Class Elective Changes
If you have not yet noticed, several changes have just been made to your class electives. Namely, six classes are being taken away. Why? Because those classes could either be integrated within another class, or because that class had such little interest in it. Either way, by eliminating these classes, we are hoping to ease the workload on some of our guild members and their more ambitious characters. Which means, less classes to post in, and less OWL's/NEWT's to take at the end of the year.
If your student is taking Muggle Art / Muggle Music / Muggle Mythology, you have the option to switch over to the magical version of that class and NOT have to double up. Meaning, if you're a fourth year and you had Muggle Art II, you will not have to take both Art I and Art II, like you normally would if you did not originally take Art. (You are not required to change over, it is optional. You may drop the class entirely so long as you maintain your minimum requirement.)
Third, fourth and fifth years must still have a minimum of two electives. If one of your two electives have been removed, you must choose another in order to maintain your seven elective standard. (This is your one free chance to choose another elective and not have to double up like in the scenario described above.)
Job requirements will be altered if one of these electives were required. For instance, Cursebreakers will no longer require Ancient Studies, etc.
These are the classes we will no longer teach in our guild:
Ancient Studies
Cooking With Magic
Muggle Art
Muggle Music
Muggle Mythology
World Studies
Fifth and Seventh years DO NOT need to take the OWL's/NEWT's for any of the classes listed above.
