▶ REBELLIOUS — Ever since their stepmother came to his life, Sujin as a child sees this as if their father was replacing their mother. That's why he refused to warm up on her stepmother and resented his father as a kid. He doesn't like people who tells him what he should and shouldn't do, especially when it was the people he didn't trust enough. This was done as an outlet of him being torn and upset over feeling like he has no control in the situation, as well as being resentful at best. And if Sujin was told by someone he trusts to hold his composure, he would come off as a passive-aggressive and snarky person.

▶ TOLERANT — Normally, Sujin is a mild and good-natured person- enough to help his friends in need but not the type to help strangers left and right. He doesn't mind helping people especially when it means that he could absorb new knowledge from the situation, too. But other than that, he wouldn't mind doing good things to people without expecting anything in return. Of course, he is only kind to the people who are kind to him, otherwise he would just straightly say no if he felt like it.

▶ PESSIMISTIC — As much as he insists that he's only 'realistic', Sujin is quite a pessimist in nature, rooted from his childhood disillusionment. He isn't really the type to say that 'it could get better' or 'we'll get through this'- rather he would think with a half-empty view. He normally thinks that being an optimist is just something that's just going to upset him. Su-Jin, if he could get away with it, would try to pop an optimist's bubble to "break their naivety". It should be noted that he can smile here and there, just don't expect him to be sunshine and rainbows.

▶ INQUISITIVE — Very intelligent and curious at heart, he has a real tendency to ask so many questions for him to learn something new. His head might continue to bug him until something mysterious is revealed to him. He would always read books and even use the computer just so he could search for answers and new facts to know about. This results in him being a total researcher, enjoying investigations and scrutinizing any detail that comes to this path. And if he was content of the info he harvested, Sujin would keep the information to himself for future reference unless he's being asked to share it.

▶ HONEST — Sujin grew up to know that outright lying is wrong and will only break someone's trust, therefore he doesn't mind telling the truth. He doesn't see the point of restraining or repressing himself even if it meant him ending up in trouble- because what matters is that he's being true about it. This pretty much made him tactless at times, and thus landing into trouble frequently. If he's told to keep his head down, expect Sujin to do it in a noticeably begrudging way. Also, Sujin is terrible in telling lies: he's either telling the truth or quiet about it.

▶ SERIOUS — Sujin always has a serious tone in his way of speaking, sometimes even snarky. He doesn't really kid around. He doesn't even like it if someone tries to make fun of him, as he is easily annoyed and it is kind of a sore spot for him. And when someone criticizes him, Sujin takes it really seriously. Especially when it came from the people he truly trusts. So, Sujin does really have the harshest opinion about himself as a result, sometimes even self-deprecating. Overall, he just rarely take things with a "grain of salt".

➥ Background History

▶ CHILDHOOD — Su-Jin Cho is the third child to Hyeong-Jeong Cho and Su-Bin Moon, along with his older brother and sister and another younger sister. For most of his life, eight years of his life to be specific has been good and uneventful for the young boy. He grew up being happy and optimistic as he enjoyed playing with his siblings, especially going on adventures with his sister Gi. He also loves his baby sister Myeong as, like Gi, called her 'Mi-Mi'. However, because he wasn't as bold as his sister, and so he was an easy target for bullies. Su-Jin struggled to fight them off while trying to hold his optimism together that he could get through this.

But recently, things seemed to fall down around him when his parents separated and their father quickly remarried, not to mention that they also have a kid with said woman. Su-Jin couldn't see why would their parents be together when their mother Su-Bin was a kind and good mother to all of them, and why would their father replace her with someone else. That made the young kid upset, and as a result, he blatantly refused to warm up to his new step-mother. Thinking that Sora was going to get a lot of attention because their dad seemed to like their stepmum, Sujin felt subtle dislike for the girl as a result, along with the fact that he started to think that this won't get any better at all. Then, after his brother Ji-Yeong went to Hogwarts, a custody agreement was made that forced Su-Jin to be separated from Ji-Yeong and Gi-Seung. He was left to his father, his stepmother, his spoiled-rotten half-sister, and his youngest sister Myeong. Su-jin began to resent his father as well, as well as refusing to treat Sora as a sister because he thinks that Sora was nothing but a self-centered insensitive brat, as well as thinking that his father showered her with love more than him and Myeong. Thus, Su-Jin only focused his good attention to Myeong and her alone, but bitter to everyone else in the house. While his old siblings do try to sneak out to visit him and Myeong, it will never be enough for Su-Jin. He was counting the days, waiting for the Hogwarts letter to arrive so that he could no longer see his undesirable "parents" and reunite with his older siblings.

▶ SCHOOL LIFE — The moment he arrived in Hogwarts, Sujin didn't expect everything to be so surprising and upsetting. He got sorted to Hufflepuff just like his brother Ji, and while he was content Sujin was surprised that he didn't go to Ravenclaw. On the other hand, he had a huge fight with a fellow housemate named Desiree because of being upset over her brother being in a different house- which was something he found very unreasonable and selfish. It all started when he just muttered something, not expecting Desi to hear it (spoiler: she can, she's half-vampire) and that was exactly how everything went downhill. It left to him being self-deprecating about his sorting, thinking that he didn't have anything Hufflepuff-like to qualify since he wasn't anything like his older brother.

Ji-Yeong then have to come down to the Hufflepuff common room to talk him out since Sujin was more willing to listen to his siblings than everyone else, which thankfully ended well but left Sujin to simmer on having to compose himself instead of being outright blunt. Not the best way to handle composure, but a sign of small improvement. Desi's mother, as he expected, also talked to him- but Sujin was honestly surprised that she really said that "both him and Desi are in the wrong" since he was expecting her mother to full-on take Desi' side since "that's what a mother should do and he wouldn't blame her". So, he just nodded along quietly like his brother told him to- except he had a really hard time having to apologize to Desi like her mother told him to- so it came to the point that Sujin gave up trying and found it fit to avoid her if everything he say was just going to be held against him.

On the other hand, he joined the Art Club and joined the Halloween event because his sister Gi-Seung insisted him to, so he dressed up as a Pokemon Trainer. He spent many times hanging out with a few friends like Rebecca and Detch, not being the type to have a crowd. Eventually during the years, he warmed up a little to his housemates (sans Desi and those annoying Hufflepuffs like Laili and Nani)- since being away from his household actually helped him alot. However, this made him dread of having to come home for the summer, but at the same time he couldn't to leave the house because he has to be there just for Mye.

His summer before third was troublesome; his father was trying to get to his son's good graces. Sujin and his father Hyeong started to butt heads at each other as the former began showing his rebellious streak, though Sujin had hidden this fact from Mye. The more fights were done, the more Sujin got into trouble. He was becoming more resentful as he begun to keep his head down. When he returned for school, he and Gi-Seung meet up and spent the ride together. Gi then decided to question Sujin's failed attempt to hide his feelings, which ended up with the latter confessing and have a heartfelt discussion. Other than that, Sujin had an uneventful year as he also tried not to start trouble when Ji-Yeong became prefect.
