Lava, Desert, Geyser and Urban biomes are seen in the match between Kohana Mugen and Susano'o. The urban area is similar to what one would expect out of the ruins of a three story building. The geyser area is filled with randomly exploding steam gysers and puddles of water no more then a few inches deep. The lava field contains randomly (not controlled by you two) geysers of lava. While the lava fields are extremely hot in temperature even for the sandy shinobi. The sun-baked desert area also includes an artificial sun. Though given that these are suna participants a little bit of sun shouldn't hurt anyone right ~

So she was going to be first in this tournament. Such an interesting thought occurred to her with that in mind. When she decimated her current opponent that would mean she would strike fear into the others no? A devious smile crawled upon her face as she waited for her opponent. Shifting her weight from one leg to the next as the time went on.
Kohana walked onto the academy floor with anticipation, bow in her right hand. It was a relief to hold the family heirloom - something akin to a lucky charm at this point. She wasn't familiar with her opponent, but that was fine. This was an opportunity to meet more shinobi. The girl she was opposing was moving from leg to leg. She was probably just as excited as Kohana was! Kohana stopped at the center of the arena and looked around at the biomes. After a moment, she rubbed the back of her head sheepishly. "Uh, this is my first time fighting like this... should we shake hands? She laughed at her own uncertainty. "In case there was any question about it, I'm Kohana Mugen." She winked at her opponent, less out of good-natured flirting and more to draw attention that the Mugen clan was known for its Kinmukugan.

Susano'o spat on the ground as her opponent finally showed. She then scoffed at the mere idea of shaking this young woman's hand before the fight. "What makes you think you're worth my time?" She asked curiously as she tilted her head. A smile crept upon her face that made her look more and more predatory than a mere human. Rolling her shoulders and loosening them up a bit she chuckled. "Have at me!" She shouted to her enemy in an attempt to coax her. Her hands ready to react to whatever the young woman threw her way. (I iz sorry >.< read the quote in spoilers please)
Kohana's face contorted in confusion as she tried to process Susano'o and her response. The gears in her head were turning for a good moment before she smiled. "I'll just have to prove I'm worth it, then!" She knew distance was going to be her friend in this fight since the other girl didn't wield a bow like she did, so her first instinct was to gain some. She lifted her arms to allow her bow to slip back towards her wrist as her newly freed hand joined her other, forming a hand seal that activated a fuuton-style body flicker technique. She went from being just in front of Susano'o to being in the urban biome, about fifteen feet in the air. Using the second or two of surprise she gained from her position change, she held onto her bow again and withdrew an arrow. She readied her aim on her target, enchanting the arrow with her chakra. She then loosed it at her opponent, the chakra in the arrow creating a deafening wail to disorient Susano'o.

{Due to an error within the technique description I am being allowed to slightly edit this post. It's only to fix how the arrow would be deflected. All the actions still occur in the same manner. I am deeply sorry about this Kiwi}
Rolling her eyes as her opponent was already running she became annoyed. Her opponent was going to attempt to make her work for this fight? How dare she get such an inclination within her mind. Did she think she could actually keep up with one such as herself!? When a high pitched whistling tore through the area her eyes narrowed. It annoyed her little ears yes but she was used to such sounds from her own jutsu. Quick drawing her katana she applied a technique to her blade. The length of the blade was quickly coated in chakra as she quickly pivoted her right leg forward. The moment she pivoted she deflected the screeching arrow with her glowing katana. Had her opponent went someone other than further away from her she might have hit her. But instead shew as still in plain sight. She growled in annoyance that this woman was ******** with her! Not putting forth the effort to actually give her a glorious challenge.
"Fine! I'll give you something to play with!" She shouted as she sheathed her katana and set off a flurry of hand signs. A mist began to gather in the area and she sent it up to the sky after using the technique. The mist taking shape as a thundercloud and launching a lightning strike randomly at one of the two of them. When the lightning struck she used another set of hand signs reading herself to react to her enemy.

Kohana's eyes widened at the sight of the arrow being deflected from her opponent. She'd expected a dodge over a sword technique - Susano'o must be serious about her own bukijutsu techniques. There wasn't a doubt in her mind that distance was important here. She cocked her head to the side as mist began to appear over the arena. She mimicked her opponent by putting her bow on her back, wary of the mist in the arena. Was it for low visibility? So she couldn't shoot well? She put her hands together and made the appropriate hand signs. Kohana generated a fuuton-style clone, thinking she could maybe leave the clone where she was standing as a diversion to sneak up behind the sword user. But then the mist rose. She spared a quizzical glance at her identical clone as the mist became cloud, then storm.
"You seeing what I'm seeing?" She asked her own creation, who stared at her blankly in response. Now that the visibility was back to normal, save for the dark storm cloud, the move of surprise wasn't going to fly any lo- "AH!" She lifted her arms to cover her face as lightning struck - completely decimating her clone. She backed up, steps shaky at the sight of the burnt ground where her identical form had just been. She looked up again, waiting for it to strike her next. But the lightning didn't come.
She put her hands together, focusing on herself instead of the lightning death hanging overhead, and inhaled as deep as she could. She felt her lungs expand with fuuton chakra and exhaled a large wind projectile at Susano'o, that would explode into a vortex on contact.

{Edited due to me forgetting about the Call of Lightning is counted in opponent posts too} First came the lightning down towards her. Then she saw the wind projectile being sent her way she quick drew her katana. Consuming it with her blinding Hatake chakra as it began to chirp violently filling the entire are with its sounds. She swung at the air with her katana, and a blast of lightning tore through the skies towards her own lightning. As the lightning nullified one another she rapidly swung at the incoming fuuton technique in roaring through the arena. The electricity was hurled from her blade at an accelerated rate. Her eyes full of joy as she was laughing during this fight. It was turning out to be so much fun as this girl was actually seeming to keep up with her. Just as the fuuton and raiton techniques hit something odd occurred that one may not have anticipated. Defying all elemental jutsu logic the raiton technique tore through the fuuton technique nullifying it. Not only that it continued tearing through the space in an attempt to hit the woman who used the fuuton technique it had just destroyed. Yet again Susano'o held a hand sign ready for a counter attack from the red headed warrior before her or even the lightning above them.

Kohana watched in awe as the lightning from the sky was nullified by Susano'o's lightning blade - which shrieked in a way similar and completely different from her previous wailing spectre technique. The shrill of it put her on edge, amplified by the way that the swordswoman had near-nonchalantly tamed the force of nature above them both. Then, surprising the Mugen further, Susano'o swung her lightning-infused blade once more to completely destroy her wind projectile -- something that must have defied the nature of elements and chakra and probably life itself! She was gonna have a strict word with her academy instructors for lying about - "Holy s**t!" She cried out in an uncharacteristically distasteful manner at the sight of the lightning continuing through her toughest fuuton technique and right towards her. Note to self: double-check later that this was a genin only tournament.
Her body reacted on instinct - to flee - and fuuton chakra curled at her feet into a ball. Riding the wind, the ball jerked her to her right and out of the lightning's reach. The rough motion knocked the air out of her lungs, but her leaning position let her continue using her increased speed to circle the outside of the center ring, not quite entering any of the biomes she passed but allowing her to stop on the other side of the arena - behind where Susano'o had been facing, though the lightning user had probably tracked her movements the whole trip around.
She let her legs fold so that she could sit on the ball over stand, floating on the sphere of wind about five feet off the ground. She recaptured her breath. "Sorry about my language," she apologized earnestly. She was still sitting on the sphere, her quiver and bow not in use quite yet. She put her hands together, her gaze wary on Susano'o and her own readied hand - and performed a fuuton technique she rarely used, the low pressure technique. "And for the record, if you fall asleep after this, I promise I won't take it personally." What would be a taunt from another ninja was a genuine sentiment from her. She knew the risks of using the technique, and hopefully the fight would be over before any real consequences occurred.

As the lightning cracked once more Susano'o looked up to see the lightning coming towards her. She chuckled as she tossed her jacket to the ground not wanting to get it ruined. She pointed her katana to the lightning and replied back to her opponent. "For the record you'll love this!" She shouted as the lightning hit her katana head on. Instead of using her techniques to nullify it she took the hit head on. Having slight burns across her body now that was the most of her worries as she had electricity training before. Making it a lot less dangerous. As her katana still chirped brilliantly she giggled as she knew what to do next. So she was trying to take away the air pressure? Fine she'd just bring it to herself then! As the raiton current was contained within her she began to spin in place.
As she did this a vortex of wind was quickly created bringing the oxygen directly to Susano'o as she was in the middle of this vortex. The vortex quickly took form as a dragon's body and it stared up at the red headed warrior with its deep crimson eyes. It shot towards her without any hesitation in an attempt to consume the poor girl. Even if this technique missed there was a strong chance the woman would be hit by the lightning within the dragon. Susano'o's determination was set. She wasn't going to lose this tournament in the first match! No she was going to win the entire damned thing!

Susano'o attracted Kohana's attention, promising Kohana that she'd love what was going to happen next. However, the swordswoman lifted her blade and let the lightning shock her; then, she spun in a circle and let a vortex form along the lightning, generating a dragon form. "What are you doing?!" Kohana cried out from atop her wind sphere. Her opponent was hurting herself! That lightning would leave intense burns along her body - there would probably be scars that not even the best medic in Suna could heal! Even if this was a real, no rules fight, surely that couldn't warrant such carelessness!
Kohana cringed at the sight of her wounded opponent, but put a hold on her concerns to lean on her sphere of wind, shooting across the arena again as the lightning dragon chowed down on where she had just been. Kohana needed to seriously thank the Sunagakure Academy scroll collection for having so many evasive Fuuton techniques. Without them... she feared the worst in this fight, despite the no-kill rules. That lightning looked mean.
Speaking of, lightning from above was about to drop. Second note to self: after this fight, beg the Kazekage to ban this crazy lightning storm technique! She jerked on her wind sphere away from the first bolt, but the second struck just inches from her left leg and completely dispersed her wind sphere as it pierced the fuuton technique. With her highly increased speed, the momentum sent her flying across the center area - centripetal force making her head straight into the urban biome again. She skidded on the dirty graval, the bottom of her palms scraping across the abrasive surface, and the bottom of her chin as well. She flinched at the sensation of grit and burn, thankfully coming to a stop just in front of the fallen building. She rose to her feet dutifully, but not without feeling all the raw skin and how her blood pulsed angrily at each spot.
She faced Susano'o, worried for herself as well as her opponent now. She resisted the urge to wipe her chin with the back of her hand, knowing it would only spread her blood (and the grit in the wounds) and make it sting more. She put her hands together, forming the wind dragon technique. The dragon formed above her despite the low air pressure and lingered above, not charging at Susano'o quite yet. The specialty of this dragon was that it could launch fuuton of its own. With a quick command, the dragon spat one kaze bakuhatsu, then continued floating above her. "We should stop and get you medical attention," Kohana suggested in as diplomatic a tone as she could manage.

The dragon continued its chase after her opponent. Even as she used the techniques the lightning dragon was still active. The vortex starting where Susano'o was standing still to keep it active. Although it was a smart plan initially her opponent had already forgotten one crucial element with Susano'o's raiton. It could defeat Fuuton techniques. When the dragon launched his fuuton at the lightning dragon Susano'o made no effort to stop the technique while she was in the eye of the storm keeping the technique alive as it was spiraling around her. Instead the vortex managed to launch a lightning charge at the wind blast and nullified it as if it was nothing. The lightning dragon was now right on top of the girl as it tore through the skies for her. Then a bolt of lightning came down in an attempt to hit Susano'o once more. Yet again another lightning charge tore from the vortex when the lightning bolt got close enough nullifying it and protecting the lightning dragon technique.

Apparently, the lightning dragon-vortex wasn't done with her yet. It nullified her wind dragon's kaze bakuhatsu, much to the Mugen's dismay. Nothing she tried was ever gonna work on this girl, huh? Challenge: accepted. She ordered her wind dragon to shoot two more kaze bakuhatsu at the lightning dragon, then charge at it - but the two D and one C rank technique were still at a disadvantage to the strong raiton technique, and Kohana needed to move out of the way, fast. She activated her wind riding technique again, sitting on her wind sphere and escaping the direction of the lightning dragon's attack as the two kaze bakuhatsu and the wind dragon itself tried to slow it down. Safely - or as safely as she could be - behind Susano'o again, on the outside of the center arena, she took a moment to catch her breath.
"So, uh, you doing anything after this?" She grinned in between pants. "We could grab some tea together sometime." Susano'o was basically the only Sunagakure ninja she'd meant since graduating, and regardless of how hard this fight got or who won, she wanted to make sure she had a new friend. Besides, she figured the olive branch would be harder to extend when one of them get more seriously hurt - and considering how intense this battle was... it was possible.
Lightning from above loomed before coming after Kohana. She stood on the ball of lightning and let herself go loose - the lack of balance sending her flying off the ball at a speed that threw her from the lightning's destruction path. She landed at the base of a tree in the forest biome, relatively unharmed but hopelessly dirty and grass-stained. She'd be lucky if her dad could get this clean. Hopefully it wouldn't need any sewing, since Grandma already struggled with holding...
She shook her head and brought herself back to the fight at hand. Maybe the air pressure was getting to her already? No, she'd only casted the technique around Susano'o, though the girl had used a wind vortex technique to thwart it. It wasn't blood loss, she only had a few scrapes... oh, maybe it was exhaustion, then, that was making her feel a bit on the woozy side.
She rose to her feet, trying to ignore the slight dampness she felt from the grass. She removed her bow from her back once more, feeling like her fuuton techniques were wasted at this point. She grabbed an area and aimed at Susano'o, taming the beating in her chest for just a moment. The chakra was enchanted with her chakra, and mimicking what she'd done at the first opportunity, she loosed a wailing spectre at her opponent.

Kaze Nori [ Wind Riding ] Rank: C [-20 chk] Official Description: Creates a ball of air which can carry the user at great speeds. Guild Description: The user form a ball of rapidly swirling air beneath the feet, upon which they typically sit (some with exceptional balance may choose to stand). As a result the user is left hovering several feet above the ground, and is able to control the ball to move quickly in any direction, essentially allowing the user a high degree of speed and agility while they remain on the ball. Due to the nature of the ball and its speed, it is quite natural for users of this technique to move across walls and ceilings. Lasts for three posts, but dissipates if the user falls off.
Wailing Specter Rank: C :: Complex [-10 chk, -10 stm] Description: The user imbues an arrow with Chakra. When launched at a target, the arrow will let off a high-pitched whistle that will hurt the ears of anyone listening. The sound also echoes very well, such that it is impossible to discern the direction of an incoming arrow by auditory means. Can be used in conjunction with sound-based Ninjutsu or Genjutsu without consuming an extra activation.

Susano'o heard the woman speak but she couldn't hear the words. She was lost to battle and she was going to win at all costs. As she was going to keep her promise no matter what! Gritting her teeth she spent more chakra to keep the lightning dragon alive. It continued to pursue the woman not caring in the slightest about the fuuton barrages or the fuuton dragon. The lightning bounced from the wind vortex of the dragon and took the techniques out with ease. Then with another bolt of lightning crashing down, it too was taken out by the lightning residing within the lightning dragon.
It's crimson eyes were set upon the red headed woman as it continued to chase after her. Even as she crashed upon the ground and drew her bow. It opened up its massive jaws and let out a terrifying roar as the arrow was launched at it. Snapping its mouth upon the arrow it consumed it crushing the technique with ease. Continuing his assault the dragon dove head first at the woman in an attempt to hit her.

After forming the necessary hand seals, the Shinobi begins to collect mist in his or her immediate area much like Kirigakure no Jutsu; however, it begins to rise and form into a thunder cloud instead of lying dormant like mist does. Now powered by Chakra the cloud will begin to strike random Shinobi with lightning; this lightning has the ability to cause massive third-degree burns, majorly constricted breathing, and possible fibrillation. This technique lasts for 10 posts . Guild Description: Use the random number generator on the post to determine who the lightning strikes. Assign a number to each person, including the user, when the jutsu is used. The user can be hit with their own technique, but knowing Teikou no Kuntou [Electrical Resistance Training] will prevent them from taking serious damage from it. {1 - Kiwi, 2 - Susano'o: 9 of 10}
● Chidori Sai (One Thousand Birds Cut) •Rank - B {Treated as A rank due to Hatake bloodline} • This attack is a mixture of Hatake Clan’s specialties. The user is able to channel their raiton through their weapon of choice. Through repeated slashes (maximum of 4 shots) they become able to unleash raiton blasts that appear to be white in color. These slashes cleave metal like a hot knife through butter. These slashes are extremely fast and blinding to those who are not the Hatake or Lightning User in question, thus making this technique special. This jutsu does not require hand seals. {2 of 4 raiton blasts remain}
● Rairyuu no Tatsumaki [ Lightning Dragon Tornado ] Rank: B {Treated as A due to her Hatake bloodline}{Maintained for this post. Only 20 chakra} Official Description: Ninpou: Rairyuu no Tatsumaki is a Ninjutsu technique used by Kurosuki Raiga. One of Raiga's many lightning based jutsu, this technique is used in conjunction with his two swords. Drawing his two swords together, Raiga will raise them into the air and draw lightning down upon his body. The current will be contained within and around Raiga's form. He will then begin to spin in place forming a whirling vortex of wind and electricity. The vortex will take on the form of a dragon and strike out against his opponent. Even if the attack doesn't directly connect with his foe, the lightning can jump from the vortex to hit a nearby target. Guild Description: See official description. Swords not required. User must remain stationary for duration of technique. Technique can be maintained for an upkeep of half the original cost.
Kohana's eyes widened as the dragon came straight for her, munching on her arrow and showing no sign of stopping. She felt her heart pound once before she was moving - chakra surging to her legs as she learned while training Uwame, and avoided the dragon altogether. The increased speed gave her additional confidence in her abilities, though she knew better by now than to try and use her arrows on Susano'o.
She ran deep into the urban biome, far from Susano'o and her view. It was time for a game of hide and seek, now. She put her bow on her back and climbed up to the second floor of the rubble-filled three story building in the back of the biome, assuming a crouching stance to wait and see what would happen. She almost prayed that the lightning wouldn't strike her, and hoped that Susano'o liked this game as much as she did.

Crouching Stance Rank: C :: Simple [-20 stm] Description: The user crouches down with the front leg extended forward for balance. This position allows the user to remain stealthy and minimize size without sacrificing accuracy. This stance is always assumed in a high location unless the practitioner uses small bows. The user is almost undetectable to non-Sensory types below his or her Rank while in this stance. Consumes 5 Stamina and one activation per post to maintain.
