Elsie was seated rather casually at her desk when the seventh years entered. "Since you're all adults, I'm going to treat you as such," she began while she marked off who was in attendance and who was not. "This class will be entirely review, and I cannot force you to review anything you don't want to. My current plan is to devote our remaining class time to reviewing the charms of third year onward. If you weren't proficient with first and second year charms you wouldn't have made it to this level of the class. I have materials all up here for you to come and take and practice on as you like- dolls and dummies for the cheering charm, household items for carpe retractum, a bunch of toys to change the color of, and plenty of candles to light and then extinguish with glacius. Take whatever you want at your leisure. Any questions or concerns, let me know." There was no point in her hovering over them like a mother hen; if they needed her help, they would ask. And she had plenty of papers to grade in the mean time.

Fianna made sure to get to Professor Shoichet's class in good time, not wanting to be rushed, or give her teacher reason to think she might be slacking off or not taking her class seriously. Indeed, she needed this class and a good score on her NEWT if she was to continue on her career track. She wasn't complaining about this being a review either, as she wanted all the practice she could get before the exams at the end of the term. Once she was allowed to do so, Fianna collected a candle and a couple of the household items before returning to her desk. She made a point of setting her wand aside, and started practicing her spells, casting them wandless. The exercise gave her the chance to work on her focus, and train for two classes simultaneously.

She did keep a slightly warier eye on the students, given the fact that she didn't want any engorgio charms going awry and leaving her with a massive teapot to take care of.

Elsie was almost glad she was teaching the seventh years in the middle of the week; she wouldn't have wanted to have them on a Monday, or on a Friday. But they'd all signed up to be here, so she wasn't really anticipating many problems. She stood up with a small sigh as the one o'clock bell began to ring, and checked the board; in one corner the class rules were neatly outlined; in another the homework assignment, in yet another the supply list, and in the final corner, a doodle that looked like it had been scrawled by a student and smudged over, as the students began to enter the room. When the small class was seated, she addressed them. "Good afternoon everyone, and welcome back to Hogwarts for the final time. I'm afraid there's really not that much left for me to teach you- except to prepare you properly for your NEWT this year. As there is no seventh year curriculum, this year will be devoted to review of prior material and practice for the exam." She stood up, walking around from behind the desk, a piece of parchment in hand. "Now is the perfect time for any questions or concerns about the NEWT, especially if you are unfamiliar with how it differs from the OWL."
