✯✯✯✯The Old Digital World✯✯✯✯

══════ ►The World That Was◄ ═══════════════

In the beginning the Digital World a savage place, all creature battling to become the strongest. Survival meant Digivolution and defeating your fellow Mon. As time went on the stronger Digimon formed groups and became the ruling class known as Titled Digimon, each group stronger than the one before. Eventually the World settled into a time of Peace and Order as all Digimon grew to understand the natural balance of the World. This would not last however.

The Ruler of the Digital World, Yaggidrasil, decided that the World had become such a great place that they should share it with the ones who had unknowingly created it. Slowly they began inviting humans into the Digital World, communicating with them through emails. At first the process was random and the humans that were brought over were frightened of what they saw and asked to return home. That was until they discovered a group of computer scientists who couldn't believe what was being shown to them.

These first humans cherished the opportunity to study and explore the world but soon realized that it would be dangerous to spend time in the Digital World with no protection. Yaggidrasil solved this problem by creating the first Digivices and giving each human a Digimon to protect them. Thus began the age of Tamers. Both the Digimon and Tamers began to notice that the Digimon who were partnered with Digimon were able to Digivolve at a much fast rate. Yaggidrasil, desiring even stronger Digimon to rule over, began bringing even more Tamers to the World and giving them partners of their own, even allowing some to have more than one Digimon partner.

In time as with all good things and dark twist would follow. Both Digimon and Humans desired the power that came with a Digivice. They began using the devices for their own agendas, Digimon who wanted to overthrow Yaggidrasil and rule in his place, Tamers who wanted to enslave Digimon and use them for profits to become rich and powerful. Wars began to break out in the Digital World, the number of Titled Digimon began to increase each claiming to be the greatest. Yaggidrasil grew silent as he watched the chaos that had been allowed to happen. He knew not all Digimon and humans were bad but they had reached a point where someone might actually accomplish their goal. Something had to be done.

After the Destruction of Network City, Yaggidrasil knew the time had come for a change. Gathering his four Sovereign Digimon they began to remove Tamers from the Digital World and permanently locking them out from access. The old Digivices would no longer work and the power of the humans would be removed from the world.

As a further precaution Yaggidrasil decided that the Digital World would need to be reset to a basic level. That would mean all the Digimon, cities and would have to start over. Thus the Digital World was reborn, free of humans, war and greed.

✯✯✯✯The Current Digital World✯✯✯✯

══════ ►The DRF Era◄ ═══════════════

After a year or so of researching ways to get back to the Digital World a young Tamer was finally able to create a tear into the Digital World, but only for a short time. Ready to return to the the Digital World he entered the portal to the New Digital World. Upon entering through the portal he stood before the great and powerful Yggdrasil and unrecognizable World. Yaggdrasil question him about how he had entered the World reminding him that Humans had been banned from this world forever. In the Digital World it had been Hundreds of years since the great reset. The Man pleaded with Yaggdrasil for hours until the god of the world struck a deal with the man. He told him that he would be sent back out but if he managed to find a concentrated way back in Yaggdrasil would allow humans to return to the Digital world once again, but unlike before they would be restricted and this man would be responsible for making sure Chaos did not return with the humans. Instantly the man was transferred back to the Human world and the rip between worlds vanished.

Upon returning to the Human World the man knew what he had to do. He began getting in contact with a few old friends from the Digital World and they worked out a plan to put all their money and efforts into returning and regulating Tamers in the Digital World. They began the company that would become known as the DRF. A year in they discovered a discarded project that had been left as free source online from the Xsoft company. Looking into it they decided the project could be used to return. The contacted Liam Crones, the designer of the program and asked him to come work with them to make the portal work, not fully informing him of what they were trying to do. After months of trial and error they finally successfully managed to travel back to the Digital world. The man appeared again before Yaggdrasil and a contract was stuck that the DRF would be allowed in if they followed Yaggdrasil's restrictions on what Tamers were allowed to do. He allowed them more freedom with the people they trusted but even so the Royal knights kept a close watch over the happenings of the DRF in the Digital World.

New restrictive Digivices were created that would only allow the more experienced and trusted Tamers the ability to grow stronger in the world. An invitation went out to all former Digidestined to return to the Digital world. They also invited those who showed promise as well as a few of their financial backers and designers. Humans had returned to the Digital World and they had a new World to explore and Discover.

The young man who was now president of the DRF placed a team in charge of the Human DIgimon interaction so that he could run things from secret inside of the DRF's home-base. During this time of the DRF mission became common place to prove that you were a worthy tamer and to increase your rank as a DRF agent. Soon mysterious instances began occurring. Normally peaceful Digimon began attacking other Digimon and even some Tamers. The DRF launched multiple missions to discover the cause of these changes in behavior. Reports came in that the behavior seemed to cease when the Digimon was neutralized.

Further investigations revealed that a human was possibly behind the rampages. On one of the missions the team recovered a Digimon as well as the devices that seemed to be controlling these Digimon. These Devices also contained Data which when decripted could be traced back to the DRF.

After a bloody investigation the Captains believed they had finally cut off the head of the snake but as it turned out this was only the beginning of the darkest times in Digi-World History. The attacks were coming from within the DRF, an organization operating in secret who's goal was to control the Digimon and humans and become the rulers of the Digital World.

In the end the DRF Captains took different sides, some fighting for their company and some fighting to protect the Digital World. As the resistance forces reached the Presidents chambers they discovered the truth. The young man who had created this company was none other that Lief Pyrex, a Tamer who was believed dead in the Old World. As it turns out he had not died but been possessed by an evil virus who's only goal was to destroy the Digital World. The Resistance managed to separate Lief from the virus and vanquish it once an for all. Thus ended the DRF.

══════ ►The Unity Era◄ ═══════════════

The evil vanquished it was time for a new contract to be made between the Humans and Yaggdrasil. The DRF was official dissolved, the structure of such a company had made it to easy for the evil to hide. Instead it was decided that the Digital world would be governed by a body of leaders. The Tamers were allowed to stay with the stipulation that Digimon and Humans would work together for the betterment of the Digital World.

A council was formed with the leaders of newly forming Guild leaders and the leaders of each of the Great Digimon Families. This council would work together to monitor and protect the digital world. All their action would then be directly overseen by Yaggdrasil and the Sovereigns and their enforcers.

This new relationship has allowed for a peaceful rebuilding of the world and the birth of new locations. Without the rules of the DRF to hold people back exploration and innovation has increase exponentially. New Tamers enter the world every day and a more natural relationship between humans and Digimon has returned to the world. Some say it reminds them of the Old Digital World.
