Green Cynosuth

Origin of Name: Cynosuth is derived from the word, Cynosura. This is the ancient name of the star we know today as Polaris, the North Star. The North Star is perhaps the most famous star in the nightsky and can be found in the constellation Ursa Minor -- the Little Dipper.
Inspiration: This dragon is inspired by the 17th card in Tarot's Major Arcana -- the Star. This card is generally seen as a positive card, and is thought to look to the future. It is often one of the most beautiful cards in the Tarot deck, and is known to offer hope and healing. Aquarius is its ruling sign.
Personality:
Cynosuth is a very gentle dragon. Similar to her blue brother, Eleusith, this green dragon is known to be very serene and harmonious in nature. She isn't easily excitable, or overly energetic. Instead, she seems to drift through life as if walking through a daydream. She isn't a particularly loud dragon, nor is she the sort to seek out attention. She can often be overlooked or easily pushed to the wayside when stronger, more gregarious dragons enter the picture -- but should anyone give Cynosuth attention, or should she think someone is in need of her help, this is where the little green shines.
Cynosuth is an incredibly helpful little green. She has patience in droves -- she does not shout, she does not bellow, or snap, and snarl when she does't get her way. No, she is quiet, but she will patiently allow her louder, more exuberant siblings to have their say until it is her turn to speak. She will wait without complaint until it is her turn. Her endless patience is in high demand, particularly when someone out there is in need. For little Cynosuth wants nothing more than to help those who are less fortunate; to warm those who are cold; to give guidance to those who are lost; and to give hope to those who despair.
Unfortunately, Cynosuth, for all her patience for others, can be quite hard on herself. Should someone discourage Cynosuth from a task, her gentle heart might easily be wounded. Should she be torn down from a desire, or strongly rebuked, the small green might quietly despair. For while she will give all of her heart and hope and love to others, she often forgets to spare some for herself. She is sensitive, and while she would never complain against harsh treatment, she is known to easily give up her own dreams in the face of challenge.
Additionally, she is known to be overly self-sacrificing and can wear herself out, emotionally and physically, by trying to give to others. In her keen desire to do good, and to help her clutchmates or wingmates, she might very well push herself to her limits, and then some. Her rider will need to be particularly cautious to make sure Cynosuth doesn't strain her muscles, and gets all the emotional love, acceptance, and encouragement to keep her balanced and ready for whatever obstacles they might need to face.
Positive Traits: Serene, Helpful, Patient, Gentle
Negative Traits: Easily discouraged, Over exerts herself mentally and physically, self-sacrificing
Adult Size: 18'
Physical Attributes: Cynosuth is a very little green. She is very small, and incredibly dainty. While she is strong, she can't take a very hard hit. During weyrling games, she might not be able to handle some of her more rambunctious siblings games. As an adult, she will be less prone to bruises, but will still need to be cautious and avoid hard landings when she can. She doesn't have a lot of stamina, but when she flies, it is a thing of beauty. She is incredibly agile, and lightning fast. When she rises, she is an incredibly difficult green to catch, and tends to do well during agility tests.
Additional Notes: She loves to fly. Though she isn't always able to fly as long as her larger green sisters, she is not afraid to test her agility, and excels at speed races.
Theme Song: Shooting Star by Owl City
Why Me?
Cynosuth is sorry that she made Dristan wait -- but now that she's here, she will never leave the man alone again. This little green knew Dristan was the right match for her, even if he was considered too old to properly Impress. His heart and her own are almost the same, and she loves Dristan for it. They are both hardworking individuals, who seem to care more for others than themselves. So it is, Cynosuth will always look to ensure Dristan isn't being too hard on himself, and will try to give him hope for the future; he is more than he thinks he is, and this little star believes in him! That said, Dristan can care for the delicate green physically and mentally; he can heal her from any physical ailments, and ensure she doesn't overexert herself emotionally. While it is possible they both might despair during dark times together, they will also be able to pick one another up. Cynosuth can and will ease Dristan's insecurities, and Dristan can give his green all the encouragement she needs to succeed. There is nothing they can't conquer together.
