opting out:
Astronomy ~ A
Vio had no issue with Astronomy; she didn't love the class, nor did she despise it. She could have done very well in it if she cared to actually study and prepare for the exam, but she pushed it aside in favor of studying for other classes, and while she tried on the exam, she didn't kill herself over it, and simply moved on when she couldn't remember an answer. As a result, she received an Acceptable.
Herbology ~ P
Vio is not a fan of dirt. Or plants. Or greenhouses, or gardening tools, or really anything to do with Herbology in general. While she has no trouble memorizing the properties of various magical plants, she is awful at caring for them, and disliked the class to begin with. She purposefully barely studied for the exam, presumably out of disdain, and it was a miracle she managed a Poor on it, and not a Dreadful.
History of Magic ~ P
Vio has never hated History, but she's never been terribly invested in it either, with the exception of interesting myths, legends, battles, and whatnot. But seeing as the majority of history, even magical history, does not read like a fantasy series, she knew she wasn't going to do very well on this exam. She hates having to learn dates, and consistently mixed up or 'guesstimated' years. Consequently she confused herself more and more over the course of the exam, and came up just short of an Acceptable, instead landing in the Poor range.
Potions ~ A
Vio always wanted to do well in Potions; she considers it an important skill, and something very useful to know how to do well, but that was never the case for her. In theory, she can write about potions and their effects correctly, but when it comes to actually brewing them, they're never quite up to snuff. While she did pass the exam with an Acceptable, she would have loved to manage an Exceeds Expectations.
Art ~ EE
Vio has always enjoyed drawing and art in general, and she actually liked taking the exam. She knew she was going to do well enough on it, so she wasn't worried about possibly failing, and she didn't have to overwhelm herself studying for it. She did about as well as she expected, with an Exceeds Expectations, and while an Outstanding would have been nice, she has no plans to become a professional artist or art historian anyways.
Healing ~ EE
Vio never enjoyed Healing, per se, but she knows how important it is, and studied almost religiously for her exam. While she doesn't intend to become a Healer, being raised by a Healer and a muggle doctor had their effects on her, and she wouldn't have been able to live it down if she barely scraped by with an Acceptable. She did well enough on the exam to receive an Exceeds Expectations, to her satisfaction.
Music ~ EE
Vio treated her Music owl the same way she treated her Art owl; while she has a decent singing voice and can read music proficiently, she wasn't stressing out over the exam. Luckily for her she found it fairly easy, and any mistakes she made were minor, resulting in an Exceeds Expectations. It wasn't as if she planned to go into the music business, she reasoned with herself.
Wandlore Studies ~ A
Vio's interest in Wandlore Studies waned significantly after the first year of taking the elective. By the time she took the exam she couldn't have cared less what she got on it, and to her surprise she remembered much more than she had expected to. Whereas she had expected a Poor she managed to snag an Acceptable, not that it mattered much to her. She didn't plan to keep taking the class.
World Studies ~ EE
Vio has always had an interest in different cultures and the world around her, and while World Studies was a bit more like History of Magic than she had hoped, she did have an easier time studying for it. Consequently she was fairly confident while she took the exam, and unsurprised but happy to see that she ended up with an Exceeds Expectations.
