___The main resort area where examinees are to live in between exams. It includes a large, open area for meals of all kinds. The rooms provided are small, just large enough for one person with a single window and bed, and are allotted on a first come, first serve basis. There is a small library of scrolls up to D-Rank available for use by participants, but there is no designated training area. Enjoy your brief stay in this island paradise!

The boats moored themselves at a small dock not far from a resort town. One proctor waited on shore to explain to the new arrivals what was what on the island. There were to be a variety of battles starting the following week; in the meantime, participants would be staying at a resort-like area with access to scrolls up to D-Rank, three meals a day, and a small room for each person. After hearing the match-ups, the assembled shinobi would be left to their own devices, with promises of further details on the fights when the time came.

Shinji had been a bit surprised that literally everyone, that he had seen at least, picked the same choice. Maybe it was pack mentality, maybe they had all just come to the same conclusion. Fortunately for them this was a good thing and instead of everyone missing out everyone had moved on to the next stage. They were informed of what match ups would be happening and eventually get more details.
When it was finally time for them to have free time Shinji made his way to the girl named Unki, his partner for the eventual match. He had never seen the girl in his life before but if they were to work together he wouldn't hesitate to extend the first hand in greeting.
"It's a pleasure to meet you Unki. I don't know what plans you have for our free period before the fights but we should meet in private to discuss our strengths and weaknesses. The sooner the better most likely."
Shinji spoke rather forwardly about everything, there wasn't any real hesitation in his voice. Right now he was entirely focused on the task at hand. Perhaps once they were behind closed doors he'd relax a bit but he knew better then to let his guard down now that they had advanced to the second stage.

How pretty! Nothing but optimism stemming from her first thoughts on the island itself. She was incredibly excited to have arrived. Little comments came on the resort everyone would be staying as Unki seemed more enthused about the tropical view. The trace of nature's beauty was broken upon gaining the information of the matches from an exam proctor. Unki was here with a solid reason, after all and this wasn't some vacation spot to enjoy with a her new team and a bunch of strange shinobi. Her new match partner found her quickly. A little off putting that she was identified so quickly but they did all arrive together thus the matter wasn't overly concerning but more relieving that the work of identifying this Shinji Gami person came easy. "You're Shinji, then? Perfect." A quick bow of her head and sway of her hair leads on before small, cheery laugh in response to his question: "Well, swimming's going to have to be put off them! You're right, though, the sooner the better is best!" She looks around some to gauge her distance of the other competitors. "I can't believe the sun's only been up for a few hours. I wonder if they're serving fruit somewhere? Ah-ah! Sorry, I guess my mind's been on breakfast since the sun's come up!" A bit of a casual air, perhaps, from Unki at least. If she was going to work with this person for a bit she wouldn't want to feel overly tense, especially with this time on her hands. Shinobi business first, ninja nonsense later!

Shinji's features softened a bit as he listened to her. It was quite nice to see someone in such a lively mood.
"Hmm. No sense in discussing anything until you've been fed. Today we'll just relax and perhaps discuss things a bit later, considering we have an entire week. I don't uh know anyone here yet. Mind if I tag along with you for the day? There aren't any other ninjas from the sound village here so I'm a bit out of my element"
He really did feel silly about that. It was mostly due to the population, the sound village being one of the smaller villages overall. He hadn't seen many other genin if at all, so he hadn't been surprised when he was the only one from his village to show up. Unless he had been forgetting someone of course.

Making his way into the resort with Unki he pondered the ramifications of his match. A 1v1 against an Uchiha was going to put him at a significant disadvantage. So much so that he wondered if he would be forced to use "it" against said uchiha. Rubbing his neck absently he was completely unaware of the conversation between Unki and the other man. Which naturally when she stopped he did not, and bumped right into her. Letting out a small sigh he stepped back from her,"Sorry Miss Amano." For the first time since he entered the resort he took the time to look around. The place overall was very very nice. He especially liked the atmosphere it was peaceful and looked quite relaxing. Tapping Unki on the shoulder he smiled,"I'm going to go check in and find my room." With that he headed to the receptionist's desk. Once there he gave the woman his information and much to his, enjoyment? Relief? He was going to be rooming with Unki. So taking his and her key he made his way back over to her key in and and offered it to her,"Room seven. Down the hall on the left."
The details of this island as well as the upcoming test were explained to Xion and the rest of the exam participants. She had no idea who these people she was going to fight with were, but they had already been given nicknames: Shoe, Hot Soup (or Hot for short), and Plum. Now, she just needed to figure out who they were. Restraining herself from screaming out to locate Shoe, Xion listened quietly for mentions of the others, putting her sensitive hearing to good use. She wanted to at least know what they sounded like.

Blind Resolution Personal Attribute [ Xion was born blind, a curse placed upon her for her parents' faults. For that reason, she will never experience sight. No ocular implant can restore her vision and even genjutsu cannot imitate the sensation of sight for her. In exchange, being blind has rewired Xion's brain to enhance her other senses, primarily the ability for her hearing and chakra sensing to pick out minute details (but not necessarily an increase in what both senses pick up) but also her smell and even touch to gather what little details they can. Using very basic echolocation mixed in with other minute details like the feel of the air on her skin, Xion has a rough idea of her surroundings up to 5 meters away; e.g. enough to pick out someone/thing rushing to her but not enough to understand the details of the approach beyond size, general shape, distance, and direction. She was rather quick to spout a reply about tagging along as her excitement began to tone down: "I'm fine with that! We'd have plenty of time to get acquainted then." The girl has very little knowledge on the nitty gritty details of the inner-workings on the ninja world outside of Kumogakure. She would ponder shortly on whether or not there was some reason holding back ninja who could flourish from Otogakure. At least the Sound was able to send one representative to shine. "Really? Huhm. You must be pretty something good to be here then." There were supposedly at least four, maybe, six who've managed this far from Kumo and she couldn't imagine much on flying through this exam without at least one person to lend her some company. The fact of being the only representative must have been lonely and heavy with responsibility and something like that can weigh on a person, so, Unki would brush the thought aside and tried to change the topic: "So, my tag-along Gami-san, what sor- Eeeh!"

A hopefully accidental abrupt nudge shook her some. He was apologetic at least, so the incident was dismiss-able leaving Unki to politely wave off his error. "I-it's alright...! N-now, why don't you eat breakfast too? Unless you've snuck rations you've been nibbling along with you? There's probably something like an outside dining space to enjoy all of this," she paused, emphasizing the this'ness of their surroundings with her arms spread out and then dropping them when she continued: "we cou-" Between it all, Shiro had dismissed himself to collect a room key and came back with the unusual offer by holding out a key. Her head was still much focused on Shinji as if she were intent on speaking with him, however, Unki cut herself short of conversation allowed her sight drifted to the key in Shiro's grasp.
Unki's voice drags a scraping vowel as she tried to formulate his action. Her key? Her room? Or is this key to his room and he's trusting it to me? Ungluing her sights from the key in question, she returns attention, one-hundred percent, to Shinji and reaches out to take the key in her open palm before stuffing it into some pocket on her person.
"We could eat and unwind some, is what I was trying to say. Let's try that way. We can start looking there." After securing the keys, Unki would offer a commanding gesture to head forward into some entryway ahead. Note to self: find out, exactly, where the keys go. Food first.

Shinji was quiet for the most part, listening to the woman carefully. Her interactions with the other participant who had bumped into her seemed to signal they knew each other so he didn't pay it to much of a concern. He was the stranger here after all. Mentally he had begun to pick out what he'd want to train and when. When her attention returned to him he'd nod in response.
Following her lead he kept to his nose in any attempt to find the food. There had been such a rush that he had forgotten to eat, apparant as his stomach grumbled audibly. His bandaged hand covered his stomach as he gave a nervous chuckle.
"Hopefully they have a lot of food with this many participants. Oh. If we are working together I probably should show you something"
As if to explain his last statement he brought forward his hand with his palm facing towards her and unraveled the bandage wrapped around it. It wasn't apparnt what he meant but once the finally bandage fell away the mouth on his hand opened up to give her a bright smile, tongue slithering out between the teeth before recoiling back inside.
Shinji was quick to begin rebandaging his hand as he spoke.
"It's my bloodline. Though I'm a taijutsu specialist this is a part of me as well. I haven't used them in combat since I was much younger so I don't have a lot of control. Likely I'll take some time this week to train some of the basics with it"
It was quite clear that Shinji seemed almost out right unnerved by the things, for reasons that weren't really clear at the moment.
Chet was thrown off the boat by three men who found him completely wasted in the boat's wine room. Everything was gone. They thought the idiot was dead from alcohol poisoning, but by God he put up one hell of a fight when they tried to pick him up and see if he was alive. After noting his lively hood they all decided to get him off the ship. Making him pay for everything didn't seem possible in his state. They would find him later, however. Watching the boat sail away, Chet covered his eyes from the glaring sun light. "Oh c'mooon. How the ******** am I gonna get back home now?" He cried as he tried getting up. His large bong dangled behind him. Filled with sake as always. A proctor showed up and welcomed every body to the resort. Chet grinned at the thought of that. "More booze for meeeee." He announced in glee before dashing to a bar. The guys he would be fighting didn't matter to him. Strategy made no sense to him. He would go and fight.
Kagerou thought, Of course, she wasn't seriously bothered. In fact, she couldn't even say for sure if she even had the Sharingan. After everything she had been through, it had still not awakened. She didn't think she was emotionally stunted or anything. Then again, maybe she was, A little tired, Kagerou rubbed the back of her neck. The boat ride to the island had cooled down the adrenaline she had felt while rushing late to the test. She had been an idiot in the first part, a lucky idiot, but an idiot nonetheless. She couldn't let that happen again, just like she could let herself just sit back and do nothing again. A tired sigh as she struggled under the abnormal pressure that weighed down her mind. She was so used to being able to calmly deal and sort through her problems that now that the stress had sneakily reached this point, she wasn't quite sure how to functions properly under it. Kagerou had been so proud of recovering from the Sero incident so long ago, but now she saw that what she had done was not enough. She actually had it easy, what with all the time she was given to relax and work to relieve her worries.
A part of Kagerou wanted to just relax and let things take their course. She would try her best, but she wouldn't try to force anything either, which might end up leading to her failing the exams. Of course, as a model student, the thought of failing was unpleasant even under the most favorable circumstances for such thoughts. However, the strangely calm part of her could see the benefits of failing: a lesson well-learned and perhaps a result fitting of her clearly unready emotional state. Maybe she deserved to fail, and as frustrating as the thought was, Kagerou knew that she wouldn't take the fall badly at all. Participating in the exams alone, after all, was a reward in and of itself, and if this exam was anything like its predecessors, then even group stages accounted for the individual's performance.
However, after hearing not a single familiar name, Kagerou felt an obligation to pass the exams. was how her thoughts went, Once the reputation of another, namely the reputation of her village, entered the picture, Kagerou had no choice but to care. She didn't want to force a recovery. To be honest, she was kind of scared of trying to deal with emotional turmoil too quickly. However, . She stared blankly as she received the key to her room from the reception desk, which she had approached while thinking.
Kagerou read the key's label as the receptionist instructed her on how to get to her living accomodations.
Now that she knew where her room was, there was just one thing left to do now in this room. Kagerou had decided on that much. Shouting so the whole room, including her teammate, could hear, Kagerou all but announced, "Kagerou Uchiha is in room 4. Yuna Mugen, please find me either there or in the library when you are ready." Having said what she needed to, she then left the lobby, thoughts still full of what to do and how to do it. That was it. Her brilliant plan was to pretty much just dedicate some time to sorting out her thoughts. Oh, and take advantage of the available scrolls. The security in Kirigakure really made it difficult to learn jutsu as genin. She wanted to take advantage of this rare opportunity for free learning.

• Grand Performance - The user can perform both types of arts (ninjutsu and genjutsu) through their performance or instrument, often casting them at the same time (must pay for both techniques). Can perform D rank techniques through instrument at gennin, C at Chunnin, B at jounin, A at Konin, and S at Sannin.
• Learn Medical techniques one (1) post faster.
• Learn ninjutsu (1) post faster.
• Learn genjutsu one (1) post faster.
• D"eye"versity - Through the use of custom techs, Kagerou can swap between the normally limited abilities and techniques for her sharingan, potentially giving her access to all eye abilities and mangekyou techs. She can never have more than the written limits at any one time (e.g. access to all eye abilities but cannot use more than two at a time). In addition to learning the required custom and whatever additional requirements that custom might have, Kagerou needs to fulfill certain conditions for a safe swap. Each Sharingan ability or technique swapped must be retrained and adjusted to, a process that takes twenty [20] posts at first for each Sharingan ability/technique, is reduced by two [2] posts every time the Sharingan ability/technique is safely retrained, and can take a minimum of six [6] posts per Sharingan ability/technique. If necessary, Kagerou can perform a riskier, instant swap on the fly without the readjustment period, but these swaps can only last for up to five [5] posts and disables the Sharingan, which needs to recover from the strain, for twice [x2] the number of posts that the swap lasted for. Techniques learned with the 'To Copy' Sharingan ability, which can be swapped out, are not forgotten but must be retrained every time Kagerou safely swaps to the 'To Copy' ability. Instant swaps to the 'To Copy' ability give Kagerou all of her copied techniques without needing to retrain them. For every time Kagerou safely swaps to her 'To Copy' ability, her copied techniques take two [2] less posts to retrain, going down to a minimum of one [1] post to retrain each copied technique.
• Miracle Performance - Kagerou can perform healing eiseijutsu through her performance/instrument as if it was ninjutsu of the same rank. When performing healing medical techniques, she can target anyone who can hear her music with the jutsu. I.e. she no longer has to be within touch range of the target to use healing hands.
• The Good Host - 1/2 off all implant chakra requirements.
• Mind and Body - A sound soul resides in a sound mind and a sound body. To ensure the health of all three, Kagerou must master every aspect of medicine. Kagerou gains an additional medical field type. The additional type needs to be trained separately from the first.
• Evergreen Growth - Life always finds a way, especially when it's helped by someone who truly cherishes it. Plants cultivated by Kagerou grow as if the soil they are nourished by is +1 grade higher than it actually is. Unfertilized soil yields crops in 2 rl weeks. Low-grade fertilizer yields crops in 1 week. High-grade fertilizer reaches a new level of fast and yields crops in 4 days. (Post-acceptance note: I just realized that there is an Evergreen religion in this guild. I did not mean for this to be a religious PA in any way. It's just botany. I hope that's not a problem.)

Yuna caught up to Kagerou as she was leaving the lobby. "Hey it's Yuna, how is it going." She said smiling sweetly at her teammate.
Unki, in lead, the hunt for a dining space took their search through the entrance and pass an open archway or two. "I say they'd be nutty not to be prepared. But if not, I bet a little specialized know-how can fix that problem on an island." Shinji's additional comment of admitting to wanting to show her something had her stop in her tracks and answer. His open hand raised and ready for something. The unveiling of a grinning mouth with teeth and all was, undeniably, spooky. At least Unki was given a warning before hand, sorta.
"Woah." Unki was a tad wide eyed and shrugged her shoulders in a meager startle. Even sounded a little rattled. She would look back at to Shinji's face with a guess her reaction wasn't entirely favorable and stumbles an apology: "ah-hah, I don't mean anything rude, of course. You see, my background didn't prepare me for the real extraordinary stuff so the extent of the world is a little blurry to me."
Unki places her hand against her cheek and leaned toward Shinji ; "but I'm glad you told me now before battle or anything! Must be kinda' neat to have another mouth as it sounds easy to make unknown if you need it to be." After a quick glance over her shoulder to make sure no one was nearby, she spoke still in a whisper. A giggle trails in and out over words, "I particularly like showing a bit more than speaking, but I'd say the weather gets a little dry around me. You'll see what I mean later!"
With that, the girl promptly leaves the borders of Shinji's personal space bubble and takes a second to actually look what sort of area the archway they stood near leads into: a fairly casual and inviting indoor dining area with several windows and an exit to outside seating the other side of the room. Unki steps aside and passes through the doorway while fanning Shinji to follow.
A young man in a clean attire, likely a uniform, would welcome them warmly, invited them to take a seat, and ask if they've arrived for breakfast. Unki would nod and press, politely, a hopeful request of fruit with something along the lines of an omelet.

Shinji wasn't quite phased by the comment. After all he half expected a shriek or a scream, not everyone was to fond of his....well to put it simply mouth hands. Himself included. "It's more ironic.
