So my computer is being a colossal bag of dicks. AGAIN. >:C Before it was like "I DON'T WANNA BOOT UP WINDOWS" Now it's like "UNMOUNTABLE HARD DRIVE LOLOL" I just want to ******** SCREAM!!!!!!! (I'm using my phone to type this fyi which also kinda sucks)
I can't afford a new computer right now dammit! And I need it for work so it better shape up soon or I'm ********>

Sounds like either a cable is faulty/loose, or your hard drive is going bad.
Double check your connections to your HDD, and replace the SATA cable if you can. If that doesn't fix it, you need a new hard drive.

Lord-of-the-flies Sounds like either a cable is faulty/loose, or your hard drive is going bad. Double check your connections to your HDD, and replace the SATA cable if you can. If that doesn't fix it, you need a new hard drive. It's the hard drive. No doubt in my mind, it is most certainly the hard drive. It's... dying a slow and horrible death... I'm using lubuntu on an SD card right now and it's doing a badblock check and..... woof. Is bad. Is real bad. I'm getting long consecutive chunks of bad blocks showing up on the list.
Honestly, getting a new hard drive isn't that big a deal. At least it isn't an issue with the motherboard or something, otherwise I'd be rightly ******** concern is getting my files 'cuz dammit I don't want to lose those! Given the state of my drive though, I don't think I'll be able to get them back... :'C

They have the equipment to pull data off drives, even if sections are physically damaged.
