In the quaint little hamlet of Star Grove, a happy little village full of busy pae, is the most important destination in all of Telrunya. For this village, nestled in the jungle on the riverside, several miles down stream from Mereth Falls, is the home to the island's only water mill. Pae come from all corners of Terunya to get their wheat milled, coffee ground or cacao processed. Star Grove also has a healthy supply of flour and ground coffee to offer visitors, tradesmen, and locals.

However recently, a few rogue Aquatls (water fairies) found the wheel and were a little too eager to turn it into their own playground. They returned nightly until the wheel fell of it's axle. They have since scarpered, leaving the town vandalized.

This waterwheel is integral to pae life now, so it has to be fixed.

Starry and Dameon, as founders and leaders of the Star Grove community, it is your job to not only fix the waterwheel, but recruit others to aid in the repair.

((This is and ORP Bulletin that anyone can join, as long as it relates to the topic. Those with a vested interest in the wheel might want to help fix, as two pae cannot do it on their own.

This RP is considered part of the metaplot as it involves a very important resource to the pae. This isn't an RP with prompts to lead characters, it is up to them to find a solution.))

(Le Gasp! Broken Water Wheel!)

User Image"Mmmn." She stretched, wrapping her arms around Dame. Half conscious, she nuzzled in, kissing whatever bit of skin she could find. Was so nice, warm, and cozy. If it weren't for the sun peeking out from behind the trees their home was happily hidden in, she'd stay there all day. Plenty of ways to keep the pair occupied...

The sun, however, was insistent on rising, not letting them sleep at all. Starry groaned quietly, shifting to kiss the best husband on the isle awake. They had a day to get on with, starting with whatever she'd fixed the night before for breakfast. Grumbling, the dark blue femme sat up, rubbing her eyes. "Why do mornings never get any easier?" She huffed to herself, trying to shake thoughts of sleeping in out of her mind. That had gone out the window so so many seasons ago when Shageki and Junior had first been conceived. Finally freeing her mind of errant thoughts, Star bent to kiss her husband once more. Dame always got up about the same time as her. Often times he was out of bed first. Or awake first. He was her bright sunshine in the mornings.

"Breakfast is ready." She murmured, placing another loving kiss before climbing over him to get out of their bed.

(The perfect time to join a town. When there is crisis!)

Pelagious stretched his lithe tooshy upward to the sky as he brought his head down to the ground. He held that position for a full minute before gracefully pulling himself down and up. He breathed a sigh of relief. He loved his morning Yoga. There was something about greeting the sun with as many different positions that his body would allow that just settled him in his bones. Plus, he had doscovered that Pū liked to sleep late. So his routine has changed to accomadate her tardy habits. She seemed a lot lesss cranky that way.

He shuddered as he moved into another position, this time, lifting his both feet up into something he named 'the boomerang'. He couldn't remember exactly what that rainbow faun had called it (and lets face it, that rainbow colored wacko wasn't all there so who knew if it was even the correct name) but it made his abs hard enuff to deflect a boomerang. And it kinda looked like one too.

Speaking of tardy, tho..... He needed to find his missing knives. Everytime he mamaged to pilfer one, it was pilfered right back from him. It wasn't right to have your stolen goods burgled from you. Plus, he didn't want anyone getting hurt. Although, after that last encounter with the bird, he'd almost welcome it.

He shuddered again at that evil, blood covered thought and shifted back into a downward dog before transitioning again into what he liked to call his pre-summersault form. Which was basically him sticking one leg as high in the hair as he could get it. Feeling the muscles stretch, he smiled happily.

This was the life.

With a yawn the size of an orange and a stretch that could rival a cheetah, little Mekbuda, or "Buddy" as his family calls him, smacked his little lips together and opened his eyes. He scratched his head and glanced around in his little toddler haze. He tried to shake his twin brother awake then spotted the empty bottle between them. He picked it up and tossed it against the front of the crib.

"Buster let's go. I need coffee." Buddy brought his arms up to shield his arms from the sunlight. "We need to look into fixing that." he mumbled as he tied a knot on two spots of his blanket and swung it over the top of the crib. "Wake up! No more late-night bottles for you, dude. We have work to do." Buddy tried to shake his brother.

Like magic, wherever the babies fell asleep, they always woke up in this pen. They had to break out every morning. It was an exhausting pattern.

((Things in BLACK are what Buster is really doing. Things in DARKGOLDENROD are things he thinks he is doing. ))

User ImageA snot bubble popped all over Mebsuta's face as his twin shook him out of his deep sleep. His eyes blinked open before squinting at the light across his face. He gave a soft baby grunt, waving his chubby arms above his head trying his best to block the light. He turned his head towards his twin, watching the bottle fly. He sniffled slightly, holding back tears at the noise.

”Gods you are the worst to wake up next to,” Buster muttered, as he sighed and rolled over. What was this dark magic that continued to berate them this way? Every morning was the same thing, waking up to this cage! Who and what were trying to contain them? Ah well, they knew the ropes by now.

He watched the other toss the blankets over the side of the crib, “Gee, Buddy, what are we going to do today?” he said mildly sarcastic. The other was always up to something though he couldn't complain. It was generally something fun. He picked up the bottle, sucking on it a second to check for any droplets, before tossing it over his shoulder and pushing himself up to follow his twin.

Buddy got up onto his feet, little legs wobbling. Hand to hand he managed to get next to the blanket. He paused a moment and put a little chubby finger into his nose.A tiny smile at the side of his mouth as the finger came out. Afterwards he slowly took hold of the blanket and gave it a tug. Tight enough, the toddler climbed to the top. It wasn't really that far of a climb for a todler, but he strained and grunted as he got over the top and let himself slide down the blanket to the floor. he put his little finger in his mouth and looked around.

"C'mon dude.We have to beat the giants to the kitchen." Buddy's personal assistant, a squirrel named Dave, was ready to go.

After grabbing his little squirrel plushie and toddling over to the toy box. Head first, he tipped in as he rooted around looking for something very specific. Lil Buddy kicked his feet as he pushed himself back to get out of the toybox. In his hand was a small little fairy doll, likely a hand-me-down from his many older siblings.

He put the little fairy doll up to his hear. "Yes, we'll be there soon. Buster needs to get out of bed." Buddy glared towards the crib. "I want a cup of coffee and a 'nana waiting for when I show up. Yes, mhm. Yes, do that. Okay, I gotta go." He took the fairy doll down and toddled towards the half open door. "Buster, the honey cart is coming in today so we need to prepare the storehouse."

So warm, so comfortable. He could stay there forever. Arms wrapped around his red headed wife. When she stirred, so did he, his body used to this routine. Sometimes he'd wake before her, but who ever awoke first would inevitably wake the other. It was like a sense. He swore every day they became more and more in tuned. "Mmm...But the bed is soft and there's so many chores." He grumbled before stifling a yawn. Slowly his blue eyes opened to her kiss before dragging his body out of bed.

A half hearted step while grabbing his brush on his bedside table, quickly running it through his long, long hair. His hairs length was nothing to snort at. It was longer than Starrys, and most females he met! Then slowly out the door. The demon knocked on the doors he passed, rousing his children for their own chores. Koit, Sofria, Soliel. Whose turn was it to check on the quadruplets? Yesterday...yesterday...I woke first...got out of bed...Since I was first up, I got the bottles. "Star..." He abruptly was cut off with a yawn. He shook his head, trying to clear the sleepiness from his brain. "Your turn for bottles." Better hurry on that else they'd find the boys out in the hallways again.

User Image

Noise. She did not like noise. At a distinct noise of bottle hitting crib, Taiyo's eyes popped open. What woke her? She did not like! And her diaper was full and squishy! DID NOT LIKE! Too many things she did not like. The baby began to cry, only vaguely aware of her sister beside her and her brothers squirming in the crib opposite to theirs. DID NOT LIKE DID NOT LIKE! If she cried enough sometimes the things she did not like went away.

User Image

Head in pillow, arm draped over the side of her bed, Soliel was snuggly in dreamland. Oh Remy! I mean, if you WANT to kiss a bit longer we can~ Dad doesn't know.

KNOCK KNOCK

With a gasp, the demon pressed down with both arms to raise herself. But there was only air under her left arm, and the uneven push from her right sent her tumbling over to the floor below. "ACK!" Who, what, why? Oh...ughhhh...Guardians I'm an idiot. Soliel lifted a hand to her face as she assessed the situation. Tangled in blankets, legs up on the bed, torso on the ground. And she had to count the storage barn today. Well. Today was starting out fantastic. She pushed down on her blankets while wiggling to free herself.

"Oh Goddess!" She squeaked, jumping into action. Dame was right, she'd gotten up first, her turn to get the bottles. "On it!" Star called back, all but rushing to the kitchen. Guardians and Goddess only knew how far along the boys were in their daily mischief. Everyone needed diaper changes, bottles, and just general love.

A sigh of relief escaped her lips as she walked into the kitchen. Exactly the way she'd left it the night before. Star grabbed the premixed bottles from the night before, thanking her lucky stars that they'd managed to get enough together to handle the quadruplets and still have extra bottles for overnight preparedness. "Soliel! Wake your sister, it's time to get on with the day." Star called to the younger of the girls, making her way to the nursery.

"There are my littlest stars~" She cooed, scooping up Buddy as he attempted to make his escape. "Not today Sweetie." Star winked, juggling a few too many bottles and a squirmy infant. In a great feat of practice, Star managed to set down, or rather drop, two bottles into the boy's crib, followed by the escape artist in her arms. "Bottle first, then exploring time." She gently pressed her finger to Buddy's nose, leaning down to kiss Buster's forehead. Taiyo was screaming, the boys were escaping, who knew what Kyuten was doing.

Unable to keep an eye on all four of them at once, Star turned her back on the boys, scooping up Taiyo for the much needed diaper change.

User ImageKyuten sniffled, trying not to cry. Yoyo was so loud! "Bah!" She huffed, rubbing her eyes with an open hand. Why did everyone else have to be so loud? Kyuten wiggled her way into a sitting position to stare at her siblings. Ugh, Buster and Buddy were breaking out again. Why didn't they ever offer to take her with them? Was it because she had to spend the night in the cage with Yoyo?

Kyuten huffed, looking betrayed at her brothers across the room.

User ImageSiofra grinned, watching Lelly fall out of bed. "Lelly, you okay?" She asked, helping the beautiful demon before her out of the furs. Her twin.

"Sure thing Mom!" Fra returned, shrugging to Soliel. How was it that Mom was always spot on with who woke up first? Lelly was just too sweet to watch sleep. She was probably dreaming about -Remy- again. "Remy?" She asked, looking to her other half. It was always Remy. Oh ugh, she was supposed to be grinding things in the mill today.

Buster's eyes slowly started to slip closed again, lulling back into a sweet sleep. He was standing currently, slowly starting to wobble this way and that about to hit the bed, when his brother exited. It shook it slightly, causing him to jerk awake. His lower lip popped out grumpily, as he gripped the rails and growled.

Uhg the giants. Always spoiling their plans! Yeah, yeah, he was up so he might as well continue with the plan. He could hear his brother talking about him, rolling his eyes at the other as he started to trudge his way towards the escape rope. Oh, wait, the noise maker was still going at it. He'd better deal with that first. He made a sharp turn and headed to the front of the crib. He pulled up the mattress and began to rummage through the secret stash. It wasn't long before he pulled out a wooden bow and arrow, the arrow having a blunted and soft edge, more suited for 'kids' to play with. It didn't matter, he wasn't looking to cause harm.

He pulled something out along with it, a sticky substance that looked to be oozing. The color was off, but he didn't give it a second thought as he slapped it right on the end of it. This should do it. He got back up and waddled over to the edge of the bed, made his aim, and let the arrow fly. He laughed in triumph as the arrow made it's mark, sticky ooze and all slamming against Taiyo's mouth. Let's see her try and cry around that now!

He tossed the bow and arrow back into the stash, making his way back to the blanket when- no! Drat! They'd taken up too much time. He pulled in the blanket to hide the escape route, hanging onto the edge to see what would become of his brother. Yep, just as he thought, back to jail for him. At least it came with more drinks!

Buster grinned up at his mom excitedly, making grabby hands at her as a bottle came his way. He plopped back down onto his bottom, stuffing it into his mouth and chugging happily. He watched her move about with wide eyes, taking it all in.

Buster jabbed his brother in the ribs, nodding towards Star as she turned her back to them. A diaper change, a perfect distraction! It would be just enough time to exit through the secret tunnel. He tossed his bottle to the side, crawling his way towards the end of the bed opposite the secret stash and lifted the edge of the mattress. It was a tight fit, what with them both starting to fill out, but with a good wiggle he managed to make it through and plop down onto the ground under the crib. He peeked out from under it, eyeing Star and the door, estimating the distance and the chance of success.

Buddy heard the soft footsteps in the hallway and tried to run, as fast as a toddler could. But he fell flat on his face. He pushed himself up only to be scooped up by momma and dumped in the cage again. He raised a tiny little fist at Yoyo. But when momma handed him the bottle he fell on his little diapered butt to eat.

He watched Buster for a moment before discarding the bottle and following.

"That was brilliant, Buster!" He spoke of the arrow across the room to the other cage. "Where did you get that!?" Following his brother, he used the escape hatch on the other side of the cage, the one the other prisoners couldn't see. He crawled under the cage and found Dave still waiting for them. "Hurry! We only have seconds before the alarm goes off."

Buddy went for it. He hoped Buster was behind because he made it to the hallway. The little tot pushed himself against the wall, breathing hard from the adrenaline rush.

He stood very still as he felt the warm squish on his bottom. His little eyes darting back and forth looking for guards. "Dave, let Buster know we have a problem." Buddy let out a little baby sigh and pulled the front of his diaper open to have a peek. He squinted at the smell. But he couldn't run with a heavy diaper. But it could serve as a distraction for the giant. Yes!

Buddy threw his squirrel plushie at Buster. And he didn't waste any time wiggling out of this diaper in the hallway, just outside the nursery door. He put his hands in the mess and turned his head, disgusted. The little tot wiped his hand on the wall.

At her sisters voice, Soliel slowly looked over to where her sibling slept.

Busted.

She deeply blushed before letting a tiny smile creep on. "...Yeah." She lifted her head up at her mothers calling. "OK MOM!" Followed by a laugh. Siofra was already up! Wiggling a bit more, she eventually got to her feet. "Come on frafra. Lets get some breakfast." Food first, then wash up, then...chores. Ugh. Chores. Throwing her blanket back onto the bed, she made her way out of the room.

Star was a flurry of motion, and he just...wasn't. He was a little slower waking up, pulling out the plate of fruit. Where did she put the coffee beans? They weren't on the regular shelf. "Star?" He spoke down the hallway, but didn't expect to hear anything. She was busy with the kids. Might as well go to her. With another yawn, he shuffled back down, giving a nod to Soliel as she popped out. Wait.

Did he see movement at the toddlers room? Even if he initially missed the small yellow blob, he certainly caught the poop on the wall. As he continued to walk down.

"Oh Goddess, Buddy you little poo artist!" Toddlers could not run fast thankfully. And a poo covered wall, and a poo covered hand made it obvious what happened. With a sigh, he scooped up Mekbuda. "Never a dull morning with you is it? Star, are we out of coffee?" Now he had to give the tot a bath before he could eat. Never a dull morning.

In her mothers arms, Taiyo began to quiet. No thanks to her mean brothers. Look at Buster growling! What a baby! And SHE was the one crying! With her dirty diaper being taken care of, she finally stopped her tears. But now she was awake, and her blue eyes started to wander. Hungry...She was decidedly hungry. When she woke up she typically was. And bored. Now that she didn't have the things she didn't like any more, she was bored. What to do with her time? The demon started to nibble at her hand. That was kind of fun.

Siofra grinned, following her sister. "Oh ew. What are those babies up to?" Her grin turned into a disgusted frown. She loved her littlest brothers and sisters, but really? There was poop on the wall! Poop! She sighed, catching a glimpse of Dad rounding the corner to the bathroom.

"Mom, do you want me to make coffee?" She asked, sticking her head into the nursery. What should have been her room. Too many babies for that to happen. "Dad's washing..." Siofra looked through the room. "One of the boys." She finished, missing the familiar smell of delicious bean juice early in the morning.

"Dame, let Siofra make the coffee." She returned the line. Dame made the most delicious coffee, but if the girls were offering to make the morning a little smoother, how could she refuse? One of the boys? Star's head whipped around to spot an empty crib. How did they keep escaping? "Please, Siofra. Where did you put the beans last?" She asked, eyes on Taiyo once more. Gently, she pulled the hand out of the toddler's mouth, offering instead, a bottle. "Try this Little Taiyo." She cooed, working quickly to remove the soiled diaper. Star gave a mental sigh, she needed to do laundry.

"Taiyo, where is your brother?" The mother of many questioned, kissing the toddler's forehead. She'd find him sooner rather than later, but until then... Where was Koit? She'd not heard his voice yet this morning

"Koit!" Star momentarily abandoned her post with the babies. Goddess and Guardians could that boy sleep! "Koit it's time to get up. How could he sleep with the rest of the house already up and starting their days?

Kyuten stuck out her bottom lip, seemingly forgotten by Yoyo, Buddy, and Buster. Where was the fun in that? She'd cry if it would get her anywhere. The tiny demon's eyes scanned the room in the best way they could. Yoyo was getting her bottle. Buster got his. The giant called Mom was missing her head. Kyuten finally spotted the one shining bottle with her name written all over it. On wobbly, chubby legs, Q grabbed the bars of her cage and pulled herself up. She was getting that bottle.

Waddling, entirely off balance, Q made her way to the edge of her cage and reached as far as her chubby arms could stretch. Almost there! "Bah!" She huffed, plopping on her butt. How to get that bottle... !! She grinned, searching the cage for the nasty thing Buster had thrown at Yoyo. There it was! Something sticky. Q giggled, reaching the sticky thing out to the bottle and just barely touching it. Success! Kyuten tried pulling it back, missing her mark and tumbling onto her back. That darn bottle was still sitting there. Right where she'd almost snagged it.

Koit... was not a morning pae.

And he had never been a morning pae.

Today was no different.

It took until the third calling for him, a routine probably second-natured to the house members by now, before he began to stir and sleepy eyes slowly lifted up. To the left, then the right, they scanned the room without his body lifting at all, the gears in his head slowly to fit back together and turn his awareness into focus once more. It looked like nothing had changed in the time he was out.

Good.

Paying no mind to the sound of a commotion outside - he'd learned long ago to simply ignore it - he sat up and stretched his arms before him, wings unfurling and flexing upwards behind him, as grogginess clung to his focus. It was time to get up, he supposed. He'd certainly get called for again soon enough if he didn't. or worse - they might send one of his sisters to get him. THAT never made for a pleasant morning.

Flapping his wings a couple of times to finish stretching out, he kicked his tail to the edge of his bed before taking off towards and past the door. His eyes had a certain glaze to them, as if he still wasn't fully there (he wasn't), as hovered in place for a moment. What a morning, per usual, with the quadruplets being little shits toddlers again. He should probably try and help out the parental units; it'd been made clear long ago that he was to avoid the kitchen in the morning.

Fewer accidents that way.

Flying into the nursery (and waving at Starry if he passed her), he noticed one of the tots acting rather silly and followed her gaze to the bottle. Ah... Okay then. He could do that much. Picking up the bottle, he brought it closer and carefully handed it over to little Kyuten with a lazy, half-aware smile on his lips. "'Ere ya go..."

Two very unamused mules trudged along the road pulling a wagon stuffed with trade. Not only was pulling the load unamusing, but the overactive nymph flitted around them chatting non-stop. After the fourth time hearing the same words, both mules tuned out the voice entirely.

Alma called out her list again, "Condensed alpaca milk, alpaca milk, powered milk, cheese and fibers~" Sing-song list continued as she switched between marching and flying a foot above the ground. "Cotton and eggs to complete the day!" At this point the song was more of a distraction than the trip and what she was supposed to trade for fled her mind.

This was fun, a grand adventure to help her ranch and a huge responsibility. Not getting lost was the first great success!

Upon reaching the village she came to a sudden halt forcing the mules to make a quick stop. The chain reaction caused a racket between braying and clanging around the wagon. Zofie had packed it so nothing broke but the discordance sound announced the visitor to the area all the same.

Was the big wheel supposed to sit like that? Distracted, she tilted her head to the side focused on the construction of the buildings. A wheel was turning now, in her head.
