult. He seemed like the type who would sit quietly with her and tell her how his magic worked. Although the other two teens didn't look like they were super keen on the idea of partying either. Actually their facial expressions told her they wanted to leave altogether.

The flutter queen tipped her head to the side, and put her fingers on her chin stroking an invisible beard. "Siofra. It's because I'm older than you. That's how life works. Those born before you, will be older, and most of the time, bigger. You'll be growing soon. If you had grown up here, you'd have grown today actually." This must be the special one. Did they try to crack her seed open before she sprouted? No wonder the boy has taken special interest in protecting her. Belwen wondered what kind of cruel and bizarre brainwashing torture this poor girl must have endured. Poor thing. She reached out and pat Siofra on the head. "It's okay."
Belwen thanked Shaylee for getting the requested items. She mixed the tea that Shaylee so graciously brought for them and offered a cup to teens. "Please, enjoy a delicious cup of herbal tea. It's calming." With a bit of slight of hand and utilizing the distraction Shaylee's presence caused, she poured some of the nectar into Mazarine's and her own cup instead of the tea.
The queen lifted the dainty wooden teacup to her lips and sipped. "If you'd like, you can join the party outside. Shaylee will escort you and introduce you to the others. Otherwise, enjoy the tea and sit and talk me a bit. I'd love to get to know you better. You said your 'home' is that way?" Belwen pointed with a nod while holding her teacup up inches from her face, to confirm what Siorfra had said earlier. She took another sip and punctuated with a noise of enjoyment.
"Maybe I can show you around the tree?"
This may seem a bit suspicious, however the teenagers present only have two options. They can join the party, mingle and be welcomed home. Or they can drink the tea and go back to where they came from, without memories of what they saw this day.
Tartara Seabreeze Shaylee - I am trying to move this RP along, so I am going to assume Shaylee retrieved the items requested.

When the call forward finally came, Yesenia nearly jumped, but managed to catch herself in time. No, no, no, dear...calm. Dignified. Like a peacock. Of course, Nova showed no such restraint. She wouldn't have been Nova if she had. Though, just because this was a momentous occasion didn't mean it had to be completely somber and serious. She held her head high, smiling warmly as she walked confidently into the open arms of the Elders. The swirling magic made her skin feel warm and tingly, causing her to giggle despite her efforts to remain composed.
When she was released from the embrace, she stepped back and looked down at herself in wonder. She was gorgeous! Well, not that that was a surprise, of course. It was simply pleasing to see for herself. Yesenia turned her gaze back up to her friends in time to see a squealing Nova wobbling about in the air. With a chuckle, she reached up to steady her before she tumbled out of the air, quipping, "Careful, Nova dear. Those are still new." Not that she could blame her for being excited. She'd just...wait and try hers out later. When no one was watching.
Xiulan had hesitated more than some. No, she'd taken the step to go through with this, there was no going back, no doing this halfway. Taking a deep breath to steady herself, she stepped forward into the open arms of the Elders, closing her eyes as the warm magic swirled around her, stirring her hair and making her skin tingle until it receded. Released, she looked down at herself with wide eyed wonder. It was done.
A loud squeal tore her attention away from herself to focus on a rather hyper, excited female further down the line. Who seemed to be hovering in the air. Xiulan's eyes widened further at the realization that occurred to her at this sight. They...they could fly? Well, they could try...and with practice, who knew...?
Her heart seemed to have stopped for a moment, but now began hammering again at double time. Stretching the unfamiliar muscles, she flapped her own wings experimentally, slowly at first, then more powerful beats, then fluttering lightly. She startled herself as her hooves started to lift off the floor and immediately dropped back down.
Okay...this alone might be worth it.
***
After such an emotionally charged ceremony, Xiulan needed a bit of time to herself following the event. She was still expected to be at the party, of course, just...she wasn't eager to jump into some of the more energetic, noisy circles. And it wasn't as if she'd really made many actual friends here to speak to...
Her silent reverie was interrupted by a question and a bowl of fruit being pushed into her frame of vision. She blinked, looking up into the friendly face of the Forn sentry. She bit her lip, seeming to ponder his congratulation before her visage relaxed, not a smile, but not an altogether unpleasant expression either. Perhaps pensive. She accepted the offer of food, reaching into the bowl for a piece of fruit. "Thanks." For the food? The congratulations? Both?
She had indeed taken a huge step today. She just worried still if it had been the right one. She was conflicted; after having resisted for so long, made such efforts to shut herself off, to shut them all out, to have given in seemed like giving up. That she'd let them win. It felt wrong. And yet, everything that had happened today felt...so right as well.
The truth was, she'd made her choice and there was no going back now. Time would tell if it had been correct or not.
"No luck on the scones yet. Can't seem to get the chefs to understand what I want." She sighed after delivering this disappointing answer. Clearly, if she could just introduce them to the wondrous baked good, they'd open their eyes to the glory of the outside world.
...or not, but it would be nice to have a sweet treat again aside from just normal fruit and nectar.
"Of course, we are!" Yesenia chuckled, accepting a handful of candied fruits from the snacks Nova offered. "We are all magnificent and gorgeous!" She winked at Marigold, then resumed smiling at the exuberant Nova. Such a lovely party. And all for them.
She had noted a few groups gathering and speaking, then noticed one odd pair speaking quietly nearby. She hadn't meant to eavesdrop, but when she heard something about 'chefs' and 'scones' whatever those were, her curiosity was peaked. She had noted that flutter girl during the ceremony if only because of some of the odd things she'd said. Something about another 'home' and 'family'. Curious. But of course, growing up in Harn, she had no previous knowledge of the Forn flutter's story.
She did have interest in anything to do with chefs and if there was something she could learn about Forn that might prove useful to bring back to Harn...
Making a slight 'excuse me' motion to her friends, she moved closer to the new adult and the Forn sentry, clearing her throat. "So sorry to interrupt...but you said something about scones. What are they?" She clasp her hands behind her back, making the appearance to look humble. "It's not something I've personally heard of before, but...if it's not something Forn chefs have heard of either, then maybe Harn chefs have." The pride was clear in her voice anyway, even if her body language was humble.
Then she noticed Idalusia's approach, who immediate started whispering in the sentry's ear, ignoring the rest of them. Her ire flared once more. Seriously? What was with this girl ignoring when other people were talking? Granted, she had been speaking to the female flutter moreso, but Lisian had also been part of the conversation before she'd even arrived. Raising an eyebrow in obvious irritation, she kept her tone as even as possible, asking, "...is there something we can help you with?"
Antidia Assuming Marigold is also nearby XD

Siofra blushed, realizing she sounded stupid and would promptly be treated as such. She knew the lovely woman in front of her was older than her, but she was older than her sister and Lelly was bigger and looked a lot more filled out than she did. That's all she meant. Too bad her words didn't seem to want to work that way. Wait, grown today? "Grown today? Like some sort of magical poofy thing?" She asked, a little confused. When Lelly grew up she'd done it slowly over time. Siofra had been jealous enough that her slightly younger twin had stopped being gangly and awkward and turned into a graceful and elegant young adult that she had noticed herself staying all legs.
It was in the middle of that thought Shaylee returned with whatever she was carrying this time. Siofra gave a bit of a goofy grin, glad to see the princess back again. She hadn't noticed anything odd, but took the cup of tea and held it. The cup felt like something she'd seen crafted at home. It was even light enough to have been made at home. Jade eyes narrowed a little, looking at the liquid it held. It didn't smell like anything she'd ever seen or smelled in her home. Maybe it was something special that grew in this weird tree? Could she really trust it? Mom always told her not to try things she didn't know...
"Y-yeah, home is that way." She agreed, giving a nod over her shoulder as she set the cup down in front of her. She wouldn't drink it. "Thank you very much for the tea Ma'am, I'm not really thirsty." She smiled, trying to be polite in the rejection. It didn't smell bad or anything, but she didn't know what was in it. Maybe that fruit earlier might have been safe, it looked like stuff Mom normally had around their home, but this tea.. She couldn't place it. "Maybe I can go talk to Idaluisa?" She suggested, thinking the girl who had ratted on them would be out there. She didn't know many names, or really much of anything at all, but at least she remembered the name of that girl. Siofra looked to Elias, she wanted him to know he didn't have to make the same decision about the tea she did. Even if she did really want him right next to her the entire time out there. He had to know he had his own choice in whatever was going down.
"Yeah.." She nodded, making up her mind. Maybe she'd get a chance to run for it outside at the party. "I'll be outside if you want to join me Elias." Siofra smiled, not meaning to pressure him. "It was a pleasure meeting you Queen Belwen." She smiled again, leaning forward and sweeping a leg behind her in a half curtsy half bow. It may have looked a little weird, but she only vaguely recalled the gesture from a bedtime story from forever ago. The teen, still smiling, turned to Shaylee. "To the party?"

Elias held up a hand, immediately refusing the tea. He had enough of the suspicious offerings of these pae. It was the mood he was currently in, if he hadn't been so suspicious he would have recalled that offering food and drinks to guests was actually a really hospitable thing to do. The teenager had a thoughtful expression on his face, contemplating on the words of the queen. They were supposed to...get bigger today? So far it had seemed that they only got smaller, but perhaps that was what they had stumbled upon. All the pae they had been lined up with were their age...
He was mildly curious about going to the party now, to see what had become of these other pae. Elias gulped, glancing at Siofra who had already made up her mind about going to the party, He didn't want to seem like a lost child following her around to the party, he had already been doing that plenty with following Siofra to her home, However, he didn't want to be left all alone with the tea and the sugared fruit and the overzealous queen.
"Uhm... Yeah... I think I'll go to this party as well." Elias spoke, mostly to Siofra. He glanced down at the ground before standing up and joining her side. "You can come too." He said, addressing Calanthe for the first time. While his young mind was focused almost entirely on Siofra, the other teenager hadn't gone unnoticed and he didn't want to leave this other poor girl alone with the wolves.

Calanthe took the little teacup with a nod of thanks toward the Queen. She held it in her hands and let the warmth seep into her skin. It had been a long time since she'd eaten or drank anything warm. She lifted the cup to her lips, but before any liquid touched them, she decided it was too hot yet to drink, and lowered her hands to her lap. She rubbed her thumb along the rim of the cup.
There was talk about going to the party again. Now the others her age had decided to go, and were inviting her along. Calanthe was still hesitant, even knowing she wouldn't be alone. She made a somewhat sideways expression and looked between Elias, who'd asked her to come, and Mazarine, whose company she had been enjoying very much.
"Will you come with us if we go?" she asked Mazarine, trying unsuccessfully to keep the hopeful note out of her voice. She wasn't great at making friends. Maybe he could help smooth that particular piece over. Introduce her to some others who were more subdued like himself. Not like the bouncy, bubbly handmaid of the Queen's. That was more energy than she could handle right now.
Also she wanted to ask Mazarine a question, but not in front of the others. She didn't want to look stupid. Maybe as they left she could, like, hang back or something.

Belwen nodded at Siofra and chuckled. "Magical poofy thing, yes." She was happy the kids didn't drink the tea. Though she was still unsure why they were so jittery. After all, they came here. She's done nothing but show welcome and remain hospitable. It made her wonder about the environments they grew up in. They were taught to be paranoid and distrusting. Were they abused? She tipped her head to the side as she considered how badly they needed to be rescued. Maybe the flutters could fix some of the damage with plenty of love and compassion. It sorta worked on Xiulan, but her situation is quite a bit different. Belwen held on to her hope.
"It's been decided then! Let's all go out to the party. I am so ready for those glazed rhubarb tarts*!" She bounced up, flittering her wings to lift enough to zip ahead of the group heading for the door. She turned and bounced. "This is so exciting!!" Of course she was referring to the lost seeds choosing to stay and join them. The party was merely a cherry on top of her glee. She then stood aside to let the kids follow Shaylee out of the sitting room and head towards the exit. As Mazarine neared, she handed the jar of herbs to him and winked.
She saw little Calanthe holding back, looking a bit nervous. "Sweetheart, is everything okay?" Belwen was quiet and touched down gently. It was in the flutter nature to be timid, yes. But they opened up to each other usually. Calanthe would learn that in time. The flutter queen could hardly blame her for being bashful. "I can help you with whatever you need. Or Mazarine is available too, I'm sure." she did seem to open up more to him, she noticed.
*tart - the cooks can make delicious treats. And this may not be the same as a traditional tart, but it is the same in spirit.
