A small river lazily winds through this wide valley, providing the only clear means for getting through it. Despite it's inability to give space, the Sweltering Thickets are still able to choke the life out of anyone not prepared for the heat, or for the amazing wildlife contained within its borders. Ranging from the natural to the supernatural, creatures that call this land home stay wise to venturing nowhere beyond a few hundred feet from the river banks, as one of them is called "King".

The Forest was hot and muggy, but beautiful with miles and miles of green. so the plan was to find traces of a beast called 'King'. "So where should I start first". Isora wondered looking around before stepping deep into the jungle. Precautions had to be taken into considerations seeing how groups of shinobi were taken out by this thing. "ha, they must have not thought carefully, fools..... Baka's".
Isora began to step into the forest, getting deeper and deeper while marking the near by trees with the short blade he acquired from the secretary, one tree on each side of him every step he made, making sure he had a path back to the way he came in. Only a smart person would think of something like this before going into the jungle head on without thinking. Probably why those 3 squads died. "Why would they look for a beast without thinking and planning first?"
Deeper and deeper into the forest, still marking the trees as he proceeded, the heat beaming on Isora, felt like he was just unfazed. going through what he went though in the asylum, this was literally nothing. Unfimilar bugs swarmed all over the place, critters crawled over the floor, sound of animals filled the air. Isora soon began to take his flute out of his pouch with the opposite hand of the blade for precaution purposes. "unlike those squads of dead men, even though this is a finding mission, I can't be too relaxed".
Isora bean to feel like he had been walking for minutes to an hour. behind him was numerous marked trees. "something has to be here. I have been scanning since I got here. where are the foot prints? The bodies? blood, salvia, drool? something. Should I let Aizen take over? he would get this done faster than me. Might as well I do need a rest". Stopping for a brief moment, Isora would close his eyes, falling into the sunken place, seeing Aizen wave and grin as he past him. opening his now burning bright red eyes, now Aizen.

Cracking his neck, Aizen began to look around to see what mess Isora got him into. "So marking where we are huh? smart. I do recall we are supposed to look for some King thing". Aizen pondered. Continuing on the path Isora set on Aizen would use his eyes to help scan the area. All he noticed was critters and small mammals. In a distanced he noticed a familiar predator that he had read about but nothing that screamed King.
Aizen began to focus on his surroundings far better than Isora. Noticing small hairs and foot prints on the ground. In the trees, small animals looking down at him before running away deep into the jungle. "Where the f--k is thing thing at". After miles of walking and tree scratching. Aizen would notice at large animal print in the floor. "Well I guess I found a print of what could be the King, Cant know for sure though. Ill just keep walking". After thinking to himself, Isora would take a sample of the print for the Otokage and precede to continue walking.

On following the tracks, Aizen stepped through a particularly thick foliage to immediately find the owner of said tracks. In the relatively cool shade, Aizen's eyes would track across the giant alligator carcass until they met its mid section, wherein nothing remained beyond. Looking to the center of the clearing, a perfect circle extended around a tall, white fungus, with nothing living inside of the circle other than the fungus, not animal, insect, or even plant, under it. Looming over eighty feet in height, the cap's soft looking spores hung in the air, drifting lazily over the dirt.
Aizen would walk through the thick foliage still on the verge of locating the King. With the Sakkakugan, Aizen would scan the area. While looking around he would notice the giant alligator carcass with a giant white fungi growing out of it. "What kind of place is this?" Aizen would ponder. Aizen would walk forward hoping he had a way back when the time came.
"I should play it safe since I have no idea where I am". Aizen would began to sit down, Indian style concentrating his chakra until he would appear to be out of body. "Hmm this will be interesting". Aizen would walk forward towards the eight foot tall fungi. to see if anything was to be there. go thing nothing would notice him in this out of body state unless they found his real body of course.

Even as Aizen walked the 40' towards the fungus, past the remains of the giant alligator, spores were gently drifting down. Slowly, slowly, wherever the bigger spores landed, all life ceased to be, and thus, the circle's radius inched closer to 41', to 42', and passing 43' on its way over the corpse. Scales withered, gator muscles souped, and tendons liquefied with every single additional big spore. With each small increase, the once 80' tall white fungus grew larger and more menacing, threatening even the foliage above it with eventual destruction. Smaller spores began to drift down, now, like a soft, hazy fog from the quiet cap high above Aizen's ethereal body. The angelic cloud, carried by its loftiness, floated beyond the growing line in the dirt, acting as a roiling atmosphere on its way to the staunch thicket walls of the jungle.
If the ethereal young man's foot could be dragged down by anything, his next step would align directly in a half-buried skull, the flesh neatly degraded into soil. Only the skeletal remains and his or her former possessions persisted in this deathly land, untouched as if left from a former appetite. Gazing about now towards the mid-section (about 20' from the base of the shroom), it would be easier to make out the small graves, merely bumps in the ground, where hands, a jacket, a kunai or two, or even a lonely canteen lay in their eternal rest. As Aizen continued to walk, the line in the dirt encroached upon the end of the giant alligator, a full 50' now from the base.
Aizen Loved the danger. It was like living out his own psychedelic dreams that he would have after being forced to swallow. Grinning from ear to ear, Aizen would recall his astro projection returning to his body. Opening his eyes, Aizen would get up with a new plan. "Lets see how well I am dodging these.....spores".
With the spore landing all over and killing whatever it touched, Aizen knew it would be a challenge but not much of a challenge. Aizen would put the knife away and began moving forward, determined to get to a safe but closer area. Running forward with caution, dodging spore after spore, Aizen would notice the body of the of what appeared to be a shinobis half buried skull near what would be kunai and what not. "Hmmm".
Seeing the first thing of remains would cause him to notice the rest of the remains. "Did the spores do this or did something else?" he would wonder. Aizen would collect samples of each piece of remains before continuing on making sure to not get in contact with the spores. "Looks like something ate them". Flute still in hand, and cautious, Aizen would continue on getting closer and closer to the giant fungi. "Spores must be protecting something, but what?"
[ if ] If anything didn't happen Aizen would continue to get closer to the closer and closer, and the more dangerous it would seem. 18', 16', closer and closer from the base of the fungi. 12', 10', 8', 6',4', so close he would be now touching the base of the fungi. Aizen would then start collecting more samples of the fungi that way the Otokage would be able to have something useful. "What next?"

Stepping far beyond the limits, Aizen had shown his watchers a brazen attitude. Barely able to see through the white fog of spores, two Oinin high in the canopy above switched to thermal optic gear to track the lone genin. A male and female set, each covered fighting abilities that the other did not, and this time the female stood, unsheathing a great length of wire. The idiot's going to kill himself, even if he did a good job on finding this thing, she thought, beginning to whirl the heavy end of the wire into a tight circle.
Down below, Aizen's vision faltered, going hazy as he entered the 18' mark. His mind, fuzzy with determination and sheer guts, continued on even as his body fell limp to the jungle floor. Having made it most of the way there without touching a single large spore (what a fantastic feat!), the smaller ones had done him in. Laying there, he surely would meet his end as a large spore met his hair, feeding on it, nearing his body. Just before he blacked out, a wire zinged around his left leg, yanking him through the air to the above Oto-nin.
Rushing down the river, 4 shinobi of unknown origin sweep the area on the furthest side of the thickets. Their goal? Unknown. Their affiliation? Unknown. Their relationship status? The left two are together forever, and the right two have an on-fire hate-hate relationship. Either way, they're all still heading towards the middle of the jungle, wary of the creatures lurking all about them.

It didn't take elizabeth too long to find the small cell of future uhv victims. Since leaving the mountains she had removed the overcloak and donned a gas mask over her mouth and nose. She was taking care to move silently, taking the cover if the treeline over the ease of the river. Sticking to the shadows she kept watch for the oto forces she was expecting. Before she could setup for them she needed this group to setup camp somewhere. She didn't know who these people were but if the uhv director wanted them dead, it was her job to try and keep them alive. Wasn't actually her job. Just the principle of the matter.
Getting to the thickets, Isora knew it was Aizen's turn to take over. The eyes were very much needed. Isora would close his eyes falling into the sunken place, peacefully okay with waiting. On the way to his mental paradise, Isora would let Aizen know the plan, what is going on and anything else that was important to know. "Okay, lets get this mission over with, should be fairly easy enough". The Oinin, being experienced would signal Aizen and the other Oinin to go into the trees, that way they would be more incognito. With his eye's Aizen could see 100 meters in front of him. Any ninja within that vicinity will be detected. The three shinobi would continue into the deep jungle, after a while Aizen would notice five bright lowing chakras up ahead. Four of the shinobis would be together, one of the chakra signatures seemed to be keeping their distances from the other four ninjas. Up the the tree, Aizen would signal the Oinin to stop. " Four shinobi seems to be together, but it seems that another one is keeping their distance. We should go in with caution. They could be the recon team we have to take out, but who it the other signature? a look out?". Aizen logical abilities would try to make sense of the situation. The Oinin would watch in amazement seeing how the young Genin would try to come up with a plan. "Okay, I should be able to put the four thats together in a genjutsu after I set the tone with some hidden mist." Aizen bean to explain as he took out his flute in preparation. "As for the other person, ill summon a clone and send it their way to see what they do, maybe ill do that first". Making hand seals, Aizen would summon a shadow clone. "You know what to do". The Oinin would stay by Aizen to make sure things don't go wrong as they kept their distance which was approximately 80 meters from both the group of four and the one that seemed alone. .
The shadow clone would go out in a stealth like manner keeping to the shadows and the high ground. Getting closer the clone would appear to be overhead of who seemed to be a purple haired female in green. With caution the clone would quite whisper loud enough for the girl to hear. "Hey what are you doing?"

Elizabeth hand her sidearm pointed at him, in a sideways stance, her uhv force recon patch visible in her jacket as he approached. She v was highly trained in solo operation by the same people that trained this genin. She lowered her Weapon after she looked at his headband. She didn't wear one.
Her uniform was a set genuine uhv combat fatigues and her gas mask was one that the boy would have trained with, standard uhv issue. For all intent and purposes to him she would be a uhv long range scout and infiltration operative and in fact before she was sent on a classified mission she WAS. She spoke, Weapon still in hand but at rest by her thigh. Her voice was muffled by the mask bit it was clear enough. "An assignment from director Horace. Classified, and you don't have clearance genin. What you do need to know is the Oinin are too be reassigned. A second group of targets less than a mile from here, due east . Im your backup. We had bad Intel and the Oinin need to intercept the double agent, Rook, that set you three up before he can hand over classified documents. This smaller group is a diversion and your coms aren't secure. You need to inform them BEFORE they engage. This is TOP priority. " She barked, holding true to the best drill instructors, turning and continuing on, double time to catch up with the group. She held herself at ready as she moved, far outpacing the genin for now, as she loaded empty capsules into her Weapon, firing at the back of the group of 4 and purposely missing, to get their attention once she was sure that she was out of reach and earshot of the other two. "Run faster you dolts! Uhv inbound! " she would say, making it obvious to the group of for that she was shooting to miss while from behind to the doujutsu user it would appear she was engaging the targets.
Turning their heads at the sound of Elizabeth's ocular intrusion, the group missed the telltale ripples in the water. Before they could turn their heads forward once more, a massive set of Salamandasaurus jaws reached up around them, swallowing all signs of their life in a single gulp. Continuing upwards from the momentum, it hung in the air for a moment before splashing back down into the cool waters.
At first, The girl would point a fire arm a the clone feeding him unknown lies. One thing for sure is that she was wearing a UHV uniform and patch, expect Horace never mentioned her, so the clone would play along. The real Aizen on the other hand would just try to complete the mission watching the encounter from afar. Whatever she was doing or saying to the clone was messing up the mission, so far the clone was doing his job or distracting. The next thing she would do would piss Aizen off. Aizen would barely hear her yell out "Run faster you dolts! Uhv inbound!". Seeing the recon team run, while she would begin to chase, messing up his whole plan as she went to engage the targets. "what? Why would you cause them to run? Who is she?" Aizen would wonder to himself. "Oinin, we will engage the targets from a distance, you stay close and keep an eye on me". Listening to orders the Oinin would go higher into the trees to keep out of visions range watching Aizen. The clone would remain on the recon teams trail, as the girl would use a jutsu creating distance from the clone. Aizen on the other hand would use his sakkakugan to remain now 60 meter away making sure he wouldn't go any closer.
As the group would run from the girl, A large Salamandasaurus would swallow all signs for the recon team before going back down underwater. "Sigh, another plan wasted all because of her stupidity". Frustrated Aizen would think of something. The clone on the other hand would wait for the UHV girls next move. "How to we get the recon team out of the fish thing?". The clone would question her hoping she would hear him. Staying in the tree's, silently moving without a sound, would take the flute from his mouth first, making hand seals, "Hidden mist jutsu". he would say silently. The area around the girl and the clone would be covered in fog IF the girl would stop after seeing the recon team swallowed up by the fish. IF she would stop, the clone would eventually bump into her wondering what was going on. Aizen would next place the flute back on his lips, and began to play a lovely Melody to match the environment. Now 50 meters away the tune would be able to reach both the UHV girl and the clone. The melody would be the genjutsu "Mateki: Mugen Onsa :: Demon Flute→Phantom Sound Chains". When the clone and the UHV girl would hear the melody, bindings of any persuasion the user desires would erupt from the ground and snatch at the wrists, waist, chest, and throat of the both of them before two more ensnare the ankles and would drag them both down. Aizen would then wait to see if what would happen next would be successful. If not then he would figure something else out, he plan was risky but it had to be done. As for the fish, he would track that with his eyes later on.

Elizabeth rocketed forward, palm glowing green. She showed the beast to swallow the team as a trio of clones were produced from her body. The hair on the the clones was different, one pink, one red and the third a lighter lavender. One of the Clone dug into Elizabeth's recon pack and pulled out a device no bigger than a coke can, wow the other two showed; drawing their sidearms and during in unison in the boys shadow Clone, empty canisters that would only provide impact and tie up the clones attention
Elizabeth's hand would plow into the massive lizard even while another set of deals would start to envolop the lizard. A quick glance up would show to her that her clones had stopped moving. They appeared to be in pain even. A bad sign. She spun around the lizards bossy and moved immediately, the entire series of stuff costing her in total mauve a precious second. Strings were left behind on the lizard as she pulled a scroll from her bag. Moving asking the side of the river at high speeds. She clicked her earpiece twice, not saying a weird but sending out the signal anyway. That would serve two purposes. The clone would activate it's device, hidden deep in the woods, moving it further but keeping the entire group of combatants in its field. The second effect wouldn't be known just yet, though soon.
