Personalities:

Elsa was studying at the University of New Orleans, working on an Undergrad in Biological Science encourage by her Uncle Joseph who took her in and taught Biology in high school.

Given her up bringing she has some issues with abandonment and hates being left behind or left out for fear of it being a repeat of her father leaving and her mom falling apart.

She has a somewhat nervous disposition about it, but gets excited where science is involved as it was something she did share with her uncle. This is one thing her and her weapon both agree on though Elsa leans towards DNA, mutations, and things like that where Enzo prefers the idea of cutting things open and poking about.

A very 'old school' approach to medicine and science that disgusts Elsa for how messy it is.

Where Elsa views mistakes as a chance to grow and learn Enzo is more critical. A mutation is new and interesting to her where for him its a mistake that should be corrected.

Why did your human character choose to become a Hunter?

Elsa joined Deus after a series of events where explained to her later on in her life part way through college. She was born January 12th 1994, at the age of 4 her father Emrich Strider left the his wife Katherine, he simply left one night leaving a letter saying the bills where paid and he was moving away as he simply was not dedicated to the marriage. This of course destroyed Katherine leading to substance abuse and later passing away in 1998 having never re married. This left her living with her fathers brother Joseph in New Orleans

The reality was her father left for Deus prior to the 1999 incident.His death during this event was later used to influence Elsa into joining Deus Ex after she failed to secure a scholar ship to continue attending college for Biology, offers of being allowed to continue studies in biology, learn the truth of her father and 1999 where enough to convince her to join after a few attempts.
