Who is Baako?
Paranoid.
Baako in her youth was a reckless sort of lioness, thinking her cocky attitude was a sign of courage. She roamed far and wide, and found herself in many a perilous situation that she only just managed to escape. This same mindset is what led her to her first 'true love', but after lying with him for the first time, the next morning he was never seen again. Disheartened, but still the same lioness, she tried to shrug the incident from her shoulders.
However, all but one of Baako first litter of cubs didn't manage to enter the world, the sole survivor later killed by predators when she turned her back to hunt. She took it as a sign from the gods that she had displeased them. It shook her world to the core, and she became an insomniac, her wanderings no longer geared towards adventure, but simply the roaming of a cubless mother. It was sheer luck for her that she stumbled upon and joined the Aali'makabila, finding a place to settle and try to restart her life, but her past still haunts her. She's a bit of a zealot, particularly in the non-lion tradition as she will never be sure of what took her only cub. Furthermore, she took the position of Mwindaji rather than Mzazi because she isn't confident she's repaid whatever debt the gods took her cubs for, and is wary of any possibility to make another mistake. Before it disbanded, she had a fling & a new litter of cubs, which all survived to adulthood and now live lives of their own. She still felt her life was empty, however, and her roaming brought her to the Ela, and missing life in a pride, she joined during the tree ceremony.

She warms up slowly to others, but is a loyal and loving lioness.

Who is Midas?
Generally a good jackal with bad luck, he is also a bit of a liar. A tale spinner, if you will. But one day he had the misfortune of being picked off by a large bird of prey who thought they could handle Midas. His weight was too much, and the bird released him. Thinking of his good fortune... He was mistaken to have found he landed at the feet of the Aikanaro'hini prince Phlegyas, who thinking him a gift from Morifaer, made him his slave.

Who is Fleance?
Fleance has a great deal of self-loathing about him. He thinks himself weak and not good for much, and his little brother (does not exist ICly) only tries to reinforce this. He's been killed many times by said younger brother, dozens, hundreds, who knows?! He doesn't. That unknowing and paranoia leave him often depressed. He's afraid of growing close to anyone either because of a mortal life span, or for a fear of having them taken away by his mortal enemy.

He has a strange hobby of sorts of mating with mortals to make seer offspring to try and use them to find his brother (but since he doesn't exist ICly, yeah that doesn't work).
