Taylor was alarmed when Nariomi came forward in his bone like ninjutsu armor. Was he ready for battle? Why did he dawn it upon coming closer to Sonyo? He saw the two interact in the observation, and could deduce that they had a romantic nature with one another. What was going on with the man. As Nariomi picked her up without a word or objection, however, it was clear to him why. Nariomi was in pain. A warrior dawns their armor when they are in combat to negate injury. The injuries the silver haired man endured, however, were inside his soul. Yet, despite his pain he was still trying desperately to stay strong. When Nariomi fell to his knees, however, Taylor did not move. He could not move, for her knew nothing he could do would assist him or Sonyo. For all purposes, Taylor has failed them both.
"Horus." The boy said under his breath. Although it was seemingly impossible for the bird to hear, the thunderbird nonetheless appeared beside him. The boy boarded the back of his partner as he looked at Nariomi and Sonyo, both people that he grew to care about in such a short amount of time. Sonyo's kindness gave him a new view on the abilities of medical ninjutsu. Nariomi's wisdom opened his mind to a new method of chakra manipulation. And now, both of them were in pain. Both were in a place where Taylor could do nothing to help. All he wanted at this moment was to make it better, to make them both feel better. Just before Horus took off, he saw Sonyo awake and reach up to him. He smiled, but knew that nothing he did made this miracle occur. Therefore, he resolved to get even stronger. To have the strength like Bastet and Nariomi who could fix this. It was on this thought that bird and boy left the area. If anything he might track down that girl who spat on the ground near the demon...

Her necklace burned hot against her chest and her body felt every bit of anything that was hitting the dome through the effigy. It was less like pain and more like having something scrape against an existential concept that you base your existence around. Her faith was being tested against the sandstorm and weaponized wind the entire time she held on. But hold she did, gritting her teeth and digging in her feet, which made the cuts all along her legs scream in pain. The strength of her grip brough a similar sensation. She grunted and looked as the sandstorm raged, seeing something familiar above the dome. "God... is that.. Chet?" she asked. Had it not been for the need of her focus she would likely have beckoned him down. But steadfast was the girl, even when demonic chakra creeped into her wounds and fortified her against her own wounds. Affirment from her leader, no doubt.
As the barrier came down by no doing of her own, she stood, watching as her own Effigy dissipated. Her eyes found Sonyo, seeing the woman steel herself just as she had. Kya watched her move to them, the strong of Sunagakure and Ivi, still writhing within her own cloak of chakra. Kya watched as the snaked coiled, and realized at once that the Kazekage had joined in the frey, and her actions had put the nail in the coffin. The rings holding the demon back... she felt some sort of understanding of what they did. The swear of the demon was amusing to say the least of it, seeing the rings weight it down immeasurably, and the snake crushing down on it. She knew that some ninja made pacts with animals, but she'd never seen one summoned before today. It was an eye opening day in so many ways for her. Ivi sama was a host, Shukaku had gotten loose, and the Kazekage was a sage. Oh and Chet was still nuts.
It didn't take long for the demon to be sealed away for what would hopefully, for the village, be the last time for a long time. This time it had been in the presence of a very many strong and willing shinobi, but if it got loose in the countryside? If it caught someone off guard? Next time would likely not be so perfect storm. When it finally was gone, Kya stayed where she was, keeping her eyes on Ivilice and the others, ensuring the demon wouldn't just jump back out at them again. "Hmm," was all she said as her eyes darted between so many powerful men and women, boys and girls. It was a sudden decision, one made with her brows furrowed, that she approached Ivilice and her group, using the Shukajo as somethign to steady herself. The pain qas quelled but it had never bothered her so much as it inconvenienced her. That bit was still there as she approached her leader.
She didn't immediately speak. In fact as she made her oath, she kept her eyes on the woman whom had passed out. Bast was leaving, so was the blond child. So were others. In the corner of her eye, she saw Chet had gone. Her head turned and her brow furrowed. She had to hold a powerful burden within her, and Kya was curious as to how she would do. More than that, deep within, she wondered, if no one else was present currently, how the demon would respond with it's host's head being removed while she was too weak to move. If it would even let it happen. Kya's eyes fluttered to Ayame and her snake, mostly on the snake. She wanted to ask about the snake but now seemed ill timed. Her brow still furrowed, a pair of highly critical eyes fell on the man praying beside the woman. She wondered, deep inside, if his god would answer. She wondered if his god cared. If he was one who demanded sacrifice or prayer, or if he prayed to feel better himself. She didn't feel anything, not truely, for him until the girl came to. She stood off from the woman's sight, almost hiding behind Ivi as she listend to the girl's words. Why was she asking if he was ok? Why HAD he been crying.
Oh.
Love...
She felt something then. Was it disgust or envy. Perhaps the answer was simply yes. It was akin to what she felt for her headband, even if it was opposite. It meant something to Ivi. It meant something because of who owned it before. She spoke to Ivi, deciding to break her silence. "Have you known many hosts for the sand-demon?" she spoke in a low voice. It was curiosity in it's pureest form, but it was driving up from a longer standing curiosity she had about Ivi's past. Was the person she had regifted this headband from died in a tangle with a host? Likely not but it was a start.
That, and she was curious to how she planned on permanently killing a demon, if it were even possible. Baby steps.

Bast returned the bow as much as she could while maintaining her meditative pose. It wound up as more of a head tilt than a proper bow, but the thought was there.
"If you can locate Tetsuhiko and... I think his name was Hikaru? I didn't arrive early enough to properly hear the names of all the contestants, but the kid with brown hair and lines on his face. If you're all willing, you're a squad now and you should get to know each other while you unwind from this... event." She grimaced slightly at the last word, as though it left a bitter taste in her mouth. After a short moment of silence, she turned ever so slightly toward Ivilice and bowed her head again. "Thank you for your words, and thank you for helping to keep everyone alive and safe. Knives was many things, but he was good to his comrades, and anyone who helps to keep that legacy intact is a good person."

__ After Tetsuhiko's supercharged kunai hit their mark upon the demon it was as if all of time around him slowed as Lady Bastet came into his view. He watched as he swooped in like a heroic whirlwind and sealed the beast within the medical kunoichi who had treated him earlier and provided the ice barrier. It took him several moments to process what had just transpired before he sealed his puppets, dispelled his strings, and brought down the magnetic field. He then sprinted over to his sensei and Zhi, his first opponent in the tourny. When he made his approach he could tell they were talking, about what he did not know. Tetsuhiko was completely uninjured from this battle and felt grateful that was the case.
He looked at Zhi and spoke to her with lustered eyes. "Even a great performing artist such as I have never seen such grand theatre!" He then held his hands over his heart in enthusiasm, it felt like it was beating at one hundred miles per hour. The adrenaline was getting to his head as it washed away his weariness and anxiety for the time being. "Wouldn't you agree, Zhi?" Tetsuhiko asked as he looked around and took in what was going on around him before calming down. It was in this moment he realized he may have been acting insensitively to the others around him who may have been traumatized or seriously injured by the demon. His hands then returned to his sides and his face folded into a mute expression. "Anyway, I hope you're alright and not overexerting yourself again." The artist now expressed his concern for his newfound friend in the midst of this chaos.
__ Zhi smiled and nodded, not even having to spend any sort of effort to accommodate Bastet's "order". At this point, there wasn't anyone in the village that she couldn't locate with her sensory abilities. It felt like she had leveled up a lot since she started her Genin adventures, yet Zhi knew she hadn't yet accomplished much at this moment. She exhausted herself in two fights in a row, and nearly tarnished her family's name by daring to participate in that last round of the tournament. Aside from her impressive training regimen and surviving this encounter with a bijuu unscathed, she didn't have many honors to her name yet. Zhi was mindful of the other events ongoing about her immediate vicinity, but didn't get involved in more than was necessary. Out of the people departing the area, the ones that most caught her eye were Susano'o as well as Taylor and Horus. Nothing was done about any of them while she waited for Tetsuhiko to finish joining her and Bastet here. Hikaru was only a few good jumps away too, so she'd just wave over to him in hopes that he'd take the cue to come over.
Zhi giggled softly at Tetsuhiko's summarizing commentary about the recent developments then nodded energetically in agreement. "Yeah! A lot of crazy stuff just happened all of the sudden, but I'm glad the village is safe." She briefly looked over in the direction of Sonyo and Nariomi again before mumbling, "I hope they will be okay though." Tetsuhiko's comment about her habit of overexerting herself snapped her back to her closer company, "H-hey! I'll have you know that I did lots of training with mama and papa so that I don't get tired from using my super special awesome techniques as easily! Eventually, I will completely master them all!" Zhi threw a comedic mini-tantrum where she stood in the sand then pointed at the refined performer, "Don't forget that you promised to have a rematch with me someday! You better not be slacking with your training or else I'm gonna run you over!" She grinned with empty confidence, not truly sure if she could back up her words right now... or even later on. Zhe was still certain that she hadn't seen Tetsuhiko even close to one-hundred percent, even after everything that he did while fighting the tanuki monster a moment ago.
Their Kazekage appeared in an instant, the events that spiraled around Masato, who had been standing guard over Nariomi. As the demon's presence vanished, a sense of relief came over him. Not that any of them were out of danger, but that the beast had been quelled. 'Maybe...someone can seal away my rage as well...' he thought. Just as he settled this thought, Nariomi moved, scooping up the woman he had held on his arm during the examinations. As she came to, Masato could not help but overhear her words as close as he had been. Her voice was cruel and sharp. Rage swelled within her now too. Unfortunately, Masato realized the rage of the beast had not been quelled, rather it had been transfered. He understood now, Sonyo had been selected to be the cage that may some day break. For now, the village was safe, who knew how long that may last.
Masato sighed, releasing his control of the third gate, his skin becoming its normal pale color as his hair settled back into its resting state. Looking about the battlefield outside the two before him, it seemed there was much uninvited company, mixed with the retreat of his allies. He scoffed, almost insulted that it had ended without him being permitted to throw a single punch at Shukaku. For the first time he had fought as a team. Not only with his adversary, but the whole village as well. What would he do now? His anger at himself began to build. His rage didn't seem to be driven toward any one anymore, it was simply there. Maybe this is what Shukaku felt? Perhaps Masato's wrath was the same? Masato subconsciously had began to fear he would never find peace. Not that he had ever desired it, but now that he had seen the strength of Nari-sama and the others who protected what they loved, he knew his path was not the only one.
With no other words, refusing to interrupt Nariomi and Sonyo, let alone the others, Masato silently exited the arena.
__"This girl is really one a kind." Tetsuhiko thought as he absorbed the spunky lass's words. Even Tetsuhiko found her to be an oddball and he was the eccentric artist who created marionettes out of metal with pipe organs installed into them to mix art and war into a beautiful piece of theatrical significance. Still, though, there was a je ne sais quois quality to her vibrancy that he enjoyed. He smiled at her and listened to her demand for a rematch before responding coyly. "I think you'll get a rematch even sooner than you expect. Beware, my art knows no bounds and has a near infinite amount of combinations. Maybe you'll have to play more with my puppets next time." Tetsuhiko winked at her in a playfully taunting manner with a wry smile. Even still, Zhi was a powerhouse of a genin with incredible speed, but also a mysterious ability to slow time around her.
The iron prince continued observing the ruins of the arena around him. In the end, the village was safe and he played a role in subduing the demon. He took pride in that, but he was more impressed with the performance of his comrades and superiors. The power displayed by James, Bast, and Nariomi was astounding to him. This was matched by the bravery showed by the other genin who refused to back down. He felt proud to be a part of this generation of shinobi and kunoichi. "So how do your 'super awesome techniques' work exactly? Do you speed yourself up while slowing what is happening around you? That makes for a nice special effect in a play indeed." Tetsuhiko asked his friend inquisitively.

James ripped his raging storms of cold and wind back as the sealing process began, and let the ice instead shift into a light dusting snow over the arena. He was grateful it was over, and started to head over with his superhuman speed to care for Sonyo as the first act on a long list of things to do. That was until the call of medic and Noriko's cry hit his ears. James was at her side in almost a instantaneous blink, the below zero temperatures of his armor pulling back to allow him to not freeze her as he treated her.
"let me see the wound dear, and this may sting slightly." He said as he waited for her to move and then poured his healing chakra into her leg. as he worked he gave out a call.
"Anyone injured dag your carcass over here or get someone else to!"
He turned slightly to glance at Bast. "I've returned Domina so you are no longer short a healer, I also have chakra reserves if you are low."

"Tetsuhiko," Bast interjected. She was still meditating--her posture had not shifted at all--but there was a bit of an edge to her voice. "Someone important to Lady Ayame, James, and I just died. This wasn't a play, it was a dirge."
She watched as James swooped in with his trademark vigor and immediately assumed his role as medic. It had been quite a while since they'd interacted directly, but she had been present when he showed up at the gates and was assaulted by Ayame, so his presence hadn't been a surprise come time to fight.
"Thanks, but I just topped off," she told him, relaxing her posture slightly and stretching out her legs. "I've gotten a new trick up my sleeve since you were last around. Shouldn't you be calling Ayame 'Domina' now? It's quite nice to hear it after all this time, but I'm afraid that's not the role I'm in anymore."

__ Zhi was about to reply to the counter-challenge posed for her, but stopped when a chunk of reality was dropped on them by Bastet. She aptly closed her mouth and shrunk back a little, bowing her head apologetically even though she wasn't the one that had been scolded. Then Bastet went on to interact with another celebrity she could recognize as the King of the Frozen Sand, well-named being in the relationship he was with Kazekage-san-sama herself. She definitely didn't understand the mentions of something called "Domina" but it probably wasn't any of her business anyway.
Refocusing on Tetsuhiko, Zhi would just nod a little. "Yeah, it's kinda like that." She took a deep breath then tried to get herself back on track with the previous conversation. "I can make people, jutsu and all kinds of other things move faster or slower with my chakra." She paused then decided to boast a little since Tetsuhiko had done so too, "I bet you can't see everyone in the whole village like I can, right T-Fizzle? Can ya!?" Zhi grinned proudly while setting her hands on her hips in a sort of victorious pose. The fact of the matter was that she was indeed sensing every individual present in Sunagakure at this very moment. Better yet, she could effectively learn to identify them case by case given enough time. Zhi knew that she was going to continue to further develop this incredible feat throughout her ninja career. Although she wanted to one day be recognized as the fastest ninja ever, she didn't mind also being known as the most capable sensory ninja too! Zhi didn't at all mind if her peers and superiors both knew of what she could do. This was all just the beginning still, right?
"I've known three since I graduated miss kya. All of them fallen in the same way. Knives was the latest. Sonyo now bears the burden. Thankfully that shinobi there..."she said, indicating the one next to her that was holding the girl. Nari. "Is an excellent match for her. They will keep each other strong. We can reinforce her seal if nessicary. Please deploy our medics to the field to free up sunas medics and allow them to rest. Their best ones have been fighting since this started." She said then lifted her heady to lady bastion.
"Don't take my words lightly. They are an oath bast. Treaty or not, if this one falls to Shukaku I will remove it's murderous element from play. Do not interfere. I do not wish others to be hurt in the fallout. I doubt this will come to pass In our lifetime however. Sonyo is strong. I do suggest a strong medic nin oversee a medication to help her sleep. And nari will need to learn to hold the Shukaku at bay until sonyo can; while asleep. The tanuki has a gross habit of trying to drive it's hosts to insanity. Do not let this happen to this wonderful young woman. "
She smiled down at the two and crouched down to one knee, sitting her hand on top of Nari's and moved it to clasp sonyo's. "It takes two to keep each other happy and in check. One trying to handle the job of two will fall. You must both learn to support each other in your weakness with both of your strengths." she said as a bit of her chaka wrapped the twos hands together and solidified into a small bit of rope artfully linking the twos hands in a clasped manner. Nothing special about the rope after it solidified. Just a black strand and a silver strand wrapped around each other in a loose spiral. "24 hours from now you may remove it. If it is removed before the 24 hours is complete, it is a rather bad sign.. Consider it a promise to each other, and learn to compromise and act as one. Right now is a weak moment. Walk the path to strength of unity. " She gave her best mischievous smile and wold replinish about 80% of the girls stores before letting go. "Best couple ever" she said quietly looking down at them .

Susano'o laid down on the ground counting everything within her head as well as saying it allowed. "Katana, skirt, gloves, shirt, jacket and new boots...." She spoke softly as she let James work on her leg. "Ugh" She muttered out when she was thinking about the amount of ryo that was going to be needed for everything. It didn't take long for James to finish working on her leg. She remained still until James told her she was good however as she didn't want to disrupt what he was doing. "Who do I talk to about a loan?" She asked curiously.
Something about the fearless leader calling her Miss Kya brought a small smile to her lips as the genin continued to look from Nari to Sonyo and back again, watching with a modicum of intrigue above the base level she typically allotted people. The affirmation from her leader that their union would be what kept them strong brought her eyes to rest upon her leader then, and her hand to the headband currently like a necklace around her neck. The person that held it before her... she was very likely the one whom had been there for her when her own demon had given her trouble. Perhaps it was the same circumstance now that would keep Sonyo from succumbing to what was inside. The small smile that had previously written into her face spread a bit more as she thought of the one person who was a match for her, so far as she was concerned. Still, once more the only thing Moody Blues uttered was a very simple "Mmm." Once more the woman spoke, true to character, of her oath to destroy shukaku if it claimed her life. Kya felt nothing, truly, towards death. Men live, men die. Change is good. In her religion, in fact, death was glory unto itself. She would deny herself the embrace as long as was mandated by Jashin, and one day meet a, hopefully bloody, end as well. Then again, most of the people in her life had been unfeeling zealots and unable to die. SUffice it to say she lacked a real understanding of grief.
Perhaps realizing that was why she kept her judgement of what she perceived to be weakness pressed down.
The tying of the knot, such as it was, held her attention only barely as she realized, slowly, that she no longer had a reason to be here beyond her own curiosity. That in mind, she turned away from them and moved, painfully as the reinforcement of her wounds began to wear off. That would mean, soon, blood would begin to once more trickle from various places, including her torn outfit. She bowed before speaking, and looked upon the woman with the same, somewhat stormy expression that tended to be where her face rested at neutral. "Lady Kazekage, my name is Kya Uchiha. Obviously, I'm a ninja from the leaf, and I know that now is a sad day for you, and your people. For what was lost, I offer condolences. But today need not be one solely for grieving, no I would say today is also a day where, in the face of conflict, we proved that our alliance remains strong and stable. It's my hope that, when we have all had our time to recover emotionally as well as physically," she went on, and as if to punctuate she leaned on her Shakujo, a particularly nasty leg wound threatening her ability to stand. "That I could come back here and study under you. As I have seen today there is much for me to learn, and I saw today the way your people are inspired by you, as well as why. For the good of both our homes, I'd like to learn directly from you, with your and Lord Ivilice's permission of course. For now, I think I should return home. Plenty who are here now need medical attention more than I do, but I'll likely be in for a trip to the hospital too when I get home." She'd already turned by the last sentence, waddling with her makeshift walking stick, starting to feel the pain increasing. She put on a decent show, ignoring how badly she was hurt, but it was in vain now. Anyone watching could see her body was complaining with every movement.
She'd been hurt worse than she thought, it would appear.

__ Tetsuhiko immediately felt horrible when Bast-sensei addressed him. He now understood the gravity of what had just transpired. He did not know the former host of the demon, but others did very well. He would be devastated if this happened to Sonyo as well. "I'm sorry." This was all the normally overly expressive Tetsuhiko could muster at the moment while he felt a dagger of shame stab into him. This attack was not a comedy, it was a tragedy and he now understood that. "This is what giant monsters are capable of. If demons can do this to my village then certainly other creatures can too." His shame then turned into a flicker of profound fear. While he beared the weight of these intense emotions like Atlas he suddenly heard Zhi's response. Tetsuhiko was too distraught himself to notice her emotions for the time being or the other conversations occurring around him. Her voice became a soothing distraction for now.
Tetsuhiko tapped his chin when he heard more of her abilities. This was not the average kunoichi, no, not at all. Then again, the strongest ninjas seem to always have a mixture of abilities that are unique and difficult to anticipate.During his spar with her, he was constantly confused by her abilities and the effects of her Jutsu. When she also bragged about her sensing talent he became further confused. "Based on those super punches I thought she was a taijutsu user. Her sensory abilities make sense now and explain why she was able to anticipate so many attacks I would make." After the Iron Prince of Sunagakure made his deductions he grinned and responded. "No, I can't do that. I find that I'm more interested in music, I can play Ninjutsu and Genjutsu through musical instruments. Sometimes those instruments are on my wrists and other times they are in my puppets. Beautiful serene music can become deadly in an instant" He pulled up his sleeves and showed her his tambourine wrist bands for a moment before letting the sleeves fall back down.
With an arched eyebrow he spoke up again. "So what makes you so fast? Is it some sort of bloodline ability then? Or is it a taijutsu style?" This was an important inquiry for him to understand Zhi's whole gimmic. "My bloodline allows me to turn my chakra into magnetic fields.
