Royalty
xxxxBoss Buluu: Izzy Makani
The leader of the pride and the head of all decisions made within the pride, he sees to Currency matters and discussions with other pride leaders. He handles only matters of extreme importance in the pride, and does not bother with lower affairs.
xxxxBoss Lady Emi: Chi Sohma
The real leader of the pride, the Boss Lady is the mate to the Boss. Handling all the pride matters and keeping the Boss in line, she is often the controlling force behind the pride. She keeps track on all the current happenings in the pride and helps to keeps the peace.
xxxxHeirs
Normally the cubs of the Boss and the Boss Lady, but can be of no relation to the Bosses but someone in the pride deemed worthy, the heirs are treasured members of the pride and highly protected. The cubs must be fertile to take the positions of Boss Lady or Boss.
xxxxRoyal
Often part of the Boss/Boss Lady's family, they are favoured members of the pride. They can be normal members of the pride raised to his rank, or Seers/Oracles who are too valuable to trade. These members would be the first to take the place of 'heir' if no other is nominated.
xxxxRight Hand Katapatan: Chi Sohma
There can only be two that take this Rank, the Right Hand to the Boss and the Right Hand to the Boss Lady. This is the position that ensures a favourable life above everyone else. The two who possess the rank are treasured and are highly valuable to the pride. They don't take part in much of the politics of the pride, unless the Bosses asks them to. They are the informants of the Bosses about the pride's happenings, keeping them up to date. They are fiercely loyal and are required to do anything that the Bosses say. Even remove a few unsightly members, no questions asked.
*Right hand is a very complex rank, there are only two slots available for being the right hand. Being promoted to a right hand requires the Boss or Boss Lady to physically/verbally put you in the rank. For now, Only the prior right hand's offspring are being considered.
*Privileges to the right hand are strictly secretive and no one except the Right Hands know what their privileges are. Basically, know that they can pretty much do whatever you wish to without any hassle.
xxxxCouncil
They give advice to the Royals when they are required. They control, watch over their sections, and enforce the law.
Warrior Councilor: Jelani, Owner: Death Resurrected
___+ Responsibilities: This position relies on the Champion as his right hand wo/man. This rank is earned by being a Champion, and is extra knowledgeable on strategics in war. It includes training, coordinating of tournaments, and has the ability to promote and demote within his/her field. In charge of all the missions that take place within/out of the pride in its entirety. The missioner is the one who lets everyone know of whats going on, what they brought back and what needs to be done. In charge of the champion, currency fighters, warriors and grunts.

___+ Responsibilities: Coordinating all the dancers, performances, celebrations, and care of all entertainers. Takes care of all their needs and keeps track of debts within. They promote, demote, and can submit any entertainer to slavery. This councilor oversees entertainers, Geisha, and Okaa-sans.

___+ Responsibilities: Keeps track of the healing done within the pride. Anything to report, any herbs need collecting and new records is told to the Health Councilor. They report the deaths to Boss Lady. They are also gifted with the paw of healing, so when devastation strikes, this councilor is the calm head. They oversee, Shaman, Witch Doctors, Herbalists, Doulas, and Nannies.
Religion Councilor: ( Unoccupied )
___+ Responsibilities: In charge of the morality in the pride in regards to the Gods, and making sure celebrations and tributes are in order. This councilor oversees Oracles, Seers, Priest/ess, and Worshippers.
Debt Councilor: ( Unoccupied )
___+ Responsibilities: Keeping track of those in debt. This Councilor is in charge of the King Pin and Loan Sharks.
Connection Councilor: ( Ajani, Owner: Club Snails )
___+ Responsibilities: They keep healthy communication with other prides/allies/racers. They encounter any brought in rogues, trade ins etc. They making sure they are going through their tests to be accepted into the pride, and deal with all the concerns of the members. This councilor oversees Ambassadors, informants, citizens, incoming rogues, and slaves.
Treasury Councilor: ( Nkiruka: Depawsit )
___+ Responsibilities: They keep track of the prides value/worth/merchandise. This councilor oversees the Head Merchant, Merchants, and Pack mules.
*Council members a position that requires some activity. If any member wants to involve a council member or wants rp with their section's council member. Please refer to them via PMs, plot threads, pride ramblings or their AIM.
*Privileges to being a Council are; being in charge and having the ability to boss around those in their section. They also have authority over slaves and citizens. They are able to have a few personal slaves. They are often given a Warrior to act as a bodyguard for them. Council members are usually needed in the pride but they can regularly go out into the rogue lands if they please. They do not have to abide by the same curfew laws that lesser ranks do.
xxxxOracles
Are Currency Seers, and gifted by the Gods'. They are highly regarded for their abilities, and are very well taken care of. They are often accompanied by a Priest/ess to help interpret their visions. They rank lower than the councilors but higher than the upper class.

xxxxChampion
The champion is the best warrior in the pride. They accept challenges for the position, and therefore never a guaranteed spot. When someone challenges the champion then there is a tournament held and can be watched by anyone. Normally the champion in younger and is preparing to take over for the council member’s seat when the need arrives for a new one. Therefore the Champion is the right hand of the Warrior Councilman. They may only leave the pride when it is okayed by the Warrior councilman.
xxxxOkaa-San
They act as the 'managers' of the Geisha and Entertainment Currency, though they are referred to as the 'Mothers'. They are in charge of training and watching out for the Geisha in their Okiya (a Den of Geshia). They are highly favoured in the pride and are looked upon with respect.

*Okaa-San is an activity required position. To gain this rank, you must recruit 3-4 male or female entertainers into your Okiya and be in charge of their training/protection. The 'training' does not need to be RP'd out in full, but a recruiting RP of taking a Geisha into the Okaa-san's Okiya is favoured, or at least some sign of interaction between Okaa-san and Geisha.
*Privileges to being an Okaa-san are; being in charge of and being able to boss around the Entertainers/Geishas to their Okiya. They also can also obtain a grunt for their disposal to bring in rogue females, or do jobs for them. Okaa-sans can leave the pride for an extended amount of time, staying out of the pride well passed normal curfew, but they would have to leave their senior Geisha in charge of their Okiya affairs while they're absent.
xxxxAmbassador
Are those designated to go to new prides to make alliances and make negotiations throughout the lands. They polish trade routes, and make landmarks for merchants to follow. Some Ambassadors stay in certain prides for an extended amounts of time, and permitted to have a family there. (But his/her loyalties remain in the 'Nera). They must have completed a 'career path' to be eligible! Career path meaning a type of currency
*Privileges are to stay in different prides without any curfew. One is allowed to stay for as long as they want outside the pride ( but keep connections with the 'Nera ). It is not uncommon for them to start families in another pride but they must assume and respect the rules of the other pride.

xxxxHead Merchant
This is the master of trades and is the one held responsible for all the trade routes, merchants, and pack mules. Ones processing this rank have a lot of work to do, constantly on the move to make sure everything is in place, and to keep the routes happy and still moving. Very important to the pride, and are highly regarded.
*Privaleges including second dibs other than the royals to any findings. A upper class rank to hold and be pampered when wanted and have the privilege to stay outside the pride for long periods of times. As per other prides goes, their children are considered royal blood and will likely be first honorable picks via arrange marrying and will have a pass to stay in prides as an honorable guest to certain main trade prides.
xxxxCurrency Warriors
These warriors have proven that they excel in their trade and thus been titled currency. They are under the supervision of the champion who can suggest to the councilor who should stay, and go for certain missions. They are highly regarded and are the ones entrusted to guard the important members of the pride.
xxxxGeisha
Anyone who have proved themselves to be the best in the Currency Entertainer Rank. They are only given to high ranking members, and can be used for important missions. Before being called Geisha, they are trained in art and self defense (by the champion or warrior councilman and the Okaas-san). They are used as companions to well ranked individuals, and on diplomatic missions to other prides.
*Privileges are; they can go in and out of the pride before curfew. Otherwise need permission
High Class (Ranking goes high to low)
xxxx Seer Currency
These seers are the best of their kind, and have mastered their skill to a certain level. They are much more stable than other seers with their visions, and have acquired accuracy. They are often used for their gifts by higher ranking members, and live a better lifestyle then their counterparts.
xxxx Entertainer Currency
They are handpicked for their talents, and are used to trade and can be sold if desired. Higher ranking members can use them as they will, and are trained even more so to hone in on their talents and become more versatile in the hopes of getting to Geisha ranking.
xxxx King Pin
This is the leader of the loan sharks. It requires brute force, memory as well as strategic thinking. Most think this position is for someone who just wasn’t able to make it as a warrior when it’s just as much work, and even harder at times. It is not as highly regarded as the warrior rank, but s/he has more power than the warriors.
xxxx Shaman
Are full fledge doctors. They heal, create heavy poisons and well versed in them. Plague doctors are gifted with their extensive knowledge of healing and killing. They are honored and feared. Anything known to plague a creature, they usually solve and treat it. They also play a hand in helping Geisha and Currency entertainers with their 'poison' missions. They are heavily sought for- especially for their knowledge. They are mostly quiet beings whom wear bones of some kind to show their rank.
xxxx Warrior
Males or females may take this rank. Trained fighters, they are the strongest members in the pride and are used for the protection. Their fighting skills are strong, and have been trained well. They are bred to be the best. This is an honor to be awarded with this title in this field and is made a ceremony by those in the trade. Only Champion or Warrior Councilman can award the title.
xxxxScholar
Those that seek higher knowledge. Scholars are those with wisdom to spare. They are often called to be teachers and are sought for guidance. Also, those that look for a higher knowledge and is not limited to common/wise knowledge but can also include those that look to the stars. Usually council men are plucked from this rank if they are not from that specific rank.
xxxxDoula
The doula is in charge of all the nannies and train them to be the best. This position is usually filled by someone that is caring, compassionate, but has a stern hand. They oversee the royal cubs when need as well as the higher ranking members or appoint trusted nannies. They know basic medicine/herbal knowledge. Someone that started as a Herbalist, Civilan or Witch Doctor could rise to this rank if they wanted to.
xxxxMerchants
Directly come back to talk to the Bosses on manners outside the pride. They are mostly there to serve as a stable trade system to each pride. They are highly regarded only because they are trusted enough to leave and come back. Merchants are also in charge of the ones below them. Their packmules and low grunts. They can GAIN/OBTAIN as many packmules and low grunts as they need as their 'stock' or amount of items/slaves increases. Merchants can trade and sell their packmules as well. They are trusted and are allowed to go in and out of the pride as they please.
xxxx Priest/ess
These are Godchildren and a rank for those that want to follow a faith. No matter which one, they are in charge of making shrines, and praising to the gods for good blessings to the pride and safe missions. They are also in charge of protecting and interpreting seers. They are regarded as pure beings, and are heavily protected. This rank not only process 'faith' But this rank also includes those whom want to 'study' about the sky/stars etc. Often making scrolls and graphs taught to them by an Ex Dawnwalker - Ex Misty Lion. They communicate frequently with Gods, and are assigned to tend to their needs when the higher beings visit the pride.
Middle Class (In order of highest rank to lowest)
xxxxWitch Doctor
Equivalent to a Nurse. Mostly dealing with mental and spiritual healing on their own- while they learn and study how begin to take on more physical healing challenges. They still follow a and usually Shaman, and help veteran warriors come to grips with themselves after retirement or severe injury. Witch doctors also may refer to the more troubled warriors to a priest or priestess if they truly believe it is beyond mortal healing. Witch doctors are also like first aid, and sometimes sent on rescue missions.
xxxx Grunt
Usually adolescents or adults that have yet to learn respect or just not strong enough to be a warrior. They direct the slaves, and work to make sure the pride's dirty work is done properly. They are usually messengers, who have to prove their worth to be able to ascend to warrior rank.
xxxxCitizen
These ranks are for the youth in the pride, any members which do not take a specific rank, and any rogues which are not immediately welcomed in the pride. They are the normal members within the pride. They are treated with respect but are not highly favored due to their lack of specific skills.
xxxx Loan Shark
Are debt collectors of the pride. They were probably bullies or bullied as cubs, and now want to take it out on someone else. They often lack the morals and ethics that the warriors are burdened to carry. They may have even been a grunt at one time and never made it to a warrior so they became a shark.They frequently go off in to the roguelands. Those from this rank either have a severe ego or a chip on their shoulder. They are also the ones whom report to the right hands and bosses about any pride not willing to pay their debts. They can be the causes to wars or peace if they wanted to. They too, are sent to other prides to consult with other loan sharks and negotiate payments. Because of the nature of their job they aren’t highly regarded even if they play an essential role to the pride.
xxxxRacer
They are mostly restricted to a cheetah only, and are slaves that have proved themselves of some entertainment work. Their sole purpose is to train, race, and keep fit. They are mere forms of entertainment for the upper classes and they can be used as so if the upper class desires. They are treated more nicely then the dirt slaves, but less than the royal slaves (depending on the master).

xxxxEntertainer
Usually female but males may take this rank as well (though it is not often seen). They are used for pride member’s entertainment, are well versed in arts (singing, dancing, other creative skills), or are used as companions/consorts to other members. They are not allowed to 'mate' to another member due to their job, unless they retire from Entertaining.
xxxxPack Mule
This rank is specifically for those trying to get in to the Merchant rank. Here you like an apprentice to the name Merchant. You earn your keep by holding Merchant's stocks and following in their footsteps. Treated semi well as they are allowed to go out of the pride WITH the company of a Merchant. Other than that they stay in the pride and make sure everything runs smoothly.
xxxxNanny
Usually infertile hybrids, Nanny's take care of the cubs within the pride and permanently stay within the pride's safe grounds. Cubs are all taken care of by Nanny's but the parents may have an input to the raising. Usually the parents consult with the Doula and the Doula enforces the nannies. Nanny's can be specific to a particular family and take care of all cubs within that family, but not any other cubs within the pride.
xxxxHerbalists
This is the starter level for the healing path, and as you learn about the different poisons, venoms and healings, you can increase in rank. Herbalists only work on small wounds and help their 'teachers' to heal others. They also are the ones who run errands! They can move to witch doctor or nanny if they chose to.
xxxxWorshipper
The starter path to becoming a priest or priestess. They do the dirty work for the priest and priestesses doing their bidding, and trying to show that they are faithful to the gods and the pride. They usually tell stories to the cubs about the gods, and go to injured warriors to pray for them, among other tasks.
xxxxSlave
Directed by everyone in the first ladder that isn't a slave. There are two types: Royal and Dirt slaves. Royal slaves are assigned to a specific Royal or important members to attend to their needs. Dirt slaves are members which have no important qualities, and are used for whatever pridal needs occur.
Any members of the pride who disobey pride laws, or have illegal children, are ranked as Slaves as punishment. Slaves can be traded or sold within the pride, or to other prides, if the need arises.
Notice:
* Informants: For those who don't want to 'LIVE' in the pride.. but still want to have a tie/or alliance with the 'Nera. A new rank was created for those rogues who do not wish to join, but are extremely important to the 'Nera... Informants are treated semi-better than new rogues. They HAVE to have their face covered before entering the lands but they may go in and out, and YES they still have to take the OATH not to say a word.
* Rogues can get a cert listed as informants with a jrp. But they don't have to LIVE in the 'Nera. A list will be made with the names of special informants and where they are located. |
