The battle had occurred a number of moons ago and the news had been rather alarming - though in likely the most pleasant of ways. Kluna hadn't a thing against the previous Warlord, but to see a female in the rank made her proud.

Today was the day that she hoped to finally be greeted by the new Warlord in all of her glory. The reality was that she would have been plenty busy right after such a fight and clearly she hadn't any injury that was to pressing for Kluna to view or even one of her other priestesses.

"Styl?" The dark lioness beckoned as she entered their large den that was well maintained. It was necessary to be organized in her position, one never knew when a certain article would be called upon and Kluna was proud of how well everything was put together. When her companion did not respond her pleasant charm turned rather stormy, like her pelt. Fortunately her stormy attitude was much like that of a true storm the pride was used to seeing - only certain places were struck with lightning and usually only struck once.

Typically those who met the other end of her lightning like verbal attacks wouldn't do whatever it was that angered, but Stylter was not one of them. "Be damned." She cursed under her breath - should the Warlord arrive before her familiar does she may not have everything in order, though they were small details, they meant a fair amount to her to be in it's proper place.

Once she confirmed he wasn't around she began to busy herself with setting away various parchments and bowls.

The Warlord paused as she reached the den. She was fairly certain this was the right place. Svana had never really had much cause to come up here when she had been a Captain. She had gotten the usual blessings for when she took her band out on a viking, but those she always used which ever priestess was most convenient at the time. This would be her first visit to the High Priestess's home.

Pausing to look herself over she grimaced at the wound on her shoulder. Her memento from her fight with the previous Warlord. It had been a deep wound and it was healing slowly. It probably didn't help that she had refused to rest or slow down, spending her days either sparring or seeing to the needs of the pride. Shrugging she figured the High Priestess had likely seen worse injuries before, and a wound in the Myrsky Syntynyt was hardly uncommon. Aside from the jagged line of half-healed skin she was in good health, fit and strong.

Stepping forwards she ducked into the den's entrance after calling out a greeting. After all it was rude to just walk right in. "Hail, High Priestess."

Had it been anyone else that entered her den that way she'd have likely turned, given them a solid stare and encouraged their leave, but knowing the Warlord would possibly be there today she turned with as much of a smile as she could muster and was thankful she did. 'Warlord."

"It's about time we met." Her demeanor was known, the lioness was to the point about most of her tasks and such - though this was important and needed to be done she wasn't about to change for anyone. "Sorry the den isn't as tidy, my companion seemed to have wandered off forgetting you would be coming by, drink?" The High Priestess made a point of having Stylter fetch water before scampering off to wherever he had gone. So at least there was that. Kluna raised her paw to display an area for drinking she prided herself on just how accomodating her home was, but it wasn't just about pride - the various areas where gaps and places were opened made her duties much easier.

The dark lioness took stock of how the Warlord moved, any possible signs of injuries as the High Priestess was certain that Svana wouldn't get the chance to rest up and heal properly in the upcoming days - there would be plenty to do.

"Any notable aches or pains?" She asked briefly, before seating herself a small distance from the watering hole she'd pointed out earlier. At a glimpse she was sure she saw a shoulder injury, but without getting a good look at the other lioness she wouldn't be able to simply assume.

Svana grinned broadly as the High Priestess turned and welcomed her. Stepping fully into the other female's territory Svana waved away the title. "Svana is fine." Following the other lioness the warlord didn't bother to hide her interest as she peered at all the things on display. She had been a brash and proud warrior before her status change, she wasn't about to develop airs and graces because of it. She was no priestess or lawspeaker or bard to worry about such things. So she gazed around as she trailed Kluna and settled where the high priestess indicated. "Indeed it is, and don't worry about that." She replied as she accepted the offer, taking a brief dink before fixing her gaze on the dark lioness. "It's you I came to see. Now, tell me about what you do here. I didn't have very much to do with the priestesses before now." The enquiry over her injuries was received with a shrug. "Of course, but nothing to be concerned over. I'm healing well from the fight."

"Svana."

Kluna said the name as though she were tasting it and seeming to find it of acceptable taste she grinned. It seemed the new Warlord would be down to earth, at least for the time being, refreshing.

When Kluna received the shrug she took it for exactly what it was, there was no reason to read into it any further as all members had their own thresholds of tolerance and the expectation from her was to see that the new Warlord could handle her own - it may be simple things, but so far she was impressed. "So you've sought an audience to find out how we work?" The dark lioness was amused and gently shifted her position for better comfort. "Well, I am responsible for maintaining our stocks and supplies of various medicines - primarily the herbs. Here we also endeavor to train the youthful priestess' that come forward with even the smallest amount of interest or ability."

The thoughts of all the above were driving a wedge into her mood, where had Stylter gone, on tours he'd be there to display some of the material or blab on. She was beginning to understand just how useful her companion was.

"Of course, as you may have guessed we mend any pride member who has fallen ill or to injury. This could mean any number of things, whether it be physical or spiritual. You will hopefully be seeing a higher volume of priestess' during your reign - seeing how a number of youth are beginning to reach their adolescent years we may grow in size." That was her personal hope, sure she had little desire to train any youth, but the need of the pride out weighed that. It would be a priority to begin to sow the seeds of their work as priestesses for one day they may be in her place. There weren't many to take such a challenge just yet, but who knew.

"Is it what you expected?" Her eyes looked to Svana quizzically, unsure if she had touched all aspects of her purposes here, but hoped she had at least settled the mind of her company.

Svana listened attentivly as the High priestess spoke. She also continued to look around, examining the various and sundry supplies that were obviously on display around the cave. Of course she knew the basics of the priestesses, what they did and why, it was part of their pride culture after all, but now that she was Warlord, Svana rather suspected there was a lot more that she hadn't known and that she needed to know to be a successful leader. It wasn't all glory and gold after all, running a pride this large took work. Lots of it.

Nodding along as Kluna spoke, Svana grinned. "I know of several young lionesses who have shown an interest in your profession. No idea if they will eventually train as a priestess, but the interest is there at least." She commented. She was all for youngsters going into the non-militant ranks, though if any showed interest in being reaver, the females especially, Svana was always quick to encourage them. And would happily if not very subtally point them at the possibility of being Captain one day.

"Pretty much." She agreed readily. "I was pressent for a few of the bigger blessings and a couple of weddings, and of course I've seen my fair share for healing and predictions." It was common for a Captain to seek out a priestess for a blessing or a prediction for a viking they were planning. Svana was no exception.

But she was not here just to ask questioins and pass the time, she also had a job to do herself. "Aside from an uptake of youngsters to teach, is there anything you and your priestesses need?

The attentiveness was appreciated by the high priestess who watched Svanas eyes wander her home. When interest was brought up she nearly smiled, a rare sight. "That is wonderful news." Kluna admitted with a much more cheerful tone. "To have new blood join the non-militant ranks would be stupendous."

The Warlord was very well versed in the ranked appointed to Kluna, she was pleased by this and thus didn't press that particular part of their conversation and so she was able to move on comfortably to the next questions Svana wished to discuss.

"Perhaps more stock?" Her blue eyes peered towards stocked shelves, not over flowing with product, but stocked enough to be satisfied. "Though our shelves look perfectly stocked that may change in a moments time." Blue eyes returned to the Warlord. "My only request is that when the bands leave to do their business, if they could collect various items for us? Or we could join them and look for the items ourselves." Kluna didn't feel as though she needed to gain permission, it was very likely she could have gone freely, but if the Warlord was aware it may make things easier.

She wondered about Svanas thoughts on allowing the non-militant ranks travelling, but kept the thought to herself.
