When she was thirteen, she was sold when her mistress and master died. Clementine had been a slave all her life, going from one master to the next- some abusive, some kind. She wasn't sick, after all. ◞ ★ ━For a while, they merely sent her to boarding schools, where they wouldn't have to see her. Saige realized early on that her parents were afraid of her magic, so did her best to suppress it by avoiding drawing. However, it was miserable, so she started to draw again, so carefully- she found out over time that if she added a rune somewhere on her drawings or paintings, they wouldn't come to life, so began doing that. However, nothing lasts forever, and Saige's parents couldn't afford to keep sending her away to school. So, when she returned home when she was fourteen, she was met by slavers... her own parents had sold her into slavery. ◞ ★ ━Saige spent the last four years a slave, knowing that she would just be sold again or passed along to someone else eventually. She never stopped caring for others, although she did stop trusting them. She hopes that one day she can trust again, however.
